Jesus did not say this in any way disrespectfully..... Note the scripture:
John 19:26-27 (KJV) [SUP]26 [/SUP]When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! [SUP]27 [/SUP]Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Here Jesus was more concerned about His mother than He was Himself.

Jesus was without sin. That pretty much settles it.
more correctly imho some bibles say 'took her unto his own' to say to his home to the Pharisees and Sadducees and other strict Jews would have been a scandal of the first magnitude - wincam

Ah, someone's thinking.
yes nearly there imho - in our culture, and especially in England woman would mean my woman or my wife as in Adam and Eve hence reference to son and mother also at the same time - wincam
