And Niki, spiritual immaturity shows up as concern over the trivial.
And you can consider that a rebuke FROM Jesus!

GROW UP INTO Jesus!
Stop complaining like your were a Hebrew in the Wilderness worried about what you feel, and you wounded pride!

Get over your selfish concerns and and mature into the woman Jesus intends you to be!
Thing about rebukes is, you have to have some history with the person you are rebuking or they don't have any reason to care about your rebuke.

If my pastor, my father, uncle Fred, my best friend Bryan, the piano player Trena at church - people I have known all my life and have proven they are worthy of respect - if one of them rebuked me, I would take it seriously.

If some random new person shows up out of the blue and rebukes me on an internet forum... Why would anybody care?

You tell Niki to grow up? Who in the frosty void are you? Why should she even care that you rebuked her?

I sort of like the x(s), they look like as Hebrew letter aleph. However, I've not yet received an 'angry' reaction nor one for bad spieling.
there! I did it!
I left an abc bad spelling reaction :p
am I going to get retaliated against with a red x?:LOL:

How dastardly clever of you... :cautious:

If I place a red x on your post expressing my disagreement, then I have affectively agreed with you...

annd have also been left wondering if I've used bad grammar! Aarrgh!!

Okay, and not to argue, but your original statement said that people should be allowed to express whatever their opinion is. In general, I agree. But, if someone has put someone on ignore, I think it's consistent to also be shielded from that person's non-verbal commentary. That's the point of "ignore".
But should everyone else be shielded from legitimate red x's posted against an erroneous one, due to the erroneous one's inability to cope with reality, or mission to encase his error in some sort of electronic echo chamber? The answer is clearly no.

X is a legitimate symbol for Disagree.. I believe in freedom of Speech.. And disagreeing with someone is a freedom one should protect if one wants the truth to come out..
Not to everyone. I've been here a while and I've had people harass me with the red x on whatever I posted wherever I posted. Most of those have been banned, haven't seen that in a while.

Haha I got one for spelling by someone who ran out of ammo. Long time ago but I told her this was a forum not an English class. I think she was banned later.

Whoa hos, I think that's a little too serious for what the OP said. That's a heavy rebuke for someone making a suggestion on a forum. Let's key down a little bit and relax it's not a spiritual matter, it's just a suggestion.

Lol I noticed the horns once I posted him and thought that was a nice touch. I think you're totally right, he does have that look.
