i always felt the way the world has been coming to that we will see His return with all the evil in the world and how commonly accepted it has become, but i just stumbled across this nice article about 7 prophecies that must be fulfilled before His return and found it interesting and informative. kind of a long read but worth it.

Ever since Israel became a nation in 1948 and Jewish people regained control of Jerusalem in 1967, we are in the last days segment of time. Or End Times if you prefer. This is only a brief touch on the subject matter. There is very little, if anything at all, that must be fulfilled. Jesus could come back at any time. It is possible. If I knew what I know now and the year was 1700, then I would say "Not in your lifetime nor your kids, kids lifetime either because the time of the Gentiles would have not been fulfilled as of yet. That event fulfilled itself in 1967.

It cannot be predicted. It is not known. The signs appear to be there. But not even the angels in Heaven know.

True. The return of Christ cannot be predicted, but the season of his potential return can. He said so himself. Matt 24:32-39. This gives us an indicator but not a time. It could be any time now or a 100 or 200 years down the road or even later.

It could be happening right now before I finis

I've been raptured!!!

Not even Jesus knows, only God knows. but reading these scriptures and looking at how the world is shaping up, it seems as if that time will happen before you may expect.. "at the blink of an eye".

Mt.24:32-34 teach that when Israel it restored to the land, that generation will not pass away. Until all these thing are fulfilled. It might take 120+ yrs, for a generation to pass away, My prediction is, Jesus will return before 2068. I think the false peace maker will be making a peace treaty with the Jews and the Arabs soon, then Israel will build their temple and at the mid. point of The 70th week of Daniel, Jesus will return. Jesus will wait until Israel is in a time of "peace and safety" 1Thess.5:2-3. "then sudden destruction comes upon them." After the rapture of the church, then the man of sin will kill 2/3 thirds of the Jews, and the wrath of God will come upon the world. We will not know the day or hour but we will have a good idea when Jesus will come. The real clear passage in ,2Thess.2:1-3. The apostacy comes first and then the man of sin appears with peace for Israel. Love to all, Hoffco

No, Israel is not united as a kingdom yet. They have a plot of land named after them, but Judah is still astray as well as a lost tribe somewhere...

Also the temple is a long ways from being built.

If the second coming is in the believer, any generation can witness it.

[SUP]16 [/SUP]And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.

No one knows the day. But I still feel or think there will be a revival in the church before anything...That's my opinion. Because the world seems like it needs to grasp the light a bit more before all hellfire break lose through the end.

No, and I think you are somewhat too self involved to think it's going to definitely happen now.

It's not you job to endlessly speculate this.

Honestly I think it will happen long after their ceases to be a United States of America. Maybe 500 years from now. Maybe 10,000 years from now.

What I know is this, you are not that important, and neither am I.

Well, I think you are WAY off saying it will be 500-10,000 years away. All of the signs are here, why would God wait 500-10,000 (10k years, really?) years after the signs are completed? Makes no sense. Do you care to give any reasons why or did you pull that number out of thin air much like you are accusing the OP of doing (which to me is closer than your estimates.)

I am assuming within the next 100 years myself.

We are to watch for the signs that God tells us so we know when it will be soon, and the signs are here.

I have studied the 7 feasts that God told us to celebrate that lays out the plan God has for us. The first four feasts that predicted Christ's birth and the giving of the Holy Spirit to explain law to us, that of Passover and Succout, happened on the day of the celebration. Christ died on Passover, went to the tomb on the Day of unleavened Bread, and arose on the Day of First Fruits. The last three feasts are about the return of Christ. If the pattern God follows stays the same regarding the fulfillment of what these feasts prophecy, then we have no idea what year but Rosh Hashanah begins Sept 4th this year. This is also called the Day of Atonement.

We are told to watch, and the important thing we are to watch is that wickedness will increase. We are watching this, but I think each person who is saved in Christ needs to work just where they are to have Christ reign instead of wickedness. Droves of people, looking for structure and rules in their life, are going to false religions and Gods. To alllah, the Mormon church, all other places. Each of them says that they teach how to live well better than we do. In our churches we are teaching to only follow love and the HS, that these are above the written law instead of leading to it. We are teaching to know yourself and have faith in yourself, when God says to know Him and die to self.

How God uses you and I is the only thing that stands between the wickedness of the world, the occult taking over the world, and what God wants for us.

When Christ returns we will be saved, but I think we should work, now.

Well, we all have our read on it, but he's reaching to suit his needs is my opinion.

JEW is a word to describe the tribe of Judah. Yet you have that nation to the side called Judah, who do you think resides there?

The sons of Israel were how many? And this is but one.....

anyway, I'm quite sure we need not worry about it. We wont' see it coming when it happens, scripture says as much. We'll know it after the event. All that is relevant is you learn to live the life. It's about what we do, how we live, not what we know. That's one of the curses of the reformation is too much stress on information.
