I've not read those articles, as yet, and haven't read any other postings to OP, as yet either. Think, I've seen that Jonathan Edwards guy mentioned here in CC, but don't quote me on that!...lol

" Each one according to THEIR (NOT yours, not corporately, not your pastor's) faith!" Don't know about you, or y'all, but this aligns with your accusatory "tone", that larger containers, or acquiring, or earning, a larger container is a bad, evil, dark, wicked, something not to be desired, nor striven to grow to, or for. If every believer was this way? Why would the Father deem it necessary, to put forth this next, "up and coming" earth and heaven age, and not go straight to the Great White Throne Judgement?

The "parable of the talents" also comes to mind. The "parable of the Mustard Seed", also comes to mind. Would not a kind and gracious Heavenly Father, "see" that one of His children who has grown "out" of the "pot" they were initially "germinated" in, and "transplant" it into a larger "pot", so that one's growing may continue?

What I see in this "accusation:"......

"They are throwing in this "capacity" idea that each saint will have a fullness of joy but in larger or smaller capacities. According to them, the amount of rewards we get determines our capacity of joy, happiness, and relationship with God.".....If this is true, then, it bespeaks of a vanity! Which is not a good thing! Yet, this "fullness of joy", yada, yada, is just as full in a smaller pot, as it is in a larger pot. Methinks, where you are either confused, or attempting to confuse, is in this "fusing" the definition of the word "capacity" with the definition of the word "RESPONSIBILITY!"

Hey NayborBear,

Honestly, I'm not trying to sound like an idiot but I can't really make out what you're trying to tell me. I do not think it's wicked to serve God harder to achieve more rewards. I will try to explain my point better... I might not explain this too well lol.

Here is my point for the post:

All Christians will be judged at the judgment seat of Christ. God speaks of rewarding men according to their deeds whether good or bad. Apparently (at least I think) some of these rewards will be crowns. The point these articles (and some I didn't list) were trying to make is that each crown contains a certain amount (capacity) of God's love/intimacy/friendship/etc.. So the overall power of your relationship with God for eternity will be contingent on how many crowns (or rewards) you get at the judgment.

They acknowledge Psalm 16:11 and say that each saint will have a fullness of joy. God's love is joy itself. So they like to say that even though we will all be "full", in reality some saints will have more of a fullness of God's love. One saint will be truly happier than the other because they have a larger container of God's love.

They like to use verses like Daniel 12:2-3 and 1 Corinthians 15:41 to say that some saints will shine brighter (have more glory & feel more of God) than other saints because of the certain amount of crowns they have.

However, I now believe this to be false (I was worried for a couple days that it was true). Matthew 13:43 says that in the kingdom of God we'll all shine forth as the sun and Philippians 3:21 says that our bodies will be fashioned unto Christ's glorious body. We are all one in Christ, so how can one person shine brighter than the other? That doctrine is stupid.

Anyway, what I was mainly asking is does God's love & intimacy toward you exceed the amount of rewards you get? God commands us that we love him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. So how can he expect that from us but not give us his FULL heart. How can he dispense more love to one child over the other? The bible says that God is no respecter of persons.

I think he loves a backslidden child just as much as the child that serves him faithfully. But God is fair, so since that backslider was unfaithful/did not live for God as they should have, God will take away rewards from him but STILL love him with all His heart, mind, soul, & strength. I don't think that any child of His can earn His heart no matter how hard or little they worked for Him. God loves each child with all his heart. If He didn't, he would be a hypocrite to tell us to love Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

I hope you understand what I was trying to say now.

NayborBear,

If it's true that God will show more love to someone more than me for eternity, I won't be able to function properly. I will live this current life full of anxiety, fear, and depression. I'm at a point in my life where I'm fully dependent on God. I'm on a serious John 15:5 right now. God is the only reason why I have hope and happiness. God is my love. I would hate myself if God really does love someone more than me.

[for me anyway] we ought not to be looking for what is in it for us, for such thinking is secular, worldly, carnal: contrariwise they that do truly follow the Lord Jesus Christ have denied their own will, and seek the will of God only and exclusively. Beside that:

"Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?" (Amos 5:18-20)

Of course for the faithful in Christ there shall be joy in heaven; but that does not diminish this warning from God that we should not be looking for and focusing upon what is in it for us, for then have we not denied ourselves, which the Lord requires of any that would follow Him.

