Although Gentiles aren't contracted with God to comply with the covenant
that Yhvh's people agreed upon with Him as per Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers,
and Deuteronomy; it's useful for revealing God's feelings about certain kinds
of behavior; for example:

Lev 19:11 . . You shall not deal falsely, nor lie to one another.

Once a Gentile is made aware that their maker disapproves of dishonesty,
henceforth they get in hot water every time they're less than truthful
because God is lenient with uninformed liars but has little patience with
scofflaws.

Num 15:30-31 . .The person, be he citizen or stranger, who acts defiantly
reviles the Lord; that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Because he has spurned the word of the Lord and violated His
commandment, that person shall be cut off-- he bears his guilt.

So; what might "cut off" amount to? Well; for one: no liar will be allowed
entrance to the holy city.

Rev 21:27 . . No one who practices lying shall ever come into it

Rev 22:14-15 . . Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they
may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into
the city. But outside are whoever loves and practices a lie.

The law's task then; is to instill fear in dishonesty, and make liars aware that
if they opt to take their chances, and stand before God to be judged on their
own merits; that they haven't the slightest, slimmest possibility of coming
away unscathed. It's a 110% forgone conclusion that they will come away
dead.

Rev 21:8 . . All liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death.

I am willing to bet that nobody can get through the day without dishonesty--
we need dishonesty, we have to have dishonesty or interactions with our
friends, with strangers, with associates, with superiors and loved ones would
be very strained indeed. It is just humanly impossible to be honest all the
time. I would even go so far as to say that in the world in which we live; it's
not smart to be 110% honest all the time; viz: "Honesty is the best policy"
just isn't true; not in the world we live in anyway; which is a bit of a catch
22.

Q: Why does everyone find it so easy to lie?

A: Because human beings are natural-born liars.

Ps 58:3 . . The wicked are estranged from the womb; these who speak lies
go astray from birth.

That's an interesting statement. It's saying-- in so many words --that
although infants are too young to lie; they are born with a proclivity to lie;
i.e. a natural predilection, and that's what makes them wicked because that
inborn inclination to lie is in them and will eventually have its way with
them.

Q: How are people supposed to obey that commandment seeing as how
we're all natural-born liars?

A: Nobody can, it's impossible.

Jer 13:23 . . Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots?
Then you also can do good who are accustomed to doing evil.

Well; the Schoolmaster's goal is not only to frighten liars and make them
nervous; but also to show them the God-given way out of their predicament.

On the night Jesus was born, a heavenly messenger made the following
announcement:

Luke 2:10 . . Don't be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will
be for all the people.

The cross' first and foremost purpose was to satisfy justice for all kinds of
sin, including dishonesty. That right there should make liars breathe a little
easier in respect to the sum of all fears.

1John 2:2 . . He himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours
only, but also for those of the whole world.

Isa 53:6 . . All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to
his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on him.

FYI: The June 2017 issue of National Geographic magazine contains a very
interesting article titled: Why We Lie. There's actually been studies done
about this.

I must disagree, the law's task is clearly spelled out in the Word...

Galatians 3:23-25
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we
might be justified by faith.
The koiné Greek word translated "justified" is dikaioo (dik-ah-yo'-o) which
essentially means to regard as innocent.

In order for God to grant dishonesty a grade of innocence, He can't merely
forgive it the way that former US President Gerald Ford pardoned former US
President Richard Nixon back in 1974 relative to the Watergate scandal.
Ford's pardon in no way exonerated Nixon, it only let him off the hook.
Though the pardon protected Nixon from impeachment; his crimes didn't go
away. In other words: Mr. Nixon will always and forever be a crook.

So how does God exonerate dishonesty when there is evidence enough to
indict, go to trial, and where a verdict of guilty would be a foregone
conclusion?

Well, according to the Bible, Christ was restored to life for our justification
(Rom 4:25). In other words; though Christ's crucifixion was sufficient to
obtain pardon for dishonesty (1John 2:2); his crucifixion alone wasn't
sufficient to make it possible for people to obtain an acquittal.

