Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--
and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
Ephesians 2:8

It is interesting how Scriptures fit together, the details adding up to a bigger picture that contributes a fuller measure to what we believe. It is thought provoking for me to ponder the fact that as far as I was concerned, I did not really believe that the Biblical God existed when I called upon Him in desperation to relieve me of the emotional pain I was in due to circumstances in my life. And yet I had been brought up to believe, and knew there was something, even though I had rejected the teachings of my youth while still young. I often characterize it as running from Him in rebellion and defiance, though of course I did not see it that way, then. Back then I was breaking free of the chains that bound me, throwing off antiquated traditions, being open minded, venturing into the great unknown, and being caught up in the exciting cultural movements of my time. Oy. Where is that face palm? I eventually discovered that the freedom I had sought was a snare that only the God I was running from could free me of. Life can be funny like that :) Thank you God, for all Your wonderful gifts!

why keep on going if I have it?
Better than brownies with raspberries!

(Sorry, didn't see your question until the last response, so too funny to pass by.)

No. Real answer this time. You HAVE salvation. Done once. Worked for all the whosoever will believes. What you might be confusing it with is sanctification. Sanctification is the walking out of God's gift of salvation, redemption, and adoption. This is the part where we do with God, until he glorifies us and it all becomes like he intended us to be. Don't confuse this walk we're having with God as God still working to save us. He saved -- past tense. Now this is what we're saved for -- walking with God.

God doesn't adopt people who have faith. He adopts and then gifts the faith.
No, He adopts us based on our faith, he does not force us to have faith. he gives it to people who want it.

Yeah which is why I dont believe in this ''I am going to go to heaven 100%'' thing because that opens the door to satan and Jesus made clear that he will have to tell people ''I do not know you''
Besides I know very much what is from God and what is not. This legalistic view of '' Once saved always saved'' is one of those things from Satan aswell.
Pssst, Satan already lost.

Granted -- Satan is stronger than us. BUT our big brother is stronger than him, and already clocked him. Have some faith in big bro. Big Bro told us how this turned out. Keep an eye out on him, not Satan.

Ok, Depleted, here is some verses for you to ponder on.

John 5:24
[SUP]24 [/SUP]“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Here's another one Depleted.

Ephesians 1:3-5
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, [SUP]4 [/SUP]just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love [SUP]5 [/SUP]He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will

All who believes in God HAS ETERNAL LIFE. Jesus Predestined us to be as sons in Jesus Christ. Since Jesus predestined us to be sons how then can we lose our Salvation?

If we do not have Salvation then Jesus never Predestined us to be sons in Him.

Like i said the Doctrine of works for your Salvation and works to keep your Salvation is from Satan, not from the Scriptures which were Inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore all who come to Jesus was Predestined to come to Jesus and cannot ever lose their Salvation. Salvation is Eternal. Not temporary like some false Christians teach.

Nope! (And Jedi mind tricks don't work on my kind either, so just Nope.)
I hope you was not trying to convince me with that response.

I guess I will continue
believe God wants to have a real relationship with his people. That requires free will, and us having the ability to say yes God, I want that too.

Not because he gave us some sort of faith magic or something.

Next to the loss of salvation crowd, the hyper-calvinists come in second for frustrating the Gospel.

My witness as a hyper-calvinist(and I used to be under this teaching but thank God he pulled me out of that garbage)," Jesus paid the price for some sins and it MAY be for you, so you may be the elect and it is my predestined obligation to tell you that Jesus Christ might have died for you.....if your one of the elect. But if not, forget it, he doesn't throw a life preserver to the non-elect."

Yeah, yeah I know that not one calvinist would witness like this........but its what is truly believed.

Jesus died for everyone including the soldiers that killed Him. I know most will not understand , but there is no war between God and satan. It is a legal battle much like a court, satan is trying to show God as unrighteous so that he can claim that God is no better than we or him. Which is why he fights Israel so hard, because if he can cause Israel to not exist then he has defeated God's word and therefore made Him un righteous.

Agreed. I call it the Kingdom conflict. And satan is not only working to defeat Israel and Gods chosen royal people, he is also working at defeating Gods Church His Chosen royal family.

At this point it looks like he is winning but we know better.

And the Genius of satan.........make the church believe that Israel is no longer distinct and His chosen people. It "looks" like God has lost Israel and Israel has lost the promises of God.................because satan has the majority of the church believing that Israel no longer exists. Sneaky, sneaky snake satan is!

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

But, Praise God the day is coming that He will descend with a shout (shout to the Lord) and He set foot on the mount of olives and it will split and make away for Israel and a two edged sword shall come out of his mouth and consume the wicked and we will be behind Him on white horses. Come Lord come.

Ah, but, you do not take into account "the great falling away." God will NEVER forsake US........does not mean WE will NEVER forsake Him.
I see no evidence he sook us. I see evidence he's forsaking us.

Nope. You have your own private gospel. All i'm saying is I'm not buying it. Most believers aren't buying it not matter how often you repeat it.
