My thought is that you have been reading too many Jack Chick comic books and tracts. Those things are so radically weird and just wrong in so many places, but very seductive.

In fact, I think reading Jack Chick is more dangerous than reading Harry Potter. Don't mess with your brain, dude!

I know what your saying. Actually Chick's website keeps coming up in "debates" (for lack of a better) I have been having with KJV-onlyists here on CC--they seem to have a fondness for him.

The whole Harry Potter thing is absurd and I'll tell you why!

In one of the films they briefly go
Back in time to stop someone's pet getting slaughtered

Why didn't he just go further back in time and stop his parents getting killed in the first place!!!!

Outrageous!

Hahahahahaha excellent point brother!!. :p

I have read all of the books and watched all of the movies (I was even a fan), and I do not like them for two reasons:
1) they are one of the subtle ways the devil tries to get us following him instead of God. evidence: After reading and watching them I started to dabble in witchcraft, I had no desire to before. Yet there I was trying candle rituals, burning things as sacrifice, drawing pentagrams, etc. My husband's cousin believed, after watching Harry Potter, that he was a real warlock. It made me believe that there was a real possibility to have some kind of supernatural power. Well, that was BC (before Christ) :)
2) this second reason may sound ridiculous, but I hated how the last book was written. with all the detail it lacked there could have easily been at the least one more book.

well, just thought I'd share. don't mean to intrude on any current discussions. Blessings and beware what you entertain yourselves with.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
