Thought the title might catch your eye. Truth is, we're all children of the Devil. That's something that is stated so clearly in the Bible, in the book of John chapter 4 verse 44.
You may be thinking; "Oh, this girl is misinterpreting the Bible. She is wrong. False"
Go on, say what you want. But the truth is the truth. It's inevitable. And the truth is, the devil, can only feed of sin. He's the father of lies. The father of this earth. You see, we're all sinners. The minute Adam and Eve partook of that fruit and disobeyed God, sin entered their hearts, and they were immediately separated from God. From children of God, they became children of the Devil. Because you can only have one father. It's either God, or the Devil. And truthfully, we all had the same father; Satan. Yet, we never realized it.

Satan was cursed to feed on the dust of this world. Adam came from dust. Adam's flesh, I mean. And the flesh, is sin. It's the whole definition of sin. So, Satan could only feed on our sin. We were all dead in the flesh, and in the spirit. Some still are. But, that's the whole reason Jesus was sent; To bring life back to us. Not to bring religion. Not to bring works, and deeds. Or anything else as a matter of fact. He came to bring life. Because we are all dead, in the spirit. Yes, we're alive in the flesh, but inside, we're all dead. This is something so many people try to hide; the fact that they're dead.

I know so many of you will disagree with me. But, this is the Word of God. You just never saw it. Cain brought His works before God. (His fruits and crops). Abel brought Jesus before God (the lamb). God favoured Abel, because Abel acknowledged the fact that His works can't save him. Even before Jesus was brought into the world, you can see His role from the beginning of time itself. The Bible is literally a book about Jesus. The Bible is known as the Word of God. And so is Jesus. Just change the title, and you've got yourself a book all about Jesus. Now, you have to have that in mind whenever you read the Bible. Don't read it with a carnal mind. That's not what God wants you to do. Because a carnal mind can never comprehend what God is trying to say. For example Jonah and the whale;

Jonah represents us. The whale, is a fish. Fish speaks of faith; Jesus. Jonah entered the whale, and was there for three days before coming out. In the same manner, you have to enter Jesus, for three days; His death. Didn't Jesus die and resurrect three days later? Die to yourself, then resurrect with Him. He came to give life. His life. So in reality, all that Christ is becomes you. Because of Christ, you become sinless, righteous, just, perfect, holy and so much more. Not because of something you did. Go help the poor. Do it. But just keep this in your mind; Helping others isn't what saves you. Jesus is.

We all talk about Jesus dying for us. And we all go straight to the cross. Don't. Don't start during the middle of the race. Start from the beginning, then walk with Jesus. How can you walk with Christ, if you don't know where He's been? It's futile, and you'll just end up in the wrong place. Start at His baptism. Because that's where He took your sins. (I'll elaborate in that if you'd like). Then only can you die with Him and to your old self and resurrect into your new life.

I know that's not what I'm supposed to talk about, but I felt that that's something you needed to hear and know. Well, God did actually.

You're a child of the Devil. Why? Because of sin. But, you can become a child of God. How? Through Jesus. Don't just say you believe Him. Know Him, understand Him, trust Him, rely on Him, and have faith in Him. Because faith has no power on its own. But faith in Jesus however, has tremendous power. I'm not saying this to condemn you. I was in your exact shoes. And I rebuked the fact that I used to be a child of the Devil. But ignoring it, won't change anything. I was condemned, lost, weary, broken, hurt, and loads more. But only because of Jesus, I became a child of God. And now, I can finally call God my Father.

If you'd like to know more, just ask me. Don't resent me, or hate me, or even despise me. And even if you do, go ahead. I've heard it all. But this is something you should know. The truth may hurt. But it's better than a sweet lie. And please don't take any of this out of context. I hope the Lord speaks to you.

God bless.

Another 15 year old convinced they know more than people much older and more learned. Snore. Your constant arrogant attitude and condescending tone to everyone around you really makes everything you say a turn off. Soon as i saw it was you writing this i knew i wasn't interested.

I don't need your opinion. I'm sorry for sounding rude. It's not my intention, but apparently that's how it comes off. Honestly, I can't say that they're my words. It's all written in the Word of God. But people miss it, or ignore it. I may be 15. But that doesn't make me smarter than you, or anyone else. God works through anyone, and everyone. I thought you knew that. Just because you're older, it doesn't make you right either. Sometimes, we all just need to listen. I've listened to so many people. I've heard it all. You're not the first one. But, what I said, was the truth. And that, I'm confident of. If you don't believe me, then you don't believe the Word of God. It's simple as that.

And sorry if it comes off as me sounding rude. Again, not my intention.
God bless.

More evidence to my point. You are on a public forum. Posting where everyone is free to respond and give opinions. Its kind of the basis of the site. Yet apparently not for you.
You've misunderstood me. In the end, only God's opinion matters to me. Man will be man. But God, is God. And I put God first. I don't need to apologize for putting my Lord first. I'm not here to argue with you. Nor am I here to debate with you. In the end, the Word of God is all that matters.
"It's better to have faith in God than to trust man"

God bless.

Good post, Elizabeth. Some on cc will disagree with ANYTHING, but your post is not as controversial as you might think. There are many who know that all people are born incapable of doing any good. That is why we must be born again.

