I posted this in another thread but will post it here because this is what the future holds for us if the left takes over. Debanking is the tip of the iceberg.

Was Melania Trump de-banked? AI

Yes, Melania Trump has claimed that she and her son, Barron, were "debanked". She publicly alleged the following regarding the situation: The Memoir Claims: In her memoir, Melania wrote that her long-time bank abruptly terminated her account. She also claimed that the same bank refused to allow her son, Barron, to open a new account, which she attributed to political discrimination.

Charity Impact: In a subsequent interview, she further stated that the bank's decision to close her accounts negatively impacted the foster children she supported, as her university charity lost the ability to process donations. The broader topic of "political debanking" has become a subject of intense political scrutiny, with the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability launching investigations into whether such account closures were politically motivated. Banks and regulatory agencies, however, generally do not comment on specific customer closures or explicitly confirm political motivations, citing standard legal and regulatory compliance.

Name of Bank?

Melania Trump did not publicly name the specific bank in her memoir. However, her claims have been closely linked to specific financial institutions through subsequent Trump family legal filings and investigations:

JPMorgan Chase: Donald Trump filed a $5 billion lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase alleging political debanking. Court records and subsequent reports regarding the family's "debanking" allegations explicitly name JPMorgan as the institution that closed multiple Trump family accounts.

Capital One: The Trump Organization filed a separate lawsuit against Capital One for closing hundreds of business and personal accounts used or controlled by the family.

What is the status of Trump's five billion dollar Lawsuit against JP Morgan Chase?

The $5 billion lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump (and several of his business entities) against JPMorgan Chase and CEO Jamie Dimon remains ongoing as of mid-2026.

cnn.com

Key DetailsFiling: Trump filed the suit on January 22, 2026, in Florida state court (Miami-Dade County). It accuses JPMorgan of "debanking" him and his businesses for political reasons. The bank allegedly closed multiple accounts in February 2021 (shortly after the January 6 Capitol riot and the end of Trump's first term), providing only 60 days' notice with no detailed explanation.

reuters.com

Claims: The complaint alleges trade libel, violations of Florida's unfair and deceptive trade practices, breach of implied covenant of good faith, and other issues. It claims the bank singled out Trump due to political pressure and placed him on a "blacklist." Damages sought: at least $5 billion.

foxbusiness.com

JPMorgan's Response: The bank has called the suit meritless, stating it does not close accounts for political or religious reasons but due to legal/regulatory risks. It has not denied closing the accounts but attributes the decision to risk management.

jpmorganchase.com

Current Status (as of latest available updates): In February 2026, JPMorgan removed the case to U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida (case no. 1:26-cv-21106) and argued that including Dimon as a defendant was "fraudulent" (intended only to keep the case in state court). They plan to seek dismissal and potentially transfer it further (e.g., to New York).
--------------------------------

If it is in Florida JP better settle out of court. Either way, JP is paying legal fees and losing money over their stupidity. Did they think that Trump was just going to roll over?

Do we know the time frame when Melania Trump and her son were debanked?

Yes, the timeframe is early 2021, specifically in the weeks following the Trump family's departure from the White House in late January 2021 (shortly after the January 6 Capitol events).

nypost.com

Melania Trump described this in her 2024 memoir Melania. She wrote that her long-time bank (name not disclosed) abruptly terminated her account and refused to open a new one for her then-teenage son Barron. She attributed it to political discrimination and "cancel culture" tied to the post-election/January 6 backlash, calling it a potential civil rights issue.

Melania's account: Closed after a long relationship.
Barron's attempt: Denied when trying to open a new account at the same institution.

Donald walked out on Kristen Welker because she pushed back against his claims of voter fraud. That's all he's got; he couldn't afford to have people thinking he might be lying, so he walked. He knows if he can't convince people there's widespread voter fraud he's had it. He hasn't delivered on any of his campaign promises and all he has left is con.

Well, yes, there has been a lawless push, there are many factors that contribute to the devolving of a society.

I could also argue that a considerable portion of the "church" waiting for the Rapture, asserting that this is not their home, has created

an impotent church that has lost much of its salt and light and therefore has been complicit in downward trend of lawlessness.

Certainly an authoritarian style of leadership can create a more stable society depending how oppressive the regime is, having stated

this, seems to me that the right to bear arms was included as is insurance against an authoritarian regime forming in America... isn't that why it

was designed as a Constitutional Republic.

I just think a top down approach in a nation like the USA will cause further fragmentation, civil unrest and who knows what else which we already see happening.
The way to avoid highly authoritarian governments developing is to raise the ethical aspirations of the population through the broadcasting and demonstration, of the gospel to every strata of society, not through depending upon the election of righteous governments or policies to impose higher standards on the people. There is a danger that energy that should be spent in sharing the good news is not expended there because too much energy is being focussed on securing political change, which by its nature is through imposition of authoritarian laws, not spiritual aspiration.

Considering that the evangelical USA has succumbed to the deepest psy-op of all time with Scofield-Darbyism I am no no longer convinced of what you state.
Even so called "Christians" can be convinced something is righteous/biblical when actuality it is in direct contradiction to the words of Christ Jesus.

He is a bad spot for sure. No amount of money is worth the consequences of what he has done and what he continues to do.
It was “No new forever wars.” The shite Islamists and the IRGC have been at war with the US for 47 years. Trump is not starting a new war, but de-escalating and ending an old one before it becomes a nuclear one.

There are many places where he stated no new wars clearly, along with I am the "peace President."

Actually the USA instigated these trouble with Iran about 50 years ago when the elected government by the people of Iran wanted to regain control of its natural resources one being >>> "oil."

So the US has been at war with Iran longer than the Vietnam War? That's funny.

Mike Johnson: "Some of these efforts are so 'diabolical' and so far upstream it is impossible to prove; but I think 'everyone knows instinctively' something is wrong here." What else can you say but wow, manipulation 101. There are no facts, but "everyone" knows it's true. The kicker is, all the known facts show there is no fraud in California. Sometimes facts are inconvenient I guess.

The British used the US to instigate these troubles with Iran about 50 years ago. But Trump did not. So, it is not a new war started by Trump.
Though the British messed up and did a lot of treacherous double deals with Iran and that is true indeed, really It's the IRGC's own fault, they are pagans that massacre the weak and defenseless. The IRGC is entirely responsible for starting the war from the moment they massacred tens of thousands of defenseless people and tried to wickedly lie about it. They thought they could lie and deceive and get away with it, but the God of Truth made sure they'll never ever get away with it, praise Jesus.

Only a fervent DJT supporter would make such a weak statement. 'He clearly stated he would bring peace.
