John 8:11

…“Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

When Jesus was on earth, a woman caught in the act of adultery was brought before Him by the scribes and Pharisees, the religious mafia of His day. They tried to trap Him by posing a question that was difficult to answer: “Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” (John 8:5)
Jesus answered, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” (John 8:7) The scribes and Pharisees began to leave one by one till none of them were left.
The people in the crowd who wanted to condemn the woman could not. But Jesus, the only one in the crowd who truly had the power to condemn her, would not. He then asked her, “Woman…Has no one condemned you?” (John 8:10)
He spoke such words of grace to her because He loved her. Also, by asking her the question, He was giving her a chance to speak words of no condemnation to herself—“No one [condemns me], Lord.” (John 8:11)
Jesus not only spoke words of grace to her, He also gave her the gift of no condemnation—“Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more”. It was when she received the gift of no condemnation that she had the power to “go and sin no more”.
Today, you have the gift of no condemnation because the Son of God was condemned for all your sins. (Romans 8:1) Today, God cannot condemn you when you sin because He is faithful and just to what His Son has done.
So if the devil tries to convince you that God is angry with you when you blow it, just say, “God does notcondemn me today because He has already condemned Jesus at the cross 2,000 years ago!”
Unfortunately, we still hear people saying, “Go and sin no more first, then I won’t condemn you.” Maybe you have been saying this to yourself too. But God says, “I don’t condemn you. Go and sin no more.” He gives you the gift of no condemnation, so that you have the strength to go and sin no more!
Thought For The Day

You have the gift of no condemnation because the Son of God was condemned for all your sins.

Yes, thank you, ladylynn, reading this passage often brings me to tears.
It's so beautiful and powerful, and I have tried to point out to ppl sometimes,
that it would appear Jesus had declared no condemnation upon her
before we read about any 'confession/repentence' on her part.

Not that she wasn't sorrowful...she may have been...
but we don't read about it here.
And it's not like Jesus said,
'You haven't sinned, so there's no condemnation',
He told her to go and sin no more,
as you said, After He said He doesn't condemn her.

It keeps with some beautiful verses in Romans...
...Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven,
and whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. (4:7-8)

And.....God commends His love toward us, in that,
while we were YET sinners, Christ died for us. (5:8)

But it still hurts when we, as brothers and sisters in Christ,
so often can't seem to find a way to extend peace,
forgiveness, and reconciliation, to each other,
and then walk forward together in joy and love with Jesus.

As I told someone recently,
Sometimes it's just a hug away.
God bless you, ladylynn.

Good day nu2see., I saw some of your posts around and saw in them a familiar sadness and regret and wanted to share encouragement with you. That God forgives and loves His sons and daughters even though they do stupid things. Even when those we love cannot forgive and keep loving us as we love them., God does love at all times. When we are at our best and when we are at our worst His love is consistently the same. We may change but He never changes.

And also to encourage you that Jesus not only forgives but restores us. He is the Good Shepherd Who gave His life for the sheep. Reading Psalm 23 is very helpful for the sheep. He restores our souls and leads us to rich green pastures. Not only in heaven but now while we are here on earth learning about Him and going through the process.

When I read about this woman who was going to be stoned I thought of the things she must have felt. They dragged her out before the people in the very act of adultery. (The man was no where to be found) and she was alone. Who knows what causes a person to get into this kind of sinful lifestyle but it must have a lot to do with not being loved and cared for. People like this go out and take what they can. They end up abused and used. Like that song looking for love in all the wrong places. But the believer has a Good Shepherd and is not left.

Jesus knew her and He loved her and saved not only her soul but her physical body from being stoned to death. He is so unlike the religious people who call for final judgment and condemnation. They wanted to see her put to shame and punished. Religious people who don't know the love of Jesus are fast to condemn others in the harshest way and even believe they are doing God's will.

And it's because they don't believe God loves people (or them) that much and would forgive sins of that magnitude. Jesus came and paid such a price. No sin is resistant to the blood of Christ. That woman knew how much she was forgiven AND Jesus also gave her the gift of no condemnation! So she was enabled to go live her live as a forgiven joyful redeemed woman.

Here is another page from the devotional I like to read each day. Hope you are encouraged. blessings.

A baby learns to sit first before he starts to stand and walk. The Christian life also begins with sitting. God “raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”. (Ephesians 2:6) How well we walk after that depends on how well we sit and rest in the finished work of Christ.
The promised land was a land of rest where God promised His people “large and beautiful cities which you did not build, houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant”. (Deuteronomy 6:10–11)
But for 40 years, God’s people wandered in the wilderness because they refused to believe that God had given them a land where everything had been prepared—the work was finished. They could not believe that God had given them a land full of good things to enjoy, a land which just flowed with His abundant supply.
Today, there are believers who still cannot believe that the work of Jesus is truly complete and finished. They are trying to complete a completed work, finish a finished work and defeat a defeated devil.
There are believers today who are always working and trying to produce their healing, success and victory. God wants us to stop trying and start trusting in His love for us. He wants us to stop working and struggling, and start resting and believing in His grace toward us.
The only “work” left for us to do today is to enter His rest. We are to labor every day to enter His rest. We are to rest inwardly and believe that the work is done because it is a finished work, and trust in God’s undeserved favor toward us. We are to rest in Jesus our true ark, who will carry us through tempestuous waters.
So today, “if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…be diligent to enter that rest”. (Hebrews 4:7, 11) Let’s enter His rest. Let’s enjoy sitting together with Christ in the heavenly places, then we will run and not be weary! (Isaiah 40:31)

Let's just use the Bible to explain the whole thing. The best place is to start form the beginning.

Gen 1:26-28 No where in that does God say mankind will have dominion over another person.
Gen 2:16-17, 20-23 All the instruction was given by God to the man not the woman, for she had not yet been manifested. The woman was made for the man and man was made first.
Gen 3:1-6 It was the woman who was deceived not the man
Gen 3:16 The woman would desire to rule over her husband or become the authority
Ehp 5:21-33 Submit one to another. Wives submit to your husband in all things and husbands love your wives as Jesus loves the church
Col 3:18-19 Wives submit to your own husband and husbands love you wife
1 cor 11:3, 8, 11-12 Man is the head (leader authority of woman ie. husband and wife) the woman was made for man, shows that neither man or woman have dominion over the other. The word dominion means supreme control
1 Peter 3:1-7 Wives be subject to your husbands and husbands treat your wives correctly or your prayers will be hindered.

According to scripture man and woman are not equal but have been given different roles in life. The man is to lead, protect, cover and love his wife with the same attitude as Jesus for the church or have hindered prayers. The woman is to be in subjection to her own husband not all men, teach the children and not try to take over as the leader of the family.