Writing essays on Christian topics is a great way to firm up what you believe as you share the truth with others. Keep it up!

This post has a clarity of focus (it makes one point and does not stray from that one point) that many fifteen year olds are not capable of.

You are right in thinking that there are many unbelievers here on cc. But try to remember that there are many believers as well. Your audience here on cc includes many who could teach you and I a thing or two. That is another reason why it is fun to post here.

Keep it up! I can see writing talent developing in your posts.

Thank you sir. But, it's the Lord that works through me. I'm just a messenger. And I thank the Lord for choosing me. And I know that there are many believers. But, not all know the whole truth. And the Lord knows that. I've basically heard it all. But, nothing the world says can lead me astray from Him. And that's something I will hold on to till the day He takes me back.

God bless.

Making multiple posts on a thread that doesn't interest you, Ugly? LOL

I can see ugly's point... She does carry a 'I am holier than you" tone in her posts... I am not saying her post's are incorrect... But they could be articulated a lot better... I know you are going to say but that is itching someones ear or what not... And if that thought comes across, I implore you to read proverbs... I think it will be of better help then the new testament too Elizabeth...

I am not holier than anyone. And I know it comes off as that. And I sincerely apologize. I'm not holy. The Lord is. But all that Christ is, I am. Not because of what I've done, but because of what He did for me. Again, I apologize if it comes off as if I'm better than you. I'm not. In the flesh, we're all the same. But it's Christ that's perfect. It's all about Him.

God bless.

Also Elizabeth, i think you are following into a bad religious trap... You are starting to think that the flesh is 100% bad, which is incorrect... "And the flesh, is sin."

You also say that Jesus took my sins during his baptism... Which is 100% incorrect... And I would love if you could elaborate so I can show you your flawed views in a more confined perspective...

I think it might help not to put words or emotions in the mouths and minds of your reader. You set up the tone of the responses with your initial post.

It's a lot like kids - if you treat kids as though they're already being punished for something you suspect they'll do, it'll often just encourage it. Maybe don't punish your audience until they've responded in a way that should be addressed.

The flesh isn't bad. It will always sin, but it can be used for God. It's just that the flesh will fade away, but the spirit is the one that remains.
And Jesus baptism is where He took our sins. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament coincide with each other, Meaning, each verse has a back-up. In the Old Testament, the sins of Israel were paid for through the sacrifice of an animal. A priest from the Aaronic priesthood would lay his hands on the animal, and the sins of Israel were passed onto the animal. Then, the animal was killed, and the sins of Israel were paid for for an entire year. But, the blood of an animal was only temporal. So, God sent His son. Jesus is known as the Lamb of God. That's because Jesus was our sacrificial offering. John the Baptist, the one who baptized Jesus comes from the lineage of the Aaronic priesthood. So, in fact, he was qualified to pass the sins of the entire world onto Jesus. Unlike the animal, Jesus wasn't killed immediately. Instead, He lived His life for three years, for us. Then, He died, and resurrected three days later. The only reason Christ died, was because He had our sin on Him. Because a sinless man, cannot die. "For the wages of sin is death.."
Jesus was sinless. But, because our sins were on Him, and He became our sin bearer, He had to. There was no other choice.

This is basically a short version of it all. There's a reason the Bible is written the way it is.

God bless.

I'm not punishing anyone. It's just a reminder. If we don't remind ourselves that we are sinners, then we'll fall back into the arms of the devil. I'm sorry for coming off like that. My apology may be worthless. But, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I never intended to hurt or ridicule anyone here. But the truth hurts. It hurts me too. But it has to be done. Again, I'm sorry.

God bless.

Okay.... First off Verse and quotes from the bible are evidence and not just your words....

Second off I think John 1:6-13 will show you John the Baptists purpose...

You also have to understand, Baptism is nothing but symbolic, even in the days of the OT it was symbolic... Jesus gave himself up, we did not pass our sins the way you explain... But more so Jesus took the cup of God's wrath on that cross... The sins were not passed on like you explain...

It does come off that way, though. If you sit a child down and tell him that you know he'll get into the cookie jar while you're gone, you're putting guilt on him for something that he has yet to do. Even if you're correct about what he will do!

So, perhaps while what you're writing has to be done, it can surely be done in a more helpful manner. For example, consider using the word "you" less often, because it will be an attack on every individual reader, even if they agree with what you're typing.

For example: "But, this is the Word of God. You just never saw it." The way you set it up, the only way a person could disagree with you is if he's never seen these sorts of teachings before. But is this really so unique? Is it really necessary to accuse anyone who disagrees with you of never having seen the Word of God?

I'm not here to argue with you. But if that's what you believe, then go ahead. I'm not stopping you. And I'm not going to push my faith onto yours. In the end, the only one right is God. Not you. Not me. I just used His word. Not mine. Not my own scriptures. It's evidence. It's all written in the Bible. And we all have our own interpretations of it. In the end, we can all be wrong. There is only one right interpretation; God's. That's really all I can say. But, God bless.

I say "you", not only referring to you. But, to me as well. I probably should have said we, and I apologize for not doing so. God bless.

If yours is the right interpretation then show me... provide scriptures... That is all I am asking... What I am asking is 100% biblical... In fact what you are doing is 100% unbiblical... Which is basically telling me that your way is the correct way but not allowing me to check it with the word of God...
