Like Dr. John MacArthur has said on several occasions, "A Christian is not sinless, but as he or she matures spiritually, they will sin less, and less, and less." I my opinion, anyone who THINKS he or she quit sinning, has a WHOLE LOT MORE TO LEARN ABOUT WHAT GOD CALLS SIN.

Here is the verse that SUNK my ship of pride, when I started to think that I no longer sinned:

Romans 14:23 (NIV)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith;
and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
Boy talk about taking single verse out of Context.

Gen 3
Gen 4
James 1
1 John 2

These show us sin is not an action but a choice.

MacArthur delights in preaching SIN consciousness like many Calvinists do. He is also a strong believer in and promotes Lordship salvation, which is a form of works based salvation. He strongly denounces Free Grace Salvation/Theology and is completely against the ministry of the Holy Spirit for today.

MacArthur will give account as we all will one day.

No, but there are still a few fringe area Churches that Teach that a real Christian quits sinning and never sins again. They are like modern day Pharisees who think they keep GOD's laws perfectly. I have debated a couple of them here on Christian-Chat.com in the past.
We never stated that, you did.

You cannot be saved and be a sinner.

Dear reader. I have been a christian 30+ years. I started by asking God for wisdom, knowing there was a power and understanding in Jesus that spoke to my heart, but I did not know where or why it spoke to me. One word changed my life, love. At each level of my experience, still there was another layer, a deeper realisation of what that word meant.

I lead a house group on love above spiritual gifts, that the core mission of the church was to heal the heart, to make whole the soul and spirit of a person. I knew of people who believed in regression therapy but that just destroyed them. I knew that opening up old wounds often made them deeper. I began to realise we are an emotional history, with learnt reactions to things that we actually use everyday, which adjust depending on experience. We sow and build this framework and it defines us. If the Lord is to mean anything, he has to address this in our hearts. Rather than open old wounds, he makes new strengths, he puts in understanding and healing, so there is not a wound but a strong place to walk, we are remade.

I wondered at the cross, the cross being lifted up, as the golden snake that brought healing to all who saw it. Could it be that the actual realisation of God made man dying for us, remade us daily within, empowered us, as an intellectual and emotional experience, not just super spiritual experience in the spirit. Now it is not possible to see this truly without the Holy Spirit, but what if the lie is to make it too religious and not personal enough. Look around your life, and ask, who do you really know, love or care about? My experience of humans is we are so defensive, and so volatile, we almost trust no one. Jesus goes beyond this, saying at His core, at the very being of God, He loves us, and is willing to do the impossible.

Does Jesus reduce you to tears? Do you sing "I live to serve you each day." "You are my sunshine."

This is the spring of living water in us, the unstoppable flow, the reason why the apostles were happy to go to their deaths praising the Lord, because he literally transcends us at all levels.

Now the reason why someone says "confused mess" because the Lord has not spoken to them at this level.

St francis prayer Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace has spoken to people for hundreds of years.

But for these guys this is not christianity. At this point we should walk away. I am talking a different language, yet I know exactly what they are saying. Mysticism does not ask what you are doing, just obedience because it is Gods work. But God is a God of order and real teaching, and confirmation of what has gone before. He does not make something new, but expands on all His previous revelation.

The Old covenant is a foreshadow of the new, it is not a change. You can find the heart of God, His love, His redemption in seeing the actual embodiment of the cross, before the cross, else Abraham, Enoch, Melkizidek could not have known God.

As I thought all those years ago, we are very lost and we want so badly to arrive, we will invent our own arrival, or reality.
And yes there is a failure in teaching, but mainly in this modern society a failure of emotional honesty and truth, because we are so terribly wealthy, we can run away from all the difficult issues.

Someone in a bretheren church said of the charismatic group, they say the same words as us, yet claim they are so different. The difference was the pure excitement at the word of God, but what it lead to was a split, and a group who did not last, but fizzled out, rather than renewed the whole. So which is it? Maybe both, but that is the task the Lord puts towards us, to let the Spirit give life to what is already there.

Now I have an agenda, like these NAR guys. The agenda is to speak to what we are, and to empower us to change through the cross, and letting love speak to who we are. This is the ministry of the Holy Spirit but it is not mysticism or some, woooo that felt good, I am soooo drunk, collapse on the floor, it is plain, I stand in front of you and say honestly I love you, without hesitation. That is the reality Jesus preached us to become, real, simple, open, honest, righteous people.
But do you believe it is possible or put it another way, do you believe Jesus?
I said it was a confused mess because it is, but with this post, you make more sense.

I don't think a brethren brother or sister can say anything about a charismatic believer with any real understanding, though, IMHO. I do love the brethren people, though!

