My name is Yohan, I'm 34.
I was baptized in 2025.

I work IT and I manage to do extra work for my local parish and its attendees.

I am also a mass servant on sunday.

I'm registering here because I received the grace of witnessing the healing power of Christ in my life, and I feel the need to share my experience and participate in spreading the good news of the salvation that He bringed upon His children by his death on the Cross and his Resurrection.

I'm a linux system administrator on my spare time, and I help whoever asks me for help, may it be with IT or daily stuff, for it is written in Matthew chapter 7 verse 7:

"Ask, and it shall be given you".

I eager to get to know the members of this community and to get to participate in the forums.

I thank you for this correction, I didn't think it through!

I was an atheist for more than twenty years, I didn't understand the message of the word of God for a long time.
The implication of His sacrifice to redeem mankind were inducing vertigo in my mind.
When I became a father it gave me perspective.
It's an act of inconditional love adressed to His creation by God.

When it fully hit me, it was a tough conversion that is still going on.
The two years my catechist taught me about the nature of God and the meaning of His sacrifice led me to get baptized. Dying and ressurecting as a new creation.

That is why I really like Saint Paul.

Welcome Yohan. I've just bought a laptop with Linux. So far, so good. I hope I don't have to call on your expertise. We all really appreciate your offer of help. We look forward to your testimony of God's goodness.

It's wonderful to know the truth of the cross, that we die to the old and are raised again as new creations. Something else we all need to know is that Lord Jesus is now our Life, enabling us to be all that requires us to be.

It's wonderful to know the truth of the cross, that we die to the old and are raised again as new creations. Something else we all need to know is that Lord Jesus is now our Life, enabling us to be all that requires us to be.

Of of my catechists often says that we are configured to Christ in order to become alter Christus.

Over time I became happy to get to know to live by Him, with Him, and in Him.
Life as I was living it before my personal encounter with Jesus was a place of chaos and confusion.

I'll make sure to write about this subject early on.

Don't worry, I don't know enough to do that. Linux Mint runs pretty much like a Windows PC for me, except a good deal better. I bought a laptop with Mint preinstalled.

Hi Let0 glad the Lord led you here, welcome to CC! My mother was half French btw and raised Catholic. My dad was Jewish upbringing and eventually we all dropped all titles and became 'Christians' God bless you and yours

Bless you and your parents, for you inherited a great spiritual legacy, and you kept honoring them through your own faith.

Don't worry, I don't know enough to do that. Linux Mint runs pretty much like a Windows PC for me, except a good deal better. I bought a laptop with Mint preinstalled.

Mint is a very good bridge from Windows to Linux.
I don't use it because I am fond of lightweight distros. My favorite is Debian Linux, but I've spent a fair amount of time with Ubuntu as well (before GNOME became lame, lol).

If readers of this thread want to read about my conversion, I managed to write my testimony in this thread.

It may not be the testimony you were expecting, I am not a professional writer, but it is a summary of my difficult journey to Jesus.
