Praise the Lord,
Dear Brother/Sister
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The intension behind sharing my testimony is to help the reader understand the background behind the motives, passion and vision of this movement.
My birth itself was a miracle because my mother tried her best to abort me when I was in the womb due to a critical condition. They went around hospital after hospital to abort me but did not succeed. In fact one of my Aunts, who is a nurse, came forward to do that but God protected me to fulfill his sovereign plan. The scripture verse “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (Jer 1:5) is exactly fulfilled in my life. I was born just before four days to Christmas on 21st Dec, 1977.
As I was growing in my child hood, the enemy tried his best to take me in many occasions but it was God’s unseen hand which has protected me. Still I remember those incidents which made me to have near death experience. For instance, when I was in the age of 7 yrs, in the year 1984, I was drowned in a huge pond, which is the source for water to the entire village. I was almost dead in the water but fortunately a stranger who came to wash his hand in the pond noticed my drowned body because when he kept his hands into the water he felt some thing touching his hands, so when he lifted it I was my body which is almost in dead condition. The entire villagers gather around the body thinking that I was dead but God in his sovereign will gave me life again to fulfill his mission. There are several incidents such as accidents, sickness, depressive moods which prompt me to commit suicide but God made me alive.
There was intense desire, which was given by God, to help the poor and needy from my childhood. In fact, in the year 1989 while I was in my schooling, I replied to one of my father’s questions that I would like to start an orphanage and old age home. Even though I did not have regeneration experience, there was concern to serve the poor and need which made met to extend my help to a few poor students who have settled in life at present.
It was in the year 1993 I gave my life to Christ and had regeneration experience in a gospel meeting which was organized exclusively for College students. But I was not faithful in following the Lord. I was backslided and failed in my college studies because of bad friend circle with bad habit of watching movies with out discipline. As the result, I felt lonely and guilty which made me to runaway from the home. I ran way form the home but there is no peace in me which led me to attend a prayer meeting in which I was touched by the spirit of God and rededicated. I was baptized in 1996. Then the interest to serve God started growing in me, as the result I started Sunday school & youth ministry in my village, Varahapatnam which is near to Kaikaluru, Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.
My faith in Christ increased because of the ministry. While I was doing my bachelors degree, in the year 1997, the Lord called me for His fulltime ministry but I did not obey to his call. The Lord reminded His call time and again in different occasions but I disobeyed to His heavenly call. In the year 2000, I just obeyed to god’s call but I did not surrender completely. After the completion of my B.Sc and B.Ed degrees I did Teacher job, Medical transcription jobs which gave me backup to my financial stability. I was cool in my job and doing some charity work and thought that I was settled in life, but there was restlessness which started in the year 2006. The Lord severely warned me and reminded me his call again at the end that year. . The inner restlessness continued until I resigned to the job in March, 2007 and was at peace when I was relieved from my job.
I did not know where to begin and how to begin my mission work. There were several invitations and offers to work together with different people but the Lord has not given me peace to join with them. I struggled a lot financially due to lack of support and also I struggled to understand His guidance. I rustled in prayer to Know his will as the result the guided me to start an organization called “LYNY (Love Your Neighbor as Yourself” (Mark 12:33) April, 2007.
The Lord started doing miracles in the ministry because we started the ministry with out any support. Starting an orphanage with three girl children, in June 2007, is one of the miracles of the mission. There were many incidents which prove God’s providence to his children. The home is started with out any regular support but God proved His faithfulness. . The Lord honored our faith and he has been faithful in providing day to day financial needs.
To remind a few miracles of such, there was no money to pay the advance for the house to start the home. The Lord sent an unknown lady to the first prayer meeting, who offered some amount which is having the amount exactly the need for the advance. She informed me that the Lord insisted her to give that exact amount even though she was stingy to give it. She said, “I am at peace after handing over the money to me.” God’s ways are wonderful.
Once we were praying for the soaps, tooth pasts for he kids in the home. Miraculously the Lord sent a person, who is unknown to us, sent a cover which is having some money. To my surprise he wrote on the top of the cover, “Please buy Soaps and pastes.” Another Sunday evening at 4pm, the cook informed me that there is no rice to cook and she just stepped out, within no time a two wheeler stopped at the gate and an unknown person brought a bag of rice and sat with relaxed feeling. When I enquired about him, he replied, “There is an inner urge that made me restless until I left this rice bag at your door steps.” There are number of miracles such as these and in fact every day is a miracle because the kids in the home and all of us look to God for His providence. The Lord has been gracious to us to survive and sustain in the mist of struggles.
Presently the home consist 23 girls to whom we are providing good food, education and cloths. We try to create family atmosphere to the kids so that they grow in love and care. We celebrate every child’s birthday in which provided good food to all and dress and cake to the kid. We believe that the Lord has appointed us to serve the kids which help us to treat them as our own kids.
The children whom we recruit are from different places and backgrounds of Andhra Pradesh. These kids are neglected orphans who deserve help. Our vision is to provide good education to these neglected kids to stand on their own to come up in life so that they become witnesses for Christ. We take care of them till they settle.
Apart from the Children Home, we are helping to some of girls for their college education, helping to widows, helping to poor and needy. Also, we stared school for these children and for the local slum children. We are giving education for these slum children to reach this slum for the Lord.
Our minimum monthly expenditure is 60,000. Presently we are running the home & The school in a rented building, we are in the need of own land & buildings to serve many kids effectively. Please continue to pray for the needy children in India and for the glory of God.
