^_^ Glad we could rouse you to post a thread, Grace. You're awesome, btw!! ..if no one else has told you today.
Would I sell an organ or limb for money? Hmm... I wonder. I don't really love money, which is the root of all evil (*see 1 Tim 6). It does help in several cases, however...
For example, America spends something like $160 Billion dollars on Christmas gifts, decorations, etc...every year. Do you know how much it would cost to give every country, town, people, etc...clean water for the entire earth?? $10 Billion.
Think about it.
So, depending on the cause, sure! Would I give up my legs so the world could have clean drinking water? Absolutely. All the more if it was Christ-centered. Would I give my entire life, my body to killed, for the Gospel? I believe and pray that I would. Life's not about us. It never was. It's about Christ. The thing is... He gives us a pen, so we can write in what sort of role we play in His story. I hope to give the pen back to Him, because He's really a better writer than I am anyway.
That said, I hope to be one of His supporting characters, and if I die, I die. It would be an honor, whether or not I'm ever remembered, to be willing to give my life for the Jesus who was so willing to give His life for me.
"If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." -Romans 14:8