Now, I have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, and He is Lord of my life. Holy Spirit is my guide through the word and He inspires me and empowers me to live and do and create for the glory of God. Being a "King's kid" is the most exciting and rewarding way of living! Intimacy with the Father is a part of my daily life.

Now, about this thread. There is a definitive tearing down and a sour disposition to it. We need to cease with the raking people over the coals. As for Creflo Dollar and his preaching about money to his congregation, first of all, he has a right to speak to those who are members of his congregation. We are mere eavesdroppers and don't know all the ins and outs of his ministries and how they are run. Second, the teaching about sowing seed is nothing new, but we cannot forget that his ministries spend money to minister to people around the world and in the USA. It's expensive to run a large ministry. Where God leads, He makes sure there are funds to get there. If you aren't a member of his local body, then don't give. He's not talking to us.

Blessings to you, Peter.

checklist of a cult: Creflo Dollar

‪☑️ The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law.
‪☑️ Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
‪☑️ Mind-altering practices (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, and debilitating work routines) are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).
‪☑️ The leadership dictates, sometimes in great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date, change jobs, marry—or leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).
‪☑️ The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avatar—or the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).
‪☑️ The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.
‪☑️ The leader is not accountable to any authorities (unlike, for example, teachers, military commanders or ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream religious denominations).
‪☑️ The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).
‪ The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt iin order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.
‪☑️ Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.
‪☑️ The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.
‪☑️ The group is preoccupied with making money.
‪☑️ Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities.
‪☑️ Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members.
‪ The most loyal members (the “true believers”) feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave (or even consider leaving) the group.

We never stated that, you did.

You cannot be saved and be a sinner.
So none of the Apostles were saved? As Jesus Himself said, 'If you then BEING EVIL --' Jesus was under no illusion about the sinfulness even of His closest followers.

The only people who ARE being saved (1 Cor 1.18) are sinners. The righteous (who in reality do not exist) need no saving.

What other kind of salvation is there than LORDSHIP salvation? If we would be saved we must commit ourselves for salvation to the LORD Jesus Christ. But that salvation is all of free grace.

I am not of course familiar with your American jargon.

Joyce Meyer is right on the money! Anyone who has received Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord has been changed and is now a new creature and the word says he cannot sin. What does that mean, eh? It means that our spirit man is reborn and alive and God lives there and it is our spirits that are born again, made new, and become holy, pure and cannot sin. We have a whole new paradigm and a whole new identity! Sinner is gone. Saint is here!

If you want to agree with Satan and call yourself a sinner, have at it. I will agree with God. As a saint I am not condemned.

No sinner there!

Thank you Lord, for giving me worth and letting me see I have purpose.

CORRECTION, Having no sin that you will be held accountable for because of the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST, DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE NOT A SINNER. It only means you are a SINNER SAVED BY GRACE like the rest of born again Christians.

Romans 7:18-25 (NASB)

[SUP]20 [/SUP] But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
[SUP]21 [/SUP] I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,

[SUP]24 [/SUP] Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
[SUP]25 [/SUP] Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

It's a full time job for me to live my own Christian life. I have always wondered why some people make it their life's work to follow other people's Christian walk with Jesus and appoint themselves mini holy spirits. There are tons of sites that only exist for the sole purpose to seek out and find others who disagree with what they say the Bible teaches.
They then "label" and "denounce" their sentence upon who they find and begin a smear campaign to spread their findings to all who follow their broad castings.

They make lists of people who may fit into their criteria of who's who in the heretic world and then find unity among themselves in the process. There is some kind of happiness in this type of unity for some.

Judging others is a very easy thing to do. As human beings we have a natural inclination to find fault with others. It's what we do! It's in our DNA. As born again Christians its our responsibility to look to Jesus and by the renewing of our minds learn not to judge people's hearts and to allow the Holy Spirit to do the convicting and the leading. It has been my observation that He needs no help in this job. He does it 100% well. Judging hearts is something God has not equipped us to do. If someone speaks in tongues and believes in miracles and you don't, it's not your place to denounce them as a liar and heretic. If someone uses the money God has blessed them with to begin a ministry and does things with the funds that you don't agree with, it's not your job to denounce them as a liar and heretic. Just because one person would not see the need to buy an item, does not mean the other person has no reason or right to buy it. It seems pretty simple to me.

Again, I heard this story about how a Christian started his ministry with the Lord. It began as a small and tiny seed planted. No one saw it go into the ground. No one was there when it was patiently tended and cared for year after year. The sacrifices made and the work of tilling and weeding. No one saw the tiny leaves sprouting up and how it was tenderly prayed for and nurtured. But when this small plant grew larger and larger and began to yeald lots of fruit and pour out a hundred fold from what it once was, everyone saw it then, it was no longer tiny - obscure and needy.

