Something I was thinking about, it may not stop all but it will filter out a few.

When you first sign up you have an option to select

a. Christian
b. Not-Christian
c. Unsure

I think it would help a great deal if these members are only allowed to go into a room dedicated to non-christian believers say its called the "NotSoSure" or "Salvation" room.

Then I'm sure there are enough members here on CC, who would be more than happy to handle this room where atheists, and agnostics like to 'question' the truth, in this set up I think that these new members can be handled with more patience and love instead of them entering a room where every 2nd person wishes to give their own opinion. This way we wont have such controversial fall outs as we have so many times, and this also helps to isolate these members who are genuinely out to provoke fellow Christians here on CC, and eventually ban them should they not see reason or when it is evident they are malicious in their intent.

This would have fit better in the 'Suggestions' forum.

Such suggestions have been made before. But this is a Christian site. So creating a space for non-Christians defeats the purpose.
It also encourages debate, which would only lead to more work on the part of the mods.
And how would there be more patience? It would be the same people going in there, seeking to have the same discussions.

Then how about instead have a room for new believers and only allow christians in that room to help?

Well if its a christian site, why have a selection option to state if you're christian or not? Doesn't make much sense either. All I'm saying, you let an athiest or agnostic who's out to disprove our faith loose in a room containing Strong Christians and Baby Christians, and a lot of their arguments are strong enough to sow doubt among young ones.

Why not keep them contained in a room with more 'versed' believers who are strong in scripture, and their faith for that matter, but who also do not jump at each opportunity to counter-react an obvious attack by getting upset over it. People with a more patient outlook who stand true to the word.

Romans 12:14 "Bless those who persecute you, bless them do not curse them"

Romans 12:20 "To the contrary, 'if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.'"

This would have fit better in the 'Suggestions' forum.

Because non-Christians will still come to the site, and giving them the option of letting others know they are not a Christian is not the same as creating a room, which will only invite more non-believers, and therefore generate more problems. One just says 'i'm not Christian'. The other invites non-Christians to come to the site to debate and create more work for mods. I don't think that's a comparable set of circumstances. Its the same as this isn't a dating site, yet we still have single, married or separated as options. This is only there to give people a chance to express some aspect of themselves, not encourage certain behaviors or attract people with specific intentions.
Also, this runs the risk of people creating secondary accounts. All a non-Christian has to do, once he realizes he's restricted to one room, is create a new account, mark himself Christian, and go on his merry way, anywhere they want in the forums. So now, not only are we still going to have the same issues we have now, it also runs the risk of people creating multiple accounts, creating more work for mods once again.

And how is it to be determined which people are 'strong' enough to enter into this room? You're talking about a process of determining which users qualify, and which don't. This means mods having to make an assessment of which people should be allowed, thereby, again, creating more work for the mods. And once this is done, what kind of reaction do you think others will have when they realized they aren't deemed 'good enough' to go into this room?
Setting up a system for the unpaid staff, to have more work, and to judge the strength of a persons faith and the quality of their beliefs is a recipe for dissension. Then we will start seeing threads pop up about how unfair CC is, how mods show favoritism, how CC is playing God by judging a persons spirituality, because some people will be hurt or offended if they are not part of this elitist group of super spirituals.

Few month back I was upset by those who were seeking to promote their ministries and themselves...

That´a annoying sister! :(

I know. We could request that every non-believer mark their forehead or right hand. Only then can they gain admittance to CC. Oh, wait...

Is this the equivalent of throwing people out of church?

I know you don't mean any harm Tash, infact your intentions are to prevent fall outs which is good however, I can't imagine what sort of reputation CC would have if it was known to separate people based on their current stage in their faith journey, as much as I understand why you are suggesting this, I do see it as cruel. If you are on CC for 20 years and you save one, just one life you would have made the Lord well pleased so approach the beginners/atheists/agnostic whoever else with kindness and patience as hard as it may be, your reward in heaven will be worth much more than the temporary frustrations in the chat rooms.

As mature christians, we should know where to draw the line during a debate as well. Sometimes we are allowed to let it go and let God deal with it, or them for that matter.

Don't worry your wonderful self over this, until the Lord returns there will always be debates and new christians, non-christians, athetists and agnostics. You don't have to answer or engage in conversations you don't want to and if a more mature member in the faith does go on to address the controversy, you might learn a thing or two also. :)

Someone thought that a "visible" mark is placed on the forehead and the hand of non-believers... I have repared a couple of PCs, several persons, and recently I have fond out the "believing" contend of a pastor hovering seXXX sites (and more).

As far as Internet goes by, there are program scrutinizing what we do in the privacy of our houses, desktops and inside each of our mobile phones... Time will tell how secular or mundanes we certainly are, in spite of those unbelievers who believed more than I thought...
