Often we dont seem to do things that other people think we 'should' do.

But is this really a valid criticism because, if we dont do those things its a bit late to tell the other person they should have done this or that, especially if they perhaps didnt even know they were meant to do it in the first place.
Or maybe they actually DID do it, and then you are accusing them of not doing something when in fact they did do it.

Perhaps they didnt do it to your satisfaction, but ought we really to go round saying to others you should do this or that?

It really doesnt help that person does it, to say 'you should' when maybe we ought to have grace, maybe they forgot, and give them the benefit of the doubt. Also people do get sick and often dont or cant get to things, or are so snowed under that it just slipped their mind.

If a person did say they were going to do something and then didnt do it, thats a bit different. But I think imposing on other people obligations or standards they arent aware of or too high expectations is not right, and then make them feel worse for not obligating you.

What do others think. Maybe the only 'shoulds' come from God Himself and perhaps He alone knows and can convict us when we can or cant do something and why.

We all have our own burdens to carry and its not to right to just dump all our burdens on someone else, then say they should have carried it for us. Some things we just cannot help with. And some things only God can give us the ability to do.
