Huh nobody knows what huhu grubs are.
Well I don't recall ever eating one, but people say they taste a bit like peanut butter.

Would you ever eat a trumpet?

I misread it and thought you said ‘Would you ever eat Trump’😂

I'm not allowed to answer my own question right?

So will ask again would you ever eat a trumpet?
Or maybe you don't know what a trumpet is?
clue..You can't beat a trumpet!

^^ nevermind^^

It's actually a food.
I'm not asking you would you ever eat a hat? Or a cat.

I've never heard of trumpet as food.

I've heard of a crumpet. I've also heard of a strumpet, but I'm not going to eat one.

No cat nor a hat would be in my diet.

Would you eat tree bark bread?

Ah those. We call those drumsticks here. No idea why. They look more like trumpets than drumsticks.
Would you eat one?

I haven't tried bark bread. If it was cinnamon bark, I would eat it.

Would you eat eel?
What if you had to catch and prepare it yourself?

Yes I've eaten eel
If I had to catch and prepare it myself I would still eat it.

Would you ever eat...a tulip bulb?

Umm, no. Those aren't edible, are they?

No, not raw.

Would you eat nutritional yeast?
I read that Audrey Hepburn (she's Dutch) ate tulip bulbs during the war as they were starving and had nothing else to ear.

I have and do eat vegemite.

No wasabi eaters?

I'm reading Anthony Bourdain. I don't know why...after a while it gets old when he's constantly going on about being a chef and eating and being a junkie. But anyway I did used to watch his show where he went around the world sampling gastronomic delights. Thing I don't really understand is...what is so great about French food?

Can someone enlighten me. What, in the world of food snobbery, or why, is French food elevated above all else in taste and refinement? Yes I like croissants, yes french fries are a gift to fast food, but otherwise? I can't name any French dish that I eat on regular basis.
Surely Italian and Chinese are much better, more ubiquitous, and easier to digest.
Pizza, pasta, antipasto...
Yum cha, fried rice, spring rolls..

Has anyone, like Julia Child, mastered the art of French Cooking? The only thing I've made is ratatouille, and while quiche looks easy, I would never want to eat that many eggs in one sitting.
