I'm not sure about pets but I'm sure there will be animals there as well... Because in the garden of Eden there were animals as well. When you read about the garden of Eden, that's a picture of how heaven will be (before they sinned). Somewhere in Isaiah I believe it says that "the former things we will remember no more" once we are in the Millennium/eternal Kingdom of God. So, whether your pets will be there or not, you'll probably won't be even able to remember your life here on earth. Who knows everyone in heaven will have lots of pets and I'm not talking about just cats and dogs; who knows we'll have a lion or a cheetah or a dinosaur in our houses, after all, there will be no more sin and these creatures will no more be bloodthirsty and will have the same character as sheep the way we know them here on earth. I hope this helps. No matter what, it will be great out there!
LOL Dream on :) ...........

The new heavens and new earth will house spiritual beings.

such a godly response. Jesus Christ must be proud of you :)
Jesus approves of His followers rebuking people like you. You're a snake; a wolf in sheep's clothing who loves sowing discord in a disrespectful, godless manner, and yet you can't handle the same thing coming your way. Lol. Post 61 is a great example of your disrespect.

Jas_3:18 When peacemakers plant seeds of peace, they will harvest justice.

Are we peacemakers or peacekeepers?

So you don't believe Jesus Christ rose, bodily from the Grave?

Was it the Scribes that didn't believe in a bodily resurrection?

Exactly. If Christ didn't have a physical resurrection, His body would still be in the grave.

I'm sorry, Mr. Assumption, did you say something? I've been spending quality time with Jesus while you've obviously been enjoying the rumbles of your peristaltic rush activity.

My pastor recently did I series of sermons on Heaven, and one entire sermon was about how there will not be animals or pets in Heaven. ...
I'm just wondering what any of you think about this topic, and what passages give you those views.
I guess it depends if the animal is christian or not, protestant or not..

If the animal is catholic there is still hope but ...

Most critical, was the animal saved? If so then direction Heavens because once saved always saved...,

LOL

The Eternal New Earth (as mentioned in Revelation) is the saint's final destination.

I think there will be animals in the new Earth. Maybe not pets, but certainly, the Bible says the lion will lie down with the lamb, and the leopard with the baby goat, so there have to be animals. (Isa. 11:6)
Amen to that! I absolutely love imagining that. Which btw; since that is the case perhaps the animal kingdom will go back to being herbivores as before the fall since they will be lying next to each other and not eating each other.

No sin in heaven, therefore the very concept of "what can I do now" will be gone. At that time there is only one thing to do -- love God completely with all of our new-body being. And that we'll do perfectly. So, I strongly suspect we'll be worshiping God forever, not hanging out with the new toys. lol
I dont see any reason why we need to box God in. It certainly is not sin when it comes to this subject . There are some things that we simply do not know. Didnt God say his ways are higher than ours? Didnt God say that his thoughts are higher than ours?
Eternity with God will be far more than any of us can imagine. Why wouldnt God allow us play time? We are his kids arent we?

God is the creator and he needs ceases to create. Ever! He is still expanding the galaxies and he is still creating new little species of critters. I suspect he is creating all kinds of other things as well. It certainly doesnt hurt anything to ponder .

God is amazing for a lack of a better word! We dont even have a word for the magnificence of our Father. My heart gets even more mushy than it already is, longing for my Father, when I imagine my new home with my Father. I simply cannot wait to see all God has in store for us. I think we will all be blown away!

Nothing stated about the fate of animals in Psalm 49.

Psalm 49 clarifies the matter quite nicely.

It states that both animals and humanity perish - but ONLY humanity, with understanding of God, can be redeemed.

Since animals have no understanding of God, then they cannot possibly have redemption, and they are forever in the grave as their final resting place.

Simple Biblical Truth...

Pffft! Exit 9! Whose team are you rooting for now? The good ball games are closer to Exit 4 (and in previous years, not this year. lol)

(For those who don't get this, I'm bringing up a New York/Philly rivalry that lands in New Jersey's lap. Exit references are to the NJ Turnpike. Granted, less rivalry to use when Philly teams all stink now, but the heart can't adjust to that yet. lol)
