Yeah, I totally agree with that. I do agree also that for people talking on mics, they do take over the room. (With people replying to them via text) - Not their fault, just how it is.

Please, O please admin!
 
Neer thought of this, but it's a good idea! 'Cause I have noticed that some mic-users don't ever read the screen when they talk! They just wait for audible replies...and I don't think that's very fair. Mute ppl have opinions too! :-P

im all for it, but my question issss inorder to make another room, doesnt it cost money to the chatroom? lol i think they should take one room and change it to that, theres already like alot of rooms as there is, but im all for it

A text only room isn't that bad of an idea.

However, Rosinsky had a good idea too. Perhaps a mute option somewhere in the GUI of chat and a option showing that person is muted in the "chatters" list.

Rosinsky's idea IS a good one except...well...that still doesn't allow for the idea that voice/video chatters pretty much ignore the "muted" chatters..and the conversations still center around the voice/video talk......maybe this would be good for most of the rooms?? and still get a text only room going as well?? I don't know the answers....but I would love to see it happen......
 
I'm glad someone suggested this out loud. I never have sound on either. I miss when we all typed and nothing got missed. And yeah, just one room is all.
 
I think that the only text room would be great ideal..I also think that maybe instead of the keyholes I just think that our names over there should just be blue or pink..that's an ideal of what I came up with..just a suggestion..
 
I think its a great idea. Maybe have a room for text only and mic only that way everyones happy lol. :-)))))))
 
yes a text only is a good idea, as i notice there is usually two conversasions going on at 1ce, one ion cam one on text.
