Christians doing work isn't the issue.
The problem is that your interpretation is directly contradicting other very clear portions of Scripture.
If you are claiming that God choses people based on thier behavior, then salvation is by works... and there are too many verses that say 'not by works', and 'by grace through faith'.

if you go to Jesus and give him your heart he forgives you and you are sinless

Romans 9: 11,12:
Even before they were born or had done anything good or bad, the Lord told Rebekah that her older son would serve the younger one. The Lord said this to show that he makes his own choices and that it wasn't because of anything either of them had done.
Does this text say that we're already fated to go somewhere?
I know that God knows everything,
but that means that people can't be saved?
Its difficult.

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
This is simply one side of the equation many will not face on this board, instead they will try to 'reason away' what has clearly been expressed in Scripture. Sure there are Scriptures that also point to human responsibility but in trying to reconcile the two...you don't dump one or the other.

But God doesn't choose based on behavior. He chooses whom He will, the worst of sinners even, and sanctifies them with His Spirit, changing their lives, making them holy.

I know you go to a church that picks verses out of context and makes false religions

God does not choose by works or by grace and faith. The Father calls whom He will...
