Anyone familiar with William Branham has probably seen this photo. It was taken during one his sermons and has taken on an iconic status. Branham claimed it's a pillar of fire; others call it a halo. It hangs in all Branham churches, which are based on Branham's teachings and call themselves The Message.

The following video comes from https://william-branham.org/. It's part of a series from John Collins, a man who grew up in one of The Message groups. It reveals what this light actually is: hard as it is to believe, it's just a light. The entire series is over six hours long, broken up into short episodes. For anyone curious about Branham it's a goldmine.

I may have misspoken. There are a few more episodes in this series that I thought. It's probably more like 8 hours or better.

It does show that Jim Jones probably broke with Branham over the issue of racism on Branham's part. It also shows strong evidence that JFK's assassination was probably orchestrated by the KKK in Texas. Its leader was Rev. Roy E. Davis, the "minister" who took Branham under his wing at the beginning of his ministry and remained an important figure throughout his life.

Before there was photoshop, photographers knew about a lot of ways to manipulate pictures and there are also a lot of accidental anomalies in photography.

I've never seen anything remotely like this manifest in real time, so, I suppose I'd approach this with a healthy level of skepticism.
