This is NOT the mark of the Beast, but I find it interesting that technology is moving in the direction of microchips embedded in your hand or forehead. It is all about conditioning the public and getting them warmed up to the idea and then BAM, they'll lay it on you. I can't believe 50 parents allowed their children to enroll in this program as well as 4 teachers.

Many places already use a fingerprint instead of key cards for entry.
The gym I used to go to had the fingerprint. Every single time I went there it would reject me. My print wouldn't even register.

Paying by fingerprint? Hmmmm. With my luck I would be denied that way too.

This may sound awful but I do see the appeal to always know where your child is. If I had one I would do everything in my power to protect them I would probably be one of those parents. And when they got to be 18 they could go and get it taken out. Think of how many children could have been saved if someone would have had this technology at the time. Like that board of missing children's faces you walk by in stores. Think of how this could affect kidnapping and abductions in the future. So I completely understand the view on children. On the other hand I don't want the government to know where I am at all times. This may just be my inner Jason Bourne coming out but does that thought freak anyone else out? A child I can understand because they are defenseless most times against adults and this would be helpful in finding missing children and adults too I guess but still... I'm am wishy washy on this subject. Yes to kids and adults can just choose on their own.

I totally agree.
The thought of being able to know where your kid is at all times sounds wonderful.

The thought of knowing where your kids are is a great idea, I agree. But I think this system is a little TOO invasive: bank account info, address...nah, I'll pass.

Because there is no possible way it could be.
The whole computer chip/666 thing is nothing more than a conspiracy theory. No truth to it.

Just had to post this....lol

Oh Oh...now ya did it! HA HA. That's a good question and there are a lot of theories...none conclusive. But, this just too close to home. some people seem to think the mark is only symbolic. yet, in the original greek, the greek "mark' means an etching or a cut into the skin. If John says he saw a "mark", that is what he saw. Somethings are just literal. Some aree symbolic. Not too difficult to understand.

etching, seal, anything of that sort

My view was it was a Roman coin with the emperors name on it.

Whatever it turns out to be I think (maybe I'm wrong?), it would be in keeping with the way things are today. There is so much division right now...not just here in the U.S. politically. Maybe it will be something visble to show loyalty to the established norms. Sorta like a badge of honor...or in this case "dishonor?" By NOT having it, it would identify us as not being in the "club".

Im not a futurist so I think the "mark" has already happened, but I did think about a current example.

Think about the welfare system. I am NOT knocking it. Sometimes people need help, but we are to TRUST GOD. Welfare is the government providing for you. You lose your job. Hit hard times...then you "have" to use welfare to survive. In a subtle way you are turning on God by not relying on him. Then you are under government control before you know it.
Not saying welfare is bad or the mark...just something to think about

I agree. It was instituted as a temporary means. But, I know people (family members) who have been on it for like 40 years! No joking! And what's worse they have kids who are grown and use it now.

I just don't get microchip out of this.

Revelation 13

13:14-15 The second beast shows his likeness to Satan as he deceives (12:9) the "earth dwellers" through the spectacular signs he can perform (see 2Th 2:9). He persuades the "earth dwellers" to erect an image of the first beast to worship. This sort of thing was common to John's original readers, who had been exposed to images of the Greco-Roman gods and Roman emperors, but this image comes to life.

13:16-18 The mark of the beast, apparently a sort of tattoo or brand of the beast's name or its numerical equivalent, is required for anyone to conduct business in that day. The mark is clearly contrasted with the seal (7:3-4) and the name of the Lamb and the Father (14:1) on the foreheads of the 144,000. The number (666) reflects the fact that the number 6 is just short of the number of perfection, which is 7. So the number 666 intensifies the sense that the beast does not possess the perfection of divinity. But the validity of such calculations will become fully clear only as the end-time events unfold.

Between your drivers license, ID card, and social security #. Whats the big deal?

2 Peter 1:20 says, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

Bearing in mind that the Bible has no reasonable reference to microchips or other technology, so this can only be considered as “private interpretation” and is neither allowed nor necessary. This would also be considered as adding to the book of Revelation, which also carries an extremely severe warning.

Did you know that a social security number was developed as a VOLUNTARY thing. Now we all have them.

I can see the idea of conditioning people with a program, to see how they will react. Kinda like bankrupting Greece and watching the results to see if it would be a good idea now to try it on the United States.......just thinking out loud.

So..this "mark" is obviously something to avoid...at all costs. Whether it is a physical (and I think it is) or not...it is NOT to be accepted. John also says that we will not be able to buy or sell without it. Let's say we do go cashless...to make things "easier and convenient" for us. It would almost have to be physical. Someone will want proof that we are "in" the system. They are not simply going to take our word for it that we are all for the leadership.

"Are you in with the leader?"

"Why, yes we are. He is a dandy fella."

"Okay, here's your purchase."

"That was easy."

"Oh. By the way...could we see your hand?"

I don't see why the mark would be physical, rather than spiritual. That said, I'm not keen on this technology because we don't know if the micro-chip could do damage to the body or have radiation levels. I don't know the science behind such things but surely it's not healthy to insert foreign objects into the human body.

No chip going in my children or myself by freewill ever.

i'm sure the case of "kidnap" and keeping children safe will always be played but not buying into any of it.

i'm sure the no identity theft or misuse of accounts will also be played.

"a safe world" does not exist while man is in rebellion to His Creator.
