Is there somewhere on your profile where you can untick being alerted by email that there has been a response to a thread you have contributed to? Sometimes if you have written on a few threads and there has been alot of other responses it fills your email with alot of notifications.

Go to "Alerts" on your profile, then click on "Preferences". Check or uncheck the appropriate boxes, then click "Save" when you're finished.. :)

I don't understand. I went to my profile, then alerts, then preferences and unchecked the receiving emails and saved it but I am still receiving the emails. I went back into my profile to check whether the changes were saved and they are. What am I doing wrong

hey, i am after the same thing, but which ones specifically do i unclick ?
what i have done is unclick the email alerts at the top of the page, in my preferences, but what about the ones at the bottom of the page?

Nothing in the bottom says anything about email alerts.
