All of us have a story to tell. And mine was religion. I was stuck in religion. I didn't like it,I constantly struggled with it. But I couldn't pin point the problem, everybody else seemed to be liking it and seemed comfortable. Getting saved was AMAZING, but this "white knuckle" life afterwards SUCKED. I was ready to leave it all.

Coincidence? I think not. God stepped in and sent me to my right pastor teacher. He taught Grace and freedom in Christ. I could then pin point my problem.

I came to forums to pronounce this freedom and Grace. Show the bondage religion puts us in.

One thing that becomes very clear. there are a lot of believers who LIKE religion. They are comfortable there. They don't want more. I don't understand it, but it becomes very apparent after a while.

So yeah, it becomes grace and Knowledge against tradition and ritual without reality or religion.
i don't either!! And i don't think i will ever do!! Its shocking to see that there a people who know the truth( the pure grace of God) yet prefer religion!!!

how about because I felt drawn here because I want to share what the Savior has done and is doing in my life, seems no matter the details of how one believe, we all share a common Spirit, and when we get together in one place even in the midst of disagreements and misunderstandings, there remains a common bond to our great redeemer and each recognizes in themselves and others here a desire for something more then this dark and dying world has to offer.

my apologies for not choosing the choices you provided but I didn't see my reason properly expressed.
That's called "fellowshipping." Just saying.......... :)

I find some interesting things to read here from time to time. The archives are fun to dig through. I'm not exactly sure why I registered an account though. I could easily get the usefulness from this site without being connected to it or associated with it.

See the Poll for the choices...........

Thanx............

It says I joined in 2013 but it feels like much longer than that!! Back then I joined because I was an agoraphobic person after going through a major traumatic event in life. Fear was a constant companion and fear of people was a close 2nd to fear of being homeless and destitute in the streets. Leaving the house was only done after midnight., and then only to Walmart using my foodstamps. Ashamed and a lone and ostracized from the family and Christian community I once was a part of.

While finding safety and comfort inside the 4 walls of my small 1977 mobile home, God began to teach me about His love. Now that everything I once thought could not be touched was totally gone, the real and true Good Shepherd was here. Not my idea of Him and what I had been taught of Him. But Him in real time for today in the here and now of my life.

On line was the only place I felt safe to go while I was learning. Jesus gently and carefully showed out in my life in many shocking ways. He used many avenues and one of many was CC. He knows we need a place to be safe. And when we give Him our trust and start (even begin to start to believe) He could actually love us. Even in the awful face of the reality that there is a whole big world out there with babies and children being killed and or abused., sick people and old people with diseases at death's door, and soldiers out in battle., Jesus made the truth of His looking at me real.

Only God could do this. This is grace. The Bible says all the hairs of your head are numbered. That not one sparrow falls that He is not aware of them., are you not more valuable than they are? This truth will change your life. It changed mine and Jesus came in.

So, now, the reasons I'm on CC is not because of my agoraphobia. Jesus through a series of events has healed me of that and brought me through a series of jobs and home sweet homes, and experiences. And although 3 years doesn't seem like it was too long, it was a million years ago as well as it was just yesterday.

I'm on CC to be friends with my brothers and sisters in Christ. To be encouraged by them and to hopefully encourage them. To also and most importantly share what Jesus will do if we let Him. To share and enforce the truth of how much He loves us and wants to bless us and take care of us.

I'm also finding many who are like I used to be, much like Israel who would not let Jesus take care of them. Many who are scared like I was. Jesus said He would have gathered them together like a mother hen and her chicks but 'they would not' And He never forces us.

But when we actually take the chance and when we DO allow Him to love us and show His grace to us and take care of us, He makes it better than we could ever have hoped for. He will not allow our feet to stumble or fall. He will not allow us to be put to shame if we trust Him.

Coming to CC is about reinforcing the truth of the Gospel to those who are seeking., and strengthening each other in the faith. Talking and posting about the grace of God IN Christ. Sharing about the love of God is a most uplifting experience that so far I have not tired of on CC. I can type till the cows come home about what I read that morning and love to hear about what others are learning about the love of God in Christ that day.

Jesus in His usual calm and peaceful way gave me a promotion at work in September and another source of income. I'm seriously a no body in the world. The world actually passes me by. But Jesus has picked me up and lifted me up to be something for Him. And He will do the same for any of His sheep.
It doesn't depend on your abilities or how great you are. It depends on Him and His love for you. He wants us to follow Him and be the sheep of His pasture. I want to share that here on CC all the time if I share anything I want to be sharing His love.

My main reasons for being at CC are that I wish to fellowship with other Christians and learn more about God's Word. But I also enjoy sharing what I do know about God's Word, especially in regards to biblical creation. But I don't preach as such.