I know that grace is unmerited love and favor and that is the kind of Love God has for us in Christ. We don't do anything to get God to love us. Grace comes from the one Who loves., not from us the ones who are being loved. God's love is somehow self motivated. I don't understand all there is to know about God's grace because we learn more about His love each day. Just when you think you have a clue., He goes and gives more and we stand amazed just like that old song says.

As far as rewards go., our job is to follow the Good Shepherd and allow Him to lead us according to the faith He gives us. We acknowledge Him in all our ways and He will direct our path. There is no guess work about it.
As we follow the Good Shepherd., we will be growing in the intimacy you are talking about.

It's impossible to please God without faith and that is what pleases Him above everything we do. Trusting what He says, believing He loves us despite our feelings at first to the contrary. The apostle John believed he was loved and talked about himself as "the apostle Jesus loved"

Faith grows the more we use it. And I've discovered the Holy Spirit adds to it faith upon faith. It's not sweaty and hard. It's resting. There is a rest for the people of God. And Jesus said to come and follow Him., His yoke is easy and His burden is light. It works!!

Thank you sis for commenting on my post. It means a lot to me!! Your answers give me rest :). Love your insight.

It is my goal in life to be extremely close to God and do what he wants me to do :D. Even before I knew about rewards, I wanted to serve God and let him use me as he wishes.

Bottomline, even for those saints left behind at the pre trib rapture event, He loves them too to get those lost sheep.

Seeking favoritism among other believers is kind of a vanity, is it not? We should be grateful & content that He loves us.

1 John 4:[SUP]19 [/SUP]We love him, because he first loved us.

How can anyone get a degree of love from that when no greater love than this, He who lays His life down for His friends? All of them?

Romans 8:[SUP]31 [/SUP]What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?[SUP] 32 [/SUP]He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?[SUP] 33 [/SUP]Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.[SUP] 34 [/SUP]Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.[SUP] 35 [/SUP]Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?[SUP] 36 [/SUP]As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.[SUP] 37 [/SUP]Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.[SUP] 38 [/SUP]For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,[SUP]39 [/SUP]Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amen bro Enow!!! :D  :D I sing that song sometimes lol I need to sing to God more. You're right I do think if God really gave more of his love to one child over another for eternity that would be unrighteous and we all know there is no unrighteousness in him Psalm 92:15. God is no respecter of persons.

There will be NO Christian left behind at the rapture. Not one. 1 Cor 15:51ff and 1 Thes 4:13ff apply to every single Christian.
This is an important point. If all the genuine saints have been washed and in the blood of the Lamb and clothed with His righteousness, then they all are the Body and Bride of Christ, and will finally become the Lamb's Wife. Salvation is by grace through faith, and all of God's children are elect and predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son. This too is entirely by God's grace to unworthy sinners. God's ultimate plan for the Church is that He should be glorified through the perfection of the Church for all eternity.
You guys are forgetting the prodigal son that gave up his inheritance for wild living and thus what makes a vessels unto dishonor in His House.

God will judge His House first; 1 Peter 4:17-19

The very fact that those saints that do not heed the call to repent of that iniquity in the church at Thyatira is an example & warning that unrepentant saints will be cast into the bed of the great tribulation; hence left behind. Revelation 2:21-26

Reasoning? Think of it as excommunication for living the wild life still like the prodigal son or for still being in a religious or spiritual iniquity that denies Him.

What we build on that foundation will be judged. 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 as that day is the pre trib rapture ( see verse 13 ). Those whom have defiled the Temple of God that had not looked to Him for help to discern & to depart from iniquity, him/her God will destroy with physical death as explained in Revelation 2:21-26 so that the spirit may be saved in the day of Christ; 1 Corinthians 3:15.

Even former believers are called to repent in order to be received as vessels unto honor in His House. 2 Timothy 2:18-21

So no, brothers. The pre trib rapture is when God will judge His House first. That is when and how the vessels unto honor are received and thus separated from the vessels unto dishonor and why the vessels unto dishonor are left behind.

1 Corinthians 5:4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, [SUP]5 [/SUP]To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

No unrepentant saved believer can participate at the Marriage Supper table just as we are not to hold fellowship with them until they repent... which they will when they shall be received after the great tribulation as vessels unto dishonor in His House.

1 Corinthians 5:8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. [SUP]9 [/SUP]I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: [SUP]10 [/SUP]Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. [SUP]11 [/SUP]But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
What the church fails to do today to excommunicate an unrepentant saved believer to repentance, God will do. Count on it.