The tiny plant grew and began to yeald a hundred fold of what it once was and grew more and more as the Lord saw fit. And many were blessed and added to the number but many others also found fault with how the laborers were caring for the once obscure plant that was made to yeald it's fruit and shade for others. And they made it their job to tear it down and make it go away.

I can surely understand the unsaved world doing that to a Christian work since they are doing what the enemy wants, stop the Gospel from being broadcast around the world. But I do not understand how fellow Christians can do it and see nothing wrong with tearing down another believer's labors for the Lord. I believe this is of the many issues the Bible speaks about even the very elect will be deceived in the last days.

READ MY LAST POST.

1 Corinthians 15:52-54 (ASV)

[SUP]54 [/SUP] But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
This has nothing to do with the SIN nature and everything to do with our physical body.

Romans 6.1-14 tells us what happened to our sin nature.

6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? [SUP]2 [/SUP]By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? [SUP]5 [/SUP]For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. [SUP]6 [/SUP]For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[SUP][a][/SUP] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— [SUP]7 [/SUP]because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. [SUP]10 [/SUP]The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. [SUP]10 [/SUP]The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

The sin nature will be there until our bodies have been CHANGED by Him into a body that cannot even Think SIN.

Do you know anything about the GREEK fourth primary verb tense called the perfect tense, that DOES NOT IMPLY PERFECTION, but rather the ONGOING lifestyle direction of striving to do that verb?

KEEP, in the following verse is in that ONGOING lifestyle direction of striving to KEEP:

1 John 2:3-4 (ASV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[SUP]4 [/SUP] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

THAT VERB TENSE, that we do not have in English, is the source of your confusion. NO WAY does that verse say we are perfect at keeping, but rather that we are those whose lifestyle characteristics are marked by our continuous striving to KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS OUT OF LOVE. WE are NOT perfect, but we are those who PRACTICE Righteousness, and as we PRACTICE we do get better at it, but we will not have become sinless until HE CHANGES OUR BODIES.

1 Corinthians 15:53 (ASV)
[SUP]53 [/SUP] For this corruptible {sinful body} must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

WHEN?

1 Corinthians 15:52 (ASV)
[SUP]52 [/SUP] in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Psalm 106:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] How blessed are those who keep justice, Who practice righteousness at all times!

1 John 3:10 (ESV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

NO, you are still a sinner, even though you have been saved by grace. Time to humble yourself and study more about what GOD considers SIN. You are not better than the worst sinner on DEATH ROW, you are as BAD AS HIM; because both of you and all the rest of us, have broken ALL OF GOD'S LAWS.

James 2:10 (NIV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

Tell me truthfully, how much of your life, your words, your thoughts, your attitudes, your hobbies, your possessions, your anger, your entertainment, your work, etc., personally is NOT OF FAITH:

Romans 14:23 (NIV)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith;
and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Salvation is instantaneous the very moment we FIRST BELIEVE in our Human Spirit.

SANCTIFICATION of the body is an ongoing struggle our whole lives to become more and more like CHRIST.

Philippians 3:12-14 (NIV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
[SUP]14 [/SUP] I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Anyone teaching you CONTRARY to that TRUTH, is teaching you a lie. Many false prophets and prophetesses have come into the world, teaching deceiving messages. Please return to the teachings of Paul and the other Disciples.

In God's eyes, I am no longer a sinner but He sees me and all His children as perfected already, and He sees us as He has created us to be already, because when He looks at us, He can only see Jesus. His blood has washed us clean. No stain. He calls us saints and not sinners, praise God.
If the teachings of Joyce Meyers contradicts what the Bible actually says; which will you believe?

You overlooked some verses:

Philippians 3:12-14 (NIV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect,
but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Luke 7:34 (ESV)

[SUP]34 [/SUP] The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

Luke 5:30-32 (NIV)
[SUP]30 [/SUP] But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
[SUP]31 [/SUP] Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
[SUP]32 [/SUP] I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

I've overlooked NOTHING. Joyce Meyer upholds all the word. God's word is truth, and Joyce believes that as well.

I got my answer.

1 Timothy 2:7-12 (NKJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle--I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;
[SUP]9 [/SUP] in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing,
[SUP]10 [/SUP] but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] Let a woman learn in silence with all submission.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.

1 Corinthians 14:33-34 (NKJV)
[SUP]33 [/SUP] For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
[SUP]34 [/SUP] Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.

1 Timothy 3:1-5 (NKJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop {PASTOR}, he desires a good work.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] A bishop {PASTOR} then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;
[SUP]3 [/SUP] not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;
[SUP]4 [/SUP] one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence
[SUP]5 [/SUP] (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);

So how is it you expect GOD to bless such willful disobedience with the ability to teach the TRUTH?
