we the sisters have been commanded(yes, it's a command) from the Word of God to be submissive to our husbands(for those who are already married), yet I noticed that some sisters have issues with this. Well, we don't have to bc, guess what? there is good news for us! And the good news is that, we get to choose who to summit to!! Glory! Isn't it a great relief that I get to choose who to submit to!! Abba Father!!
Does anyone wants to refute this fact that we have been given the 'special grace' to get to choose whom to summit to ? Lol . Bring forth your argument then!

Might help if you were more clear.

It's a command.
For those already married.
We get to choose who to submit to.

If it's a command to submit to husbands then how are you getting to Choose who to submit to? By who you marry? If so, you said 'for those who are already married', which means they no longer get to choose. This was written very unclear and seems to contradict itself.

Also if you are trying to engage in a conversation on the topic, you're better off not posting a blog, but posting in the forums instead.

Thanks for the correcting. To begin with, English is my 3rd language therefore I am trying to learn by doing lol. That's why I welcome corrections. And secondly I am new here and still trying to figure out how this works. Well I will hid to your advice by getting in to the forum. Thanks again. God bless

I have a different opinion, but I respect yours :)

What I think is that if there´s love among two people, and deep understanding, there´s no need to "submit" to anyone. You don´t marry into slavery, you marry because you decide that special person is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Marriage is not a slave contract, marriage is an equal arrangement to live together, suffer together, laugh together. It goes deeper than just "choosing someone to submit to".Heck, if I´m tired or in need, im pretty sure my husband will support me. If he´s in pain, I´ll be there for him as well, and not by command but by my own free will.

dear sis i totally agree with u that marriage is not a slave contract. you have just stated your opinion which is what i respect as well but you haven't stated it in line with the said bible passage in question; So let me know your understanding of Eph 5:22 pls. thanks

[BThe main issue is understanding first the structure, and order God established for marriage, which He created the institution of, and then even more so, recreated it in the new covenant. I am working on this message right now. Prior to Christ, woman was thought to be lesser than man, after the cross we are recreated and woman is a joint heir, and His Spirit is poured out on all flesh. This, ironically created an even greater necessity for Godly structure in marriage, because we Were an image of Adam and Eve, but now rather, we are the image of Christ and the Church. This is a much larger responsibility. If you read, it always first calls the wife to take the place as the Church, every time it mentions to the woman first. Why??? Because a husband cannot act out the love of Christ, nor will it be perceived properly, nor received if the wife is living in spiritual rebellion. It would be like us experiencing the fullness of the Spirit while our hearts are in rebellion and against God. And yes, Christ died for the world while we were yet sinners, but you will never walk in the peace and blessing of Christ while in rebellion to God. The Word(The Son), is the greatest thing in the universe, it all revolves around Him, yet all He has ever done is submit to the will of the Father. Christ invented powerful submission. [/B]
