Not long enough at all...the time limit should be lifted altogether I reckon, don't really see any need for it!
If you read through the thread you will see where two separate mods gave two separate explanations for why there is a limit.

Yes, I saw the reasons, however, (if my memory serves me right) there is a facility to compare the different versions of the post that have taken place at each edit, so that really covers the ability for all to see what has been written in it...

So, I fail to see the necessity for a time limit on the edit facility...

hello JB.this is only my opinon from what was said in the previous post.If

you were allowed to edit your

post past the time limit of 5 minutes;the people that had already posted

in your thread might come off

looking like a jerk,because you were allowed to change your thread after

they had already posted,so if

you were allowed to edit your thread and post then i think they should be

allowed to edit their post

also,and that would not be efficient or effective in time management for

the moderators.
