I have earlier written about my part time foster daughter that stays here every third week. She is a Muslim, but hasn't been that religious. We avoid pork when she is here, otherwise it goes very smoothly. Now she is here again, and she has changed. She wants to pray and wear hijab and cover herself when she is praying. And I feel bad. I don't really like that it is prayed to any other God than our Heavenly Father in my home. But I can't stop her, can I? It is OK that she doesn't eat when it is light, and she eats nuts, pizza and olives when she breaks fast. But prayer? Can I refuse her, or just be confident that we serve a mighty God and that my prayers in the Spirit will protect my home and that any other principalities have no authority in my house?
it is not easy, need pray. I am from Muslim country, one day my Muslim friend visit me and pray in my house, because there are schedule time for them to pray. If I say no, he going to say, I am intolerant, if I say yes, I feel it it wrong.

in my mind, I think as a Christian, my duty is to spread the gospel, not to force other to accept Jesus, only to tell. And I did tell him what I believe. The fact he pray to Allah mean he not accept it.

“I don't really like that it is prayed to any other God than our Heavenly Father in my home.”

Not sure I understand that comment – the God of Abraham and Isaac is the same God of Ishmael. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all worship the same God no matter how he is referred to in different beliefs.

Just because the methods of worship are different than yours does not make them somehow wrong (or evil, etc., etc.)

Or are you asserting that the God of the OT is a different deity than that of the NT and therefore she's not worshiping the same God you do??
Are you suggesting the fake deity of the Quran is the same God of the OT and NT? If so, why are you on this site?

You obviously need to pray, but in your shoes I would read the Koran and then start discussing it with her.

This requires strength in your own belief.

Ultimately, if she ended up declaring something hostile towards you, then you would need to pray again.

I would have thought 'honour your mother' would be the governing principle here.
I really don't have to study gangsta rap to know I don't like it. (I'm assuming gangsta rap is still a thing, right?)

I think that it's the negative view of other Faith's that put different religions at war with each other in the first place.

I don't think that God wants us putting each other faith down and fightin with each other.

If the worse thing is he'd say is you're intolerant, than so be it. I want friendships based on love, honesty, and trust, not fear. If I'm keeping my mouth shut over something out of fear, not much of a friendship.

Are you talking about the same God that told the Israelites to wipe out all nations in the Promise Land because they were worshiping false gods?

But God has told us to do so, for they proclaim a false Christ (1 John 2.18 on). They are liars and antichrist. (1 John 2.22)

The word “Riba” is used in the Holy Quran 8 times. In 30:39,4:161,3:130, 2:276,2:278 and 3 times in 2:275. The Quran says

“Those who devour usury will not stand except as stand one whom the Evil one by his touch Hath driven to madness. That is because they say: "Trade is like usury," but Allah hath permitted trade and forbidden usury. Those who after receiving direction from their Lord, desist, shall be pardoned for the past; their case is for Allah (to judge); but those who repeat (The offence) are companions of the Fire: They will abide therein (for ever).” (Quran 2:275)

“O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubled and multiplied;but fear Allah. that ye may (really) prosper.” (Quran 3:130)

Deuteronomy 23:19
19 “You shall not charge interest on loans to your brother, interest on money, interest on food, interest on anything that is lent for interest.

IDK. I've never actually eaten a lemon just because I've tasted the juice. And I have no idea what a persimmon is, except I know not to eat one, because they're supposed to be bitter.

I don't really need to read the Quran, because I see its bitterness too.

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

"If anyone comes to you with a different gospel do not even let them in your house."

I would rather get out of the foster care business. God comes first. As far as it depended on me, within my power, I would not accept the worship of false gods in my home, or any other gospel other than the holy bible.

No way, nota, uhtuh, not happening, not for even a second sister!

Christ commanded us to take the Gospel into the Highways and Byways. So while you are busy patting yourself on the back about how righteous you are, you are forgetting the most important person here the step-daughter.

They have since made Him into something that He is not. The person they describe is not God. Therefore it IS the worship of a false god.

Do you know what? Who cares?

The issue is not about scoring an A grade at theological college, it is about ministering to the child.

The most important person here is God, and to allow a false god to be worshipped in your home is betrayal, not faithfulness.

Well in that case only foster children who tick the box that says Christian.

It depends on your calling.