Jesus warned His disciples just as He has done with the seven churches in Revelation ( Luke 12:40-49 ) Do note that those left behind are still counted as His servants as they are receiving stripes by the measure for not preparing by His help.

Jesus warned for us to pray that we may be counted worthy to escape because even the cares of this life can be a snare ( Luke 21:33-36 ) that would tempt someone to love their lives than leave to attend the Marriage Supper; Luke 14:15-33

So there are two major reasons why saved believers will be left behind; unrepentant iniquity & loving their lives on earth that they would not want to leave it when the Bridegroom comes. So I am taking Jesus's promptings to pray that not only He will help me to discern & depart from iniquity as I am leaning on Him daily by His grace & by His help to lay aside every weight & sin in running that race, but also to love Him and the treasures above to leave this life and loved ones behind.

I do so hope in His mercy for all things for which I shall praise Him all the more for delivering me out of them all in bringing me Home to the Marriage Supper by His righteousness and His faithfulness as my Good Shepherd & as my Friend.

When Jesus tells us all to get ready... then we all best heed His call to lean on Him to be willing as well as be ready to go.

You like to write many words, Enow, but you are wrong.

Every Christian is born of God, a child of God through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

No Christian (person born of the Holy Spirit) will be left behind at the rapture.

Each of us has a different capacity to receive the Love of God.

The more time we spend with Him and receive this Love the more of a capacity we will have.

But we won't have near the capacity here on earth that we will in Heaven.

So its not a fear of not being loved enough that we should be dwelling on. It is a thankfulness that we have been given the capacity for His Love that we should be dwelling on.

Are you saying that each individual child of God contains a different amount of His heart?. In heaven, are there some saints that have a bigger container of God's love than others do? (Genuine questions, not trying to have a mocking tone)

No. I believe that what he is saying is applicable on earth, i.e all Christians are not at the same level of love, devotion, and obedience. However, things will be totally different in Heaven after all the saints have been perfected and glorified. And God's love is different than human love.

John 17:19-26 clears up this whole issue.

21: That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22: And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them , as thou hast loved me.

24: Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

26: And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Here's a redo of what I posted. (Wanted to do a better job of emphasizing, hope this is better)

21
: That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22: And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them , as thou hast loved me.

24:
Father,I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

26:
And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Dangit lol I still did not underline and embolden everything perfectly.

But my point should be clear now xD.

Based off these verses, we as God's children are loved just as much as Jesus! We will are one in his glory!

Which is why no saved believer found in iniquity will be received as a vessel unto honor in His House to attend the Marriage Supper, but left behind to be received later on after the great tribulation as vessels unto dishonor.

It is in respect to His Covenant, He will restore them to the path of righteousness for His name's sake as they are still His and He loves them as He would the prodigal son and although received as vessels unto dishonor, they are in His House.

I can only warn others to go before that throne of grace for help to discern by Him any iniquity that they may be in and to lean on Him for help to depart from it as well as praying that He will help them to be willing to go when the Bridegroom comes.

Bro I cannot comment on the rapture if there will be any Christian left behind or not. I have not done much studying on that. The only thing I can say is that I believe the rapture is pre-trib. I'm just so happy that God has shown me through his word that he loves us just as much as Jesus. God does not love Jesus in "certain capacities". God does not love Jesus in "larger or smaller containers". The Father loves Jesus with his WHOLE heart. I can now be at peace with this matter :D.

God loves us all equally; but God does NOT reward us all equally. If our motivation in doing what we know is right is to receive rewards we likely won't get any. IMO God rewards willingness to serve wholeheartedly based solely on our love for him.

This is an interesting subject the more we each share on it. The faith issue is the answer here for me because I read what pleases God is faith. When we live by the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.

So what causes us to be "working" is when we live and walk by faith and not by sight. It's the obedience of faith that causes us to be victorious because we are simply following Christ by the infilling ability of the Holy Spirit. We are not mustering up the ability and discipline to do it in our own strength. We are simply acting on the faith we have been given. One step at a time as we learn to work OUT what Christ has put IN us.

Sis, at the moment I believe that a lot of us as Christians have a HUGE misconception of what the judgment seat of Christ really is. I may be wrong but I actually think that we're misinterpreting who the judgment is really for. I'm currently doing more research on this matter. As of right now I take back everything I said about gaining/losing rewards. I currently believe that as saved Christians we'll all get the same reward. But like I said I'm studying this out so I might change my mind.