1Cor 15:17 . . If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still
in your sins.

An acquittal can be defined as exoneration; viz: an adjudication of
innocence, which is normally granted when there is insufficient evidence to
convict. In other words: by means of Christ's resurrection, God was able to
cook the books so that it appears that liars have never done anything bad.
On the surface; this looks very unethical, but from the divine perspective it's
all on the up and up.

It's not too difficult to appreciate just how serious this is relative to the
outside world. If they can be persuaded that Jesus' resurrection never
happened; they will miss the opportunity to get their dishonesty expunged.
A record of their dishonesty will remain on the books, hanging over their
heads like a sword of Damocles. Out ahead, at the Great White Throne event
depicted at Rev 20:11-15, those books will be opened for review where they
can be, and will be, used to vet people for acceptance into the kingdom of
God.

Justification, on the other hand, as per the word dikaioo, completely deletes
the offender's criminal history; i.e. dikaioo wipes their records so clean and
efficiently that there is nothing left that can in any way be used to prove that
dishonest people have ever been anything less than 100% innocent.

Q: What about people's future acts of dishonesty?

A: In the past, that was a problem. Take for example Yom Kippur, the grand
round-up of a whole year's worth of dishonesty.

In the letter to Hebrews; it's explained that Yom Kippur's ritual is limited;
viz: it only addresses sins committed up to that point; i.e. the very moment
that the high priest completes the full and complete ritual, new sins
immediately begin to accumulate on the books requiring the attention of yet
another Yom Kippur; and another, and another, and another, ad infinitum;
viz: Yom Kippur's ritual is never sufficient to address sins once and for all. In
other words: it's always and only for addressing the people's past sins;
never their future sins.

Now, the advantage of the kind of justification I'm talking about is that
offenders need obtain it only once because from thence, God stops keeping
records on them.

2Cor 5:19 . .God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not
counting their trespasses against them

The word translated "counting" is logizomai (log-id'-zom ahee) which means
to take an inventory.

Rom 4:8 . . Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not record.

NOTE: According to Gal 3:24, the acquittal I'm talking about is only
available via faith. In other words: liars with faith obtain exoneration while
liars lacking faith do not obtain exoneration. Non acquitted liars are on track
for the brimstone depicted at Rev 20:11-15 where they will undergo death
akin to a foundry worker falling into a kettle of molten iron.

Words - words - words -

I just love the simplicity in Christ. I rest in His atonement, justification and mercy for me all purchased by His blood.

Now, for those who will jump on this and tell me that this must give me an excuse to sin, how could it when I realize how much He loves me. And the sacrifice He went through to receive me unto Himself just the way that I am - imperfect and usually falling short of even what I want to be. What amazing grace!

We should be shouting this to the world - not a bunch of laws.

While it is true that a person can only get saved once, and that getting saved once guarantees a person's salvation, it is not true that God "stops keeping records".

2 Cor 5:
10) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Col 3:
24) Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25) But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Your passages speak of something other than the criminal records that are
being kept on non justified liars with which to judge them at the great white
throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15.

According to post #5, justified liars need not fear that event. Even those
among habitual liars need not fear it if so be that they have been justified
via the faith spoken of in Gal 3:24. If that's not so, then the schoolmaster's
efforts are quite futile and 2Cor 5:19 is a big fat lie.

Christians do not need to fear the white throne judgment because we are saved.

But the judgment seat of Christ in 2 Cor 5:10 is not the white throne judgment.

Every Christian will stand before Jesus Christ and be judged according to what he has done. Our works will be tried, and we will be rewarded accordingly, whether good or bad (1 Cor 3:11ff).

It is not true that once a person is saved, God "stops keeping records". If it were true, it would be pointless to confess our sin (1 John 1:8-10), as we would just be reminding God of what, according to your view, He has no record of.

Also, why bother trying to be obedient? If God is not keeping record, anything we do would not matter. But it matters a great deal.

Again, I am not saying that a Christian's salvation is in doubt, because it's not. But rewards will be based on what we have done. Rewards are earned, and can be lost.

