Agreed! Book of Eli was a great movie! It was on tv again not too long ago. I should watch it again.

Every Disney movie ever made, the Lethal Weapon series, the Die Hard series, Top Gun, Jurassic Park :)

Jules, Lethal Weapon 3 and 4 were both forgettable in my humble opinion. The original was a great gritty buddy cop classic which not only showcased perfect chemistry between two unlikely partners but a chilling performance by Gary Busey as the main villain (gotta love that guy!) and what can possibly be said about LW2 that hasn't already been? It's a TEXTBOOK example of how to make the perfect sequel: enter Joe Pesci's wacky humor, all the energy and violence of the original 10x, bad guys you LOVE to hate (the South Africans), and most importantly of all, not only did it continue the story but it also tied in nicely with the original (one of the South Africans reveals himself as the previously unknown murderer of Riggs' wife). Lethal Weapon 2 was 'movie heaven' and one of the greatest sequels of all-time.

My memory is no longer very good because of lack of use. :) I think some of the problem has to do with karaoke. I got so use to reading the lyrics of songs that I no longer tried to remember the words. That was the beginning of me reprogramming my mind to read but not retain. The last movie I remembered a lot of lines to was the first Shrek movie. And in the morning, I'm making waffles. :)

I'm surprised that no one has said The Notebook.

or Titanic.

Hopefully because both movies are stupid and everyone here knows it. *fingers crossed*

Don't get me wrong, I like a good romantic comedy (come on! Titanic was funny!), but most romantic movies are...

  • amoral
  • full of manipulative females
  • flirty females who will engage any man who pays them mind (i'm all for flirting, but not with a man I'm not in a relationship with)
  • men are portrayed as stupid
  • men are portrayed as "bad boys" who need to be "reformed"
  • Godly values are compromised
  • people are sleeping around
  • people are cheating on each other
  • gross comedy
  • and it promotes over the top expectations

See, I don't believe in Prince Charming. I don't believe in soul mates. I do believe, however, in having a man who knows who he is in Christ, who he is as my husband, and I'm VERY aware he will be a sinner who will mess up. I have no illusions that I will marry a perfectly romantic and psychic man who 1) knows what to do or say in every situation, 2) knows what I'm thinking or feeling without being told and 3) will see the error of his ways and change into the "perfect" man for me. Nah, I'd rather watch a comedy or action flick any day. :D

So if I say I really like P.S. I Love You...are ya'll gonna disown me?
