Would getting rid of all my fear help out with my self confidence?

No. Fear is a emotion. All our emotions can have positive benefactors on our life. I am in fear of God so i won't transgress God.
I am in fear of hurting my relationship with God so I won't do certain things.
Fear is a motivator in a lot of ways.
I teach Bible study and I am in fear that if I don't do a good job preparing God will not bless me. A lack of fear would harm me.
Also on the contrary I know if I am obeying God and doing his will I have no fear of messing up. I don't have to fear being a bad teacher if I put my time and effort in why? Because God makes the difference in hearts not my work. I have to pray God uses it.
You will always have the emotion of fear. But we all need to fight it to a certain extent. I am afraid to do certain things I know I should. But I know if I am on good terms with God and in the right mindset then there's nothing to be afraid of. But I still will have the fear.

God can give us the ability to conquer fear. But to a extent it will always be there.
Self esteem is irrelevant. You are God's vessel and if you make your self useable He will use you.
Romans 8:31-32
31What then shall we say of these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
If God is for you then nothing can be against you. why? Because he controls the outcome.
Proverbs 16:9
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.
in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall DIRECT THY PATHS.
trust what God says in his own and trust his methods. You will have fear but LEAN NOT to your own understanding. Follow what God says instead and he will direct you.

I dont think to over come fear is an easy thing to do , but I am sure it is possible , but whats more important i think is to work on yourself , so u can get freed of it and of course you need to have good and supportative people around you ... then things might get better for you !
Don't get rid of your fears, but embrace them. It's okay to have fear but don't let them control your life
If I got rid of my fears I don't think it would improve my self esteem. Stopping yourself from making a mental image of how you should be and thinking you are great the way you are may improve your confidence.
