what is the worse thing you had to go through and how did you overcome it? I had a friend who's daughter took her own life, the trauma was too much for him and he followed shortly after.

I haven't personally seen many bad things. The worst I've gone through is my mother's affair and my parents' divorce. I was 11 and it felt like the world was over. (Spoiler: It wasn't.)

sorry to hear this. 1. my paternal grandmother's death. she & i bonded so wonderfully & joyously thru out our lives. we were totally meant to be bonded like that. like God designed it that way. i cried for 3 days. Jesus was there with me, relieving the pain. i witnessed Jesus to her so i'll see her in heaven. she was raised catholic. 2. being severely beaten & mistreated by my parents. when i became a born again Christian in 1993, i forgave my parents immediately. i didn't even have to try, it just happened suddenly. 3. a 7 month trial. it was awful. i complained here & there but not to much. ( James 1:2,3, & 4 ) i gave myself a score of 8 on passing the trial.