I came to the Lord in February of 1968. Prior to that moment, every time I
was dishonest, the incident was added to a criminal indictment on track to
be used against me at the great white throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15.

That indictment no longer exists; it was nailed to the cross in February of
1968 and God has no intention of drafting another.

It is pointless to confess and confess and confess over and over each day because it's not the confession that causes forgiveness but the cross. And for sure there are thousands of things we do via our mind and our actions that are sinful and we don't always remember them. Each day what we do need to do is thank the Lord for His forgiveness and the righteousness He gave us at the time of our salvation. That because of Jesus we are righteous IN God's sight.

Our rewards and the lack of them will depend on what we did with the faith that we were given. Not if we confessed that we missed the opportunity. Our life is an opportunity to serve God and others. We are given the opportunity to live by faith and not by sight.,and blessed to be a blessing to those around us. To grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus. How we do this will determine the rewards or lack of them.

Praise Jesus we are not judged or condemned with the world. We are now sons and daughters., heirs and joint heirs with Christ., the sheep of His pasture., Fellow priests called to the task of reconciling the world to Christ. How awesome is that?!! And we have the Holy Spirit in us to help do this. We can't lose!!

A curious idea men have of what repentance is! Many fancy that so many tears are to be shed, and so many groans are to be heaved, and so much despair is to be endured. Whence comes this unreasonable notion? Unbelief and despair are sins, and therefore I do not see how they can be constituent elements of acceptable repentance; yet there are many who regard them as necessary parts of true Christian experience. They are in great error … To repent is to change your mind about sin, and Christ, and all the great things of God.

[FONT=&quot]Romans 5:6: “Christ died for the ungodly.” Are you ungodly? Then Christ died for you! Take your stand on that revelation and let nothing move you. If the devil should remind you that you are a sinner, smite him with his own sword: “Christ died to save sinners.” [/FONT]

Amen Webershome. There is no more condemnation to those who are IN Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1-2

Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus.
[SUP]
2 [/SUP]For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

Us Christians must memorize and then tell other Christians to memorize these verses about there being no more condemnation coming from God. Why? Because we are now IN Christ and have the righteousness of Christ Jesus. We no longer have to try to establish our own righteousness by our works. We have the GIFT of Jesus righteousness.

We are no longer under the law of sin and death. Why? Because when we got saved and given HIS righteousness., we were given place to live under the law of the Spirit of life IN Christ Jesus.

So many Christians have yet to learn of this for their daily lives. So we need to share it every day. Amen!

ummm.... Nixon's resignation protected him from impeachment. You cannot impeach someone who is not holding political office. At least not in the most commonly used definition of "impeachment".

I would be very wary of WH, he is denying Jesus Christ as our Intercessor, he is denying
that we must go to Him in humbleness confessing our weaknesses as we commit them
as this is how we really do build and build our relationship with our Saviour, by 'over-coming'
our human weaknesses, and walking in The Light, it's a life-long process that reaps many heavenly rewards...

this is a very dangerous thing, to tell others that they many freely 'sin' with no consequences,
actually, it's delusional and satanic...

this is a very dangerous thing, to tell others that they many freely 'sin' with
no consequences, actually, it's delusional and satanic
The judicial consequences for my sins, from first to last, were dealt with on
the cross. From now on, any consequences I might deserve for my sins are
dealt with as a family matter. In other words: I am in absolutely no danger
of hell whatsoever regardless of the number and/or the gravity of my sins.

John 5:24 . . I assure you; those who listen to my message, and believe in
God who sent me, have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their
sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

On the night that Jesus was born, a celestial messenger made this
announcement:

Luke 2:10 . . I bring you good news of great joy

Unless your version of the gospel guarantees a fail-safe, sin-proof, human
nature-proof, Ten Commandments-proof, bad behavior-proof, apostasy
proof, reprobate-proof, back-sliding proof, God-proof, Devil-proof rescue
from the wrath of God and full time protection from retribution; then your
version of the gospel does not announce good news of great joy, on the
contrary, your version of the gospel announces bad news of great anxiety
and nervous anticipation of the coming judgment; i.e. your version of the
gospel is a false hope.

