Cain (perception of evil)= Why we have the law!

Abel (perception of good)=why mankind needed a Saviour Jesus!

Seth (Jesus's Linage and us made in the image of the Creator)=Why Jesus gave His life for us at the commandment of His Father!, Why those who believe and confess His name are saved!

Choose ye this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house we will serve Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus truly is Lord of all Heaven and Earth!

One thing that amazes me is that it is easy to believe one will continue to sin, but almost impossible for one to believe one cannot stop sinning. If that is the case, then surely, Satan has blinded many peoples minds and hearts.

If it is impossible, then what will does any man have? If one says they cannot stop sinning, then they are a testimony to themselves that they don't have control over their own actions and deeds, and if that is the case, then Satan is the one controlling them.

When the Holy Spirit is in control, he does not lead one to sin. Never. It is quite awkward to hear Christians who just can't stop sinning. But then I know Jesus doesn't sin, so these Christians shouldn't be going around talking about they are filled with the Holy Ghost, because then they call the Holy Ghost a sinner.

Slaves return to slavery, but free men walk in freedom.

May Jesus bless you.
:??? to disobey GOD is sin. if you do not obey God you sin. God requires you do good works but NOT to earn salvation but because that is part of love and obedience and repentance...

perhaps a study on the difference of Sinless and Blameless would be in order. we strive to be blameless for Jesus is our mediator, we will never be sinless but we can be held blameless for if we walk in the Spirit the Spirit will be our comforter and mediator. John the Baptist parents were said to be blameless and righteous walking in the ways of the Lord.

if we walk alone we will fail horribly.

do you know of all the sins you should ask for forgiveness for? of course not that is why Jesus will always be needed.

Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Ramon, you do still know that you keep your own spirit and not have it replaced with JESUS' HOLY SPIRIT, right?

you know of the concepts of imputed righteousness, remission of sins propiation of righteousness, etc?

can you ever be more perfect than Jesus?

and yet what did Jesus mean by this statement?

Matthew 19:17
So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

May grace and mercy abound.

our goal is not to be perfect and be JESUS but to perfectly OBEY Jesus. you do recognize the difference right?

i see Wesley's footprints......

why are you misleading Cobus (who you may not have noticed needs handling with care on this matter)

if you can't call it sin, and tell cobus that we will still sin at times as a believer, you ARE NOT HELPING HIM YOU ARE HURTING HIM.

better tell Cobus the truth. he's rather shakey, if you didn't know.

he needs TRUTH.

Cobus, John, the Apostle Jesus loved said if we (he included himself) say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves (we lie to ourselves, we can become deluded by this) and he said if we say we have no sin THE TRUTH IS NOT IN US.

keep that in mind Cobus.
John also says two chapters later that whoever (including himself) sins does not know Jesus. Sounds like a delima. Until you include repentance.

With much patience, as much as the Lord has given me, I have borne it. Now, let the Lord be my judge, and let him judge me, but the mess you have been putting in has been tolerated too long. It was for your sake, not for mine, nor for another's sake. But when I see this wickedness causing offense to others, and I have seen it, and the Lord is witness with me, there is a limit. Now, in front of everyone, let's call this into the open, so that no one can glory privately.

If the Lord will even permit you to speak in his name again, I am a liar. Yet, I pray he gives you room to repent, before that time. And let everyone here bear it as a witness then. I will bear the shame for it. Let me be a liar, and let God be true. It has been tolerated too long. We will see, as every eye will see, when every tongue will confess it.

If you continue in this way, let everyone witness it, you will not continue in it for long.

Indeed, the Lord is merciful, he knows all things, he bears all things. Perhaps he will grant you time to repent of it.

I will not mention this again either. Mark today as a witness.
um...ramon
do you plan to call down fire upon me?

you, young man, have been saved for one year.
again, i recommend you go learn properly how to handle Law & Gospel if you plan to preach.

you keep teaching false doctrine and claiming super status, i'll post if i so choose.

and do NOT threaten me again. you are not a prophet my dear.
but you can pretend if you want to.

I sense an antinomian...

It explains a lot. I can see why you like to provoke others and arguing.

Anyways, have a good evening.
nice try.
you're from Wesley's House (or maybe weirdo Finney's) where you super-status Romans 8ers NO LONGER SIN BUT MAKE MISTAKES.

YOU TOLD COBUS WE WILL MAKE MISTAKES, BUT CAN REPENT.

I CALLED YOU OUT ON YOUR PERFECTIONIST HERESY, by insisting that you call SIN WHAT IT IS.
not mistakes.

and you try to turn the tables on me.

i see your kind every day.

your dishonesty in this post alone is evidence enough you sin, and sin much.

this wasn't about repentence.

it was your Holiness softsoaping your sin by calling it mistakes, and to Cobus who needs to understand what the christian life is: conflict...NOT SINLESS PERFECTION.

but you can't even say the word...for you it is mistakes.

nobody goes to hell for mistakes buddy.

get real

Ramons getting finished off pretty quickly in his threads now.

He wont even talk to anyone who opposes his false doctrine.

He will just go off and start 5 more threads tomorrow.

This just makes me suspicious that he was sent here for a specific purpose. To spread false doctrine.
Hey Strangelove, are you really sinning so much right now, that you don't want to stop, but you want to go to heaven?

So telling people don't sin, because if you sin you will not enter heaven is a false dotrine...

Sin is death, spiritual death...... How can a dead Spirit enter Heaven..... God is not a God of death, but a God of the living

no kidding.
such a light handling of sin, and a low bar of God's Law.

its amazing how many people actually believe they are sinless.

check this thread out:

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/27583-heresy-perfectionism.html

Sproul makes some very astute observations about the condition one must be in to believe they have reached sinlessness....good article.

Paul was talking about the unity of a church, not about someone's spiritual walk.

Ummmm I don't know which translation you're using for that....it looks like you got the beginning wrong.

18
We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

Paul was talking about Christian conduct.

Christian Conduct

12 But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, 13 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another. 14 We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. 16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit; 20 do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil. 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

What does it exactly mean to be born of God? I really honestly don't know what he means....some one tell me...anyone? Any takers?

Mt paygrade is too low for that feat:rolleyes:

sorry out of content but it popped into my head lol

John 3 explains nicely what it means to be born of God, its the Born again concept..

also these verses

1 Peter 1:22-24
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Enduring Word

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit[a] in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because

“ All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man[c] as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
