But there is no forgiveness of sins at all for the Christian if he does not obey by walking in the light 1 Jn 1:7.
You need to read verses 6 and 7 together. 1 John 1:6-7 - IF we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But IF we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Walking in darkness is descriptive of lost unbelievers. Walking in the light is descriptive of saved believers. Only saved believers are in the light. Acts 26:18 - to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me. 2 Corinthians 6:14 - Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? Lost unbelievers walk in darkness, not in the light. Genuine saved believers walk in the light, not in darkness. IF confirms these positions in verses 6 and 7. It's one or the other. There is no third camp of saved believers walking in darkness or lost unbelievers walking in the light.
That statement is so idiotic as to defy description.
I repeat that it takes the Holy Spirit to be in Christ and to have Christ in you. That is right from the word of Jesus.
Your theology is man made and really insane. I use the term insane in the traditional fashion of loony.

No doubt and I agree....it also says that if we ay we have NO SIN (present tense) we are deceived and the truth is not in us....amazes me how many reject this verse in context to promote their self righteousness......
No, actually he was correct as Abraham was deceptive about his wife so as to save his own skin....maybe you should actually study the bible so as to open your eyes.....!

I do not reject those verses, but I do believe works work hand and hand with faith when it comes to salvation.
Works show prof that one is saved. Without works you show a dead faith that does not lead to salvation. Even our Lord showed what a believer in Him would do, and the works that would follow. If those things are not part of ones life then they are not saved, because they do not have true faith in the Lord.
Being perfect that the bible speaks of is about walking in love;
Matthew 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Matthew 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
If you walk in love, which is not hard to do, then you will obey all that the Lord told you to do. You will be perfect as He is perfect, because He came to show us His love for us while we were still sinners and without God's grace. We were grafted in because of our belief in Him, and He says we will stay in that grace as long as we continue in His goodness.
Romans 11:19-22
Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.