BTW: Note the grammatical tense of the "have" verb in Jesus statement
above. It's present tense rather than future, indicating that those who listen
to his message, and believe in God who sent him, have eternal life right
now-- no delay and no waiting period.

In point of fact; according to God's testimony, as a credible expert witness in
all matters pertaining to eternal life, people lacking it are also lacking His
son; i.e. people lacking eternal life are quite christless.

1John 5:11-12 . . And this is what God has testified: He has given us
eternal life, and this life is in His son. So whoever has God's son has the life;
whoever does not have the life, does not have His son.

Without God's son, it is impossible to qualify as one of his sheep.

Rom 8:9 . . If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong
to Christ.

We can be pretty sure that the world in general does not have the Spirit of
Christ-- i.e. does not have eternal life --but how many Christians might
there be in the same condition?

Well; for starters: Roman Catholicism-- known everywhere as the largest
single denomination in the world --currently consists of approximately 1.2
billion followers who all, to a man, including the Pope, insist that nobody
obtains eternal life till sometime after they die and cross over to the other
side.

That can mean but one thing, and one thing only: seeing as how those 1.2
billion souls are currently lacking eternal life, then according to God's expert
testimony they are currently without Christ; i.e. not his sheep. You can safely
apply that rule to any, and all, denominations, religions, and/or spiritual
ideologies insisting that eternal life cannot be obtained prior to one's demise.

Just a sidenote to those that say that CHRISTmas is not in December and the RCC changed it to maske a pegan holiday. You are right Jesus was not born in December, He was born id the Spring time that was the time the the shepherds took their flocks to graze in the fields of Israel. Many say that Constantine changed it to get Christians to worship on a pegan holiday, here is another slant to the reason why he changed it.

Firs no one knows the exact day that Christ was born, so Constantine changed it because at this time is the summer solstice, here's what google says about this day.

"the solstice that marks the onset of summer, at the time of the longest day, about June 21 in the northern hemisphere and December 22 in the southern hemisphere." With this in mind Constantine seeing that it is the darkest day of the year, which would place man in darkness for the longest time of the year, he seen it as a chance to celebrate the birth of the, "light of the world" Jesus.

Taking the day that men are in darkness for the longest time of the year to celebrate the light of the world is an idea that should remind mankind of the birth of Jesus, why he picked the 25th over the 22nd is because he did not have the science that we have today (my understanding).

Jesus was born in the spring and we know He for sure died in the spring at the time of the passover.

Mark 12:30 . .You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and
with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.

One of the aspects of love is empathy; which can be roughly defined as
emotional responses related to things like remorse, compassion, pity, and
sympathy.

So then, in order to comply with Mark 12:30, it is necessary to feel God's
pain whenever He's upset about something.

For some people; that's an impossible requirement because they were born
with defective amygdalae; which are portions of the brain that trigger
emotional responses.

The thing is; just as there are people who can recognize humor while at the
same time not be tickled by it, so there are people who can recognize
suffering while at the same time not be moved by it. Those kinds of
empathy-challenged people are often labeled callous, insensitive, and hard
hearted. The really bad cases end up labeled monsters because the
horrific things they are capable of doing to their fellow man is beyond
humane comprehension.

So then, seeing as how non compliance with Mark 12;30 is worthy of the
sum of all fears; how are empathy-challenged people to have any hope of
escaping it?

Well; the answer to that is of course the Xmas story.

Luke 2:10-11 . . I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all
the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a
savior

Webster's defines a savior as one who rescues. Everyone has seen examples
of rescuers-- lifeguards, firemen, cops, emergency medical teams, Coast
Guard units, snow patrols, and mountain rescue teams. Rescuers typically
get people to safety who are facing imminent death and/or grave danger
while utterly helpless to do anything about it.

1John 4:10 . . In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us
and sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins.
