Titus 1:6-9, 1 Timothy 2:12,13

If those verses are shown to be about marriage, would you change your mind about women preachers?

What if YOU are the cherry picker?
i ended up settling in the

no to 1 on 1 teaching or deep docturine study over a man

and preaching is different than teaching

pretty sure God would love any of his children just preaching his word

(coming from a guy who agrees with original sense in "church" not modern)

What is the difference between preaching and teaching?

I would be wary of any one on one teaching between a man and woman that isn't married because it can lead to temptation or unhealthy emotional attachment on one of their part. Especially if there isn't a big age difference.

There is a good reason God tells us in scripture that older men teach younger men and older women teach younger women how to live godly lives. Some things the opposite sex don't understand...example of things men can't really teach a woman: giving birth, menopause, periods, etc.

The church is meant to be a body and should have mature men and women in the body of Christ.

2Tm 1:11
"...for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher..."
"...εἰς ὃ ἐτέθην ἐγὼ κήρυξ καὶ ἀπόστολος καὶ διδάσκαλος..."

Preacher:
κήρυξ (from 2784 /kērýssō, "to herald, proclaim") – properly, a herald, a "town-crier" proclaiming critical news for the public (see also 1557 /ekdíkēsis, "the town-gathering"); a preacher (a herald-communicator).

Teacher:
διδάσκαλος (a masculine noun derived from 1321 /didáskō, "to teach") – a teacher, an instructor acknowledged for their mastery in their field of learning; in Scripture, a Bible teacher, competent in theology.

So, preacher is publicly proclaiming basic truths and teacher will explain you privately more

Not only is the church comprised of many bodies as shown in Corinthians, the entire congregation is a royal priesthood as shown in 1 Peter 2:9.

I agree with this and believe when we study with fellow believers we are to be in prayer and allow God to correct us.

Some groups I have been apart of rotate leadership responsibility and I guess as Lynn said the role of leader is more to facilitate conversation and reveal what God has shown each person about the Bible passages more than "teach" as traditionally used (when you accept what another says without question).

Would you consider such groups "teaching"?

Because people do learn from those settings.just as people learn from preaching.

sounds more like inquisitive fellowship

and a lot of fun

doesnt sound at all like a bad thing

and more brothers and sisters should do stuff like this

put the final authority on the bible

if our understandings are different

we can pray on it bring it back later

"In the last days it shall be,' says God,*that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;*your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,*your young men shall see visions,*and your old men shall dream dreams. Even on My menservants and maidservants*I will pour out My Spirit in those days;*and they shall prophesy" (Acts 2:17-18).

First thank you for spurring me to learn more scripture!
You might like to read about the life of Deborah.; Also I suggest reading for yourself any scriptural reference there!

Women played many rolls to help the early church. If you notice Jesus was often housed and fed by women. But even in the old testament day there was this woman: Rahab

who ended up being in the direct lineage of David therefore Christ.

The books of Esther and Ruth would also be helpful in helping you to determine if a pursuit is biblical or not.
Remember to pray, pray, pray for guidance and understanding throughout this process and to listen for that still small voice and obey Him. God bless you.

God would of had to use women to teach men His truth, for all saints are instructed to preach the Gospel of Christ,so a woman has to teach some men the Gospel that do not know, and if that is the case she can teach other things as well concerning the Bible.

If she is on the street or at home, she can teach whoever she wants to teach, for if they need teaching she would be qualified.

I do not think that if she is on the street, and reaches out to a man concerning the Gospel,or anything else of the Bible, that she should whip out her phone, say to the man, could you hold on for about 30 minutes, and then call a man and say,get down here for I got a good candidate for you to preach to,and I will try to detain him as best I can shy of physical restraint, and don't be stopping at Arby's on the way here, but on second thought if you do pick me up a large roast beef and cheese, never mind, pass on that and get down here.

No,she should commence to preaching.

since our union, Jesus has taught both my husband and myself in in-numerable ways
how that we may deny-self and serve/teach each other...even until this very day,
(after about '40' years, -
I still find loose ends to tie/bind-up in order to be a more un-selfish, kinder, thoughtful, generous, wife,
as he is such an example to me, as a son of God' and as a husband' to me,
and as a true friend' to others..

just a share on a woman's part...my husband has always been an exceptional horse-trainer -
and so when we 'teamed-up', I saw a flaw in his technique, and it was small but very, very important
in order to gain a horse's trust - he humbled himself to my advice, 'which The Lord had shown me', and our
love and devotion took on a great leap in where we are today...yeah, there's scores more,

New Testament evangelist Phillips had four teen aged daughters who prophesied: Acts 21:9.
