amen, as he told Paul my grace is sufficient, if we got what we deserve, it would be worse than anything we can think of on earth.
Why do you people insist that "MY Grace is sufficient" is a no? Frankly its a silly assumption

It is?

God did not take the thing away from paul, He told him the truth, My grace is sufficient, which is basically God telling him, If you got what you really deserved, this thorn of the flesh would be like a little pinch. it wuld be nothing, That is why Paul could have such faith that even being stoned and left for dead was but a momentary affliction, Compaired to eternity, any sickness we have on earth is momentary.

Why do you people assume it means yes? If God said yes, He would not need to say my grace was suffienceint He would just heal him of his infirmaty, or his "thorn"

So Jesus died on the cross to set us free from the enemy and then God told Paul just to suck it up when He asked for help in that area? Suffer baby.. NOT. Read the Word and listen to the Holy Spirit instead of pastors brain

to add, Jesus did not demand people come to church and have a healing service, he went into the world and found sick people, and healed them,

if wof faih was true, they would go to hospitals to heal people. Put different doctors out of business, raise the dead at funerals, and there would maybe be a real revival.

I am convinced that the revival would be short lived

just like the Israelites in the desert. their entire existence in the desert was supernatural but it became common place and they complained

human nature stinks which is why we need Jesus so bad and why we need to BELIEVE what scripture tells us about ourselves

I don't know...maybe you see that too? anyway, that's what I see :)

So how do you think God feels about the question? I'll bet He's not the least bit offended
sorry I don't find any value anymore in "betting" and neither does God,so I'll have to disagree still.

God died on the cross to give us a relationship from him.

Why do people die? your whole theology is destroyed because people still die of diseasse and sickness,, If you were correct. as I said, Paul would still be living.

h and by the way, Your sarcasm is not helping your case, All it does it make the world see you as an arrogant person who has to tear people down who does not agree with him.

Pastors do not go around trying to destroy wof, they do not have to, all people have to do is use some common sense,

believing God hears us when we pray is biblical

praying AT God or praying AT people is not biblical. we should not pray our will on people. yet, many many do exactly that and cause spiritual conflict in the lives they pray over

please someone, anyone, put me in contact with all the people you have prayed over and God immediately granted your request and they now have a wonderful testimony about it all

of course, we ALL know the answer to that one, including WOF'ers

what is irritating me here, is the misrepresentation of what myself and some others are saying, namely, that we do not believe God heals

that is a lie; it was never said and those who repeat that, post that and twist what is said need to stop saying that people do that to them while they do it themselves to others

so tiresome

I'm sorry You must have too much blood in your caffeine stream. You realize that everybody that Jesus healed, died? I did not use sarcasm. That was a direct reference to the way church people worship their pastors. And believe every word he says without checking the Word. If you find me arrogant. OK.
If Christians did use common sense they would go to the Holy Spirit for teaching. and stop going by intellect.

Solomon did say that time and chance happen unto all.....God allowed Job to be attacked by the enemy up to and including "boils", the death of his family members, loss of his property etc. and at the end of the day Job was blessed more than in the beginning and had the "hottest" daughters in the land.....no matter how one slices and dices....(not accusing) just saying...GOD does not always say yes........even JESUS said....IF it is possible, let this cup pass from me.....the answer was....NO...you must endure this CUP because it is MY WILL.....just saying......!

What was Jobs sin that started the whole thing? Like maybe he forgot to walk in faith?

Quite the contrary....Job was UPRIGHT before GOD and hated evil....there was no sin per se that caused this event to take place in his life other than SATAN accusing JOB and saying that his stance was based upon GOD hedging him about and never letting anything negative ever happen to JOB....chapter one is clear on this issue!

Yesterday, I had some praise and worship music blasting in the house while I was cleaning. The front door was open since it was sunny. Emma (one of my daughters with special needs who cannot walk) was sitting in the doorway, dancing and really getting into the music. Suddenly she stopped and called for me. With great excitement, she bubbled to me that she had yelled "I LOVE JESUS!" out the door at the top of her lungs so the neighbors would hear. I told her that was wonderful.

A few seconds later, she called me again. She was sitting on the couch and had a "I need to have a serious chat with you" look on her face. I sat down next to her and asked what was on her mind. "Does God answer our prayers?" she asked. "Yes," I told her. I was about to explain how sometimes God answers "yes" and sometimes he answers "no" but I noticed she had her eyes tightly shut and was clasping her hands together in deep, heart felt prayer. Suddenly she sprang from the couch, attempted to take a very large step (all in pure confidence) and landed flat on her bottom. I was startled, having no time to catch her, and asked her if she was alright. She looked very emotionally hurt and confused, but not physically hurt in any way. I knew the look without her even having to explain: What in the world went wrong?

I have often asked myself the same question as I cried out to God in a complete surrender of faith. Why won't he give me my heart's desire? It is during those times I think back about how close I have become to God through trials and how the pain I feel about my children's health has drawn others toward the cross. These things are deep and hard to explain to a sweet girl who's faith is undiluted by age and the world. My prayer for all my children is that God will give them the ability to take "no" for an answer. Even though it hurts and even though we don't understand, God has us in his hands and knows what's best for our lives. "No" may be just the answer we don't realize we need to hear for our lives to be everything we want them to be. No matter what storms we go through, in Christ everything has a purpose and a plan.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. --Jeremiah 29:11
I apologize for sounding as if I don't care but your story has not shown how that God has lied in any wise, and it more of seems like you are venting,in my view it would have been better for you to have made a prayer request in the prayer request forum for your child, instead of making a thread asking if God lies because if you "read" the bible God has done many miraculous things for people, take abram and sarai, later renamed Abraham and Sarah for example,God promised Abram that his seed would be many and that he would be the father of many nations, but when God told abram that he now be called Abraham and Sarai be called Sarah, and that he would now fulfill his promise, saying that they would have a child, while Abraham was now a hundred years old and Sarah was now ninety, and both laughed at this, and God replied particularly concerning Sarah saying"why didst Sarah laugh when told that she would bear a child for is anything too hard for God,you see God does indeed give us our desires but not always in the way we want, your child can have what they desire, but this doesn't just require faith, but prayer as well, the more prayers that are sincere for your child the more God will take notice of the child's affliction and seek to heal it,for remember as Jesus said "one must have 3 witnesses to make a a true judgement,so thus meaning whether one makes a statement of what is true or one wishes for one to be healed, there must be at the very least 3 people to pray for the child, they must faithfully desire for the child to no longer be afflicted, and have compassion not pity for the child, and God will answer with a blessing of that you can be sure!

You are saying that Job was sinless? Not so my friend. There was one particular sin that Job was guilty of that opened him up to attack from Satan. If there had been no sin, Satan would have had no 'in'

Job 3:25
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.....Job got out of faith. That which is not of faith is sin.

I am not going to argue with YOU...GOD was clear in his estimation of JOB which far outweighs your attempt to change the narrative of JOB and what took place....and too be frank....your approach speaks volumes to trying to find a devil behind every bush....and lastly....show me where I said Job was sinless....as a matter of fact the very WORD proves you narrative wrong....through the WHOLE process it states clearly that JOB did not sin with his lips...

Barking up the wrong tree pal!

I agree, even the feeding of 5000 the next day they came wanting more food. Jesus tried to tell them to look for the food which endures forever, and they wanted nothing to do with it.

did you actually read the op?

the woman is doing anything BUT venting

she is NOT saying God lies

take a good look at this from her op:

I get the impression she does indeed read the Bible, but sorry, you did not read her post very well it seems
