No, 1 Timothy Chapter 2 verse 12 , 13 and 14.

Qualifications for modern day Church leadership, 1 Timothy entire 3rd chapter.

Jesus did not select any Women as Apostles, the Apostles (with the exception of Judas) were Church leaders the modern Church.

A Woman also does not have leadership authority within the Christian home if she has a Husband.

We live in a day and age when certain Women will desire positions of leadership over their husbands within the home and over men within the church.

As for me I will never attend a church with Women in leadership positions, nor will I tolerate female leadership over me in my home. That's just my personal view, I realize we live in a "do your'e own thing" world and people will feel differently.
and there ya have it.

Can Christian Women Be Pastors and Preachers?

Absolutely not! because..

1 Timothy 2:12
I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

1 Corinthians 14: 34-35
Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission,
as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home;
for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

If a woman has an husband, she should prefer to support her husband with prayers and anything else.. A woman should NEVER take authority over her husband, be it spiritually or in any form.. But what if she has no Husband?.. Is she allowed to speak?

I can't give any answer to that. But i believe women have something to say... And it will do a lot of good for them if they are at least given the PERMISSION to say it once in a while.. OR???

No she is not allowed whether married or not it does not change anything. Paul was trying to teach order in the church which he did not spoke out of his own authority but of God's and is still valid today.

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness.

I DON'T THK SO. ITS WRITTEN IN NE OF THE LETTERS OF THE APOSTLES THAT WOMEN ARE EXPECTED NOT TO SPEAK IN THE CONGREGATION BUT SHOULD ASK THEIR HUSBANDS MATTERS BOTHERING THEM.

It's fabulous that some thought is shared. Was this verse to be taken in the context of Paul's advice to gaining cordiality in church? It makes sense...especially when compared to the rest of the bible's examples of women having more than just a sit-beside-the-man role in church. God is love.

I look forward to chatting sometime in my morning light hours. I finally got registered. Hooray! Goodnight everyone and just remember to perhaps ask, "Just who exactly am I submitting to, through my husband?/wife?/friend/etc?" The scriptures wil bloom I believe for those who desire the love it promises ALL BELIEVERS, and not just those who want to declare it a law of separation between us. Goodnight from NZ. It's good to be on for the first time!

1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1Ti 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

1Co 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1Co 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

It seems pretty obvious to me that the answer is NO.....women should not. To come to any other conclusion is to be kidding yourself imo.

Really?.....Leave it to a man to say such a thing. LOL, just kidding.

There is much more here than meets the natural eye.
Notice vs. 24....Therefore, ....as the Church is subject unto Christ,......
What if the woman is not married?

What about this:
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Women speaks of something much more than just Gender.
Study women in the whole of scripture, then see if you see it
the same way.

Every person has a male, female part to them, But in Christ
they are one, and not separate anymore.

Blessings

You are right, there is neither male or female in Christ but that doesn't mean men and women dont have distinct roles. There is a paradigm that God has set up in the church and men and women have different roles in it.

I think the bible has been clear all along on the subject.
And to honor God each woman needs to be honest.

After having a read through this thread I was quite surprised to find so many male chauvinists on CC!

Ofcourse females can fulfill any off the ministries in Rom 12v3-8, 1Cor 12v28, Eph 4v11-16 (with 1Cor 12v11, 14v26, Gal 3v28)

Sisters, do not let hard hearted men, who are out of the Spirit, quash the ministry that the Head of the Body, the Lord Jesus has given to you!

So God is a male chauvinist? I just simply state what the word says without allowing personal feelings to get in the way. Honestly, the thought of women preaching doesnt bother me the least bit, but I'm not God and what I feel doesnt supersede what God says. Too often we let personal feelings get in the way of what scripture actually says.

None of the scriptures you quoted proves to me that women can preach in the church. People try to strain at the scriptures and find a clause or some loophole to make something agree with what they personally feel. To me it is beyond obvious that the word of God prohibits women from preaching in the church and I choose not to play mental gymnastics to try and get it to say something else or dance around what it clearly says.

1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

I dont see how it can be anymore plain?

God certainly isn't a male chauvinist but you seem to be!

1Cor 14v26 (this Scripture is to BOTH men and women), "... Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification."

It is a pity that you rip a couple of Scriptures out of their context (the context of the ones you have cited are in domestic affairs (in the home) and not about women ministering to the Body of Chrst (as the Scriptures show is the case)) and fail to mention other Scriptures that refer to women ministering to the Body of Christ...1Cor 11v5 (woman praying and prophesying) etc, etc...you simply cherry pick Scriptures to fit the lie that woman can't minister in the Church!

Yahweh Shalom
