Well the sabbath day was the seventh day, but God changed it and said sabbath day is today, this simply means everyday is sabbath day, God did not put an end to the sabath day. those who tell you that, you must be careful
The seventh day is still the seventh day. It's blessed, holy and sanctified by God. That did not change. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for mankind. The literal seventh day Sabbath was celebrated by the early church long after Jesus' death and resurrection. The seventh day will be honored in the millennium. Jesus taught us over and over again on how to honor the Sabbath in light of the details of life and His words are the foundational principles of the new covenant. Jesus never once talked about Sunday. There is only one who wants to do away with the ways of God and it's not Jesus.

Do you believe the teachings of Jesus is for you? Well, He didn't have to teach which day the Sabbath was but He surely had to teach us how to honor the Sabbath. His teachings put the Sabbath back in it's right perspective in that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Jesus removed all the ritualistic and religious baggage that religious man placed on the Sabbath. Jesus taught over and over again on how to honor that Sabbath in light of the details of life. If you follow Jesus, who is Lord of the Sabbath, you will find yourself calling the Sabbath, the Lord's day. If you follow Jesus and teach His ways to your city you and your whole city will gather every Sabbath to hear the word of God.

Acts 13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.
You didn't answer my question. Why is there a conspicuous silence in the NT concerning Saturday sabbathkeeping? One would expect to see some remark about conflicts between masters and slaves about Sabbath observance if it was mandatory.

You didn't hear me. There are dozens of verses that reveal a continued Sabbath observance. There are even verses that say the Sabbath will continue to be kept even in the millennium. Do you believe homosexuality is okay because Jesus never, not even once, spoke against it?

That seems to be the truth.
A sad truth,
but truth all the same.

If we were to care about such topics, then there would not be several verses telling is to not be wasting our time over discussions of Sabbaths.
So physically minded,
But even so, their stubbornness is forgiven in Christ.

I'm excited for the coming Sabbath :)
I have some extended family coming over for the first time in a few years.

Don't worry. I'll refrain from working, just for the sake of your consciences.
I'll do all the yard work tomorrow, and finish before sunset :)
Now, that is how you do it....... :)

The Prophets speak of animal sacrifices in the Millennium as well. However, Jesus was sacrificed once for all. What good would it do to have animal sacrifices? Instead, I think the Prophets were speaking of a restoration of the worship of God in a way that the Israelites could understand.

There will be lost people who will need to be saved during the millennium so how God chooses to help them people is His choice. The sacrifice under the old covenant taught them of the future work God would do through His Son and the seriousness of sin in what killing an animal looks like. If God chooses to use the experience of the death of an animal and the work of Christ to help people understand the past work of Jesus then so be it. Who am I to question God's plan. I do know that all this killing and death came because people didn't obey God so obedience is still important.

Just a point of order. The Bible is clear Jesus is God, clear all scripture is inspired by God ("God breathed"), and not the philosophies of man, even those non red letter teachings. Therefore, Jesus has indeed spoken against homosexuality all places in the Bible where homosexuality is dealt with.

And the fourth commandment? Did Jesus teach us how to honor the Sabbath? So it stands that just because Jesus taught it, it doesn't mean His people will obey it.

Christianity is a living faith, with the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and leading to righteousness, the law written on our hearts. I know I see many things with God's eyes helping me, know when I do wrong. All moral law of the Bible is good for teaching righteousness, this a given. We are also to be obedient. And what I'm wondering is this. Am I the only person who is just sick of all the Judaizing arguments going on, the Judaizer laying down the law burden, then people bickering over ordinances, ad nauseam, which are neither here nor there to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? Please, I'm not being mean, but I'm just sick of Saturday versus Sunday, Christmas or no Christmas, lame and pointless arguments, when all this was cleared up in the first century!

Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.

Hebrews 9:8-10 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

Ephesians 2:11-15 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.

Romans 14:5-6 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Galatians 2:3-5 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

Please, folks, quit trying to think you're going to impress God by your worship day, or your salvation is in jeopardy on some point of Jewish ordinance even your own conscience and the indwelling Holy Spirit would not condemn, and just tell anybody trying to bring you into legal bondage to have a nice life!

Romans 14:22-23 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Sorry, no offense, really, I just get nothing from such conversations bickering over law or permutating basic doctrine that, to me, is already resolved. I know what I'm convinced of, which is in line with Christianity of the New Testament. Sorry, you couldn't know how I feel about some arguments I've long ceased to participate in, but some types of arguments I don't wish to engage in anymore, just myself.

There is a spiritual war over God's word. And the title of this war is, "Has God really said". Until people understand the prophecies God gave His people to help identify the Beast and what the Beast was going to do with, what God has said, you will never come out of Babylon. God does not want His people in Babylon.

Revelation 18:1-5 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.” And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

This warning is for us today. And how about this one?

Revelation 14:8-10 And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

Do you think God says these things because He likes to hear Himself talk?

The saints of God will have a certain characteristic that makes the Dragon mad.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The characteristic God is looking for in His saints cannot happen if they do away with His Law.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Salvation is determined by who's side you are on and who's side you are on is determined by who you obey.

The Jews were convinced too when they killed Jesus. This war is spiritual and it takes being led by the Spirit, through the word of God and the excising of our sensors to discern good and evil.
