Nowhere. Father Son and Holy Ghost is not water as in H2O. It is the LIVING WATER of the Word of God.

That is the only Water that saves and the ONE baptism God talks about in Eph 4.

Amen freeNChrist... baptize them in the NAME ...ONE NAME.... not water! The one NAME is the living water, the Name is the Word of God ......

Look what the ONE NAME is of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.... Rev 19... Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

I don't know of any. If any reference was made, it was usually to be "in the name of Jesus Christ", or something like that.

The only thing we have is the last few verses of Matthew, which have been suspected to have been added by scribes..

I think you are missing it.... the baptism was most definitely in water, the question is, what was spoken when the baptism took place.

YEP and the water baptism did NOTHING... ACTS 8. They were all baptized in water but the SPIRIT FELL ON NONE OF THEM YET....

When the Spirit falls on a person is there water needed? NOPE! The ONE baptism God speaks of in Eph 4 is NOT WATER BAPTISM. Water baptism is milk for babies. Spirit Baptism is is Steak for Holy people.

Acts 8... Act 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Eph 4... There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
God HIMSELF is the living water. IN, ABOVE and THROUGH all. Filled and overflowed with GOD HIMSELF ... now That is a BAPTISM to undergo!

"In the name of" means in the authority of those named. And there are Three named there.

What hornetguy is pointing out, is that that particular verse may have been altered or added by a scribe for the express purpose of trinitarianism. It's not all that material, ((of course it matters if scripture is accurate, but this doesn't alter doctrine)) because we know God has revealed Himself to us in these three expressions.

& there is truth in what i think Kosie is pointing out too -- that the injunction is to make disciples, so that '
baptism' isn't just a rite that seals membership: that it is literally immersion into H[SUB]2[/SUB]O, yes, but only as a symbolic action, symbolic of literal immersion into the name of God, into the Lord, which is discipleship, and which is our salvation: that we be found in Christ.

'
Baptize' is an untranslated word that means immerse. Our redemption is to be immersed into Christ Himself and His cross, through the Spirit, giving us peace with and making us sons & daughters of the Father. It is not disconnected from discipleship, and the goal of discipleship is growing in the knowledge of God, which is that immersion into Him and His name.

So i don't believe that we should be worrying about getting the details of the ritual correct so much as getting the discipleship right - that immersion into the Living Water of Christ is far more important than the H[SUB]2[/SUB]O, so much so that without it the H[SUB]2[/SUB]O is wholly meaningless, but with it the H[SUB]2[/SUB]O itself is arguably not even necessary, though '
fitting to fulfill all righteousness' & never to be taught against.

I see no evidence in scripture that indicates this concept. The concept of being water baptized when accepting salvation is mentioned in nearly all "salvation stories" in the Word. There are a few that don't mention it, but we assume that it is included.

Otherwise, we have multiple "methods" of receiving salvation? I'm pretty sure that's not what God intended. If it's not important, why mention it at all? Why were thousands told at Pentecost to "repent, and be baptized" ? Why is the FIRST act that Paul did after recovering his sight baptism? Why did the Ethiopian eunuch want to be baptized as soon as they found water?

Your insistence that it is somehow a trivial, worthless act sounds more like you interpreting scripture to fit YOUR beliefs.

Sooo your saying that when Jesus himself was WATER BAPTIZED in the Jordan River himself he did'nt really mean the rest of us have to do this. Is that what you beleive?

Ok, let us turn to Acts Chapter 8 regarding Apostle Philip and The Ethiopian Eunich. Notice the Eunich asked Philip "I beleive That Jesus Christ is The Son of God, what hinders me to be baptized"? Then Philip TOOK HIM DOWN INTO THE WATER AND BAPTIZED HIM" Amen!!

So your stated Theroy on Water Baptism wo' nt fly in the face of 2 scriptures.

Where in The Bible was Anyone ever Water Bapized in "Father, Son, Holy Ghost"?

In the book of Acts Jews,Gentiles, and Samaritans, were all baptized in Jesus' name.

Everything we do in word or deed,is to be done in Jesus' name.

There is no other name under heaven whereby people are saved, but by the name Jesus.

Jesus is the name that is above all names, not only in this world, but in the world to come.

Jesus said when He resurrects to heaven, ask in His name, and the Father will do it.

At the name of Jesus all knees will bow,and all tongues confess, that He is Lord,to the glory of God the Father.

Why would we use Father,Son,and Holy Ghost, when those are titles, but we use the name Jesus, for that is the name we are saved by,for the angel told Mary, you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

A title does not hold as much weight as a name, which God said He placed His name in Jerusalem, and His house, not His title.

When I sign a check do I put father,or son,or human being,but I put my name there.

God's name represents the totally of His character as given to mankind to know,Jehovah, physical deliverance, and all the blessings that go with that, and Jesus, spiritual deliverance, and all the blessings that go with that.

Isa 52:5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
Isa 52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Joh 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

Joh 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

Joh 17:26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Jesus is the name of the Father.

Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The Son inherited the name from the Father.

Pro 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

The Jews knew the name Jehovah, and the Father said He would reveal a new name to them, what is His name, and what is His Son's name,if you can tell, which the Father and Son would share the same name.

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus is the name of the Father,Son,and Holy Ghost.

You have to be careful or you will end up being like the Jesus only group they're a cult group. Anyway water baptism does not save you. Its a sign that you are putting off the old man and being made a new creation in Christ Jesus when you get born again. Jesus is the only one who can save you. The correct way to baptize someone is in Matthew 12:28 this is what Jesus told his disciples before he went back to heaven. Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe and do all that I have commanded you. And lo I with you always even unto the end of the age. I don't have my bible with me so I'm trying to quote these scriptures the best I can. John 17:3 And this is eternal life that they may know you. The only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I was raised Pentecostal so receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and praying tongues is something I believe in and its in the Bible. I know that some non-Pentecostal denemonations are scared of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and they don't quite understand it. Let me assure you there's nothing to be afraid of. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you. God wants to you help you and that's why he sent the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost helps us to obey God's commandments and it empowers us to say no to sin and evil when Satan tries to tempt us to disobey God. Also the Holy Ghost will give you strength and power to do the work that God has called you to do. Everyone has a specific purpose that God has appointed for you to do. God called to the street ministry. I've been preparing for many years to do the work that God has called to do. I'm getting tired of waiting but I'm mature enough Christian to understand that God has a purpose for everything. So when God is ready to send me forth that's when I will go. Please pray for me because I desire to do great things for the Kingdom of God. It's not about me its about preaching the Word of God and seeing people delivered from the bondage of Satan. To God be the glory. Preacha24-7

All of that to get to that crazy conclusion? There are just way too many lone strangers making up their own little religions and then calling that Christianity.

This is Jesus last command for us as it is written in the gospel of Matthew. And the baptism is being dunked in water in the name of;
Matthew 28
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [SUP]20 [/SUP]and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Actually, even more than those two... Paul got up, went out and was baptized... that obviously was a water baptism.
All the ones that Philip baptized, that did not "receive the Holy Spirit"... were water baptized.
The whole household of Cornelius...

The list goes on.
