I am sorry, I allready offended you. But, I don't believe it happened. What you heard I don't know, I am no Doctor.

Luke 16: [SUP]19[/SUP]There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
[SUP]20[/SUP]And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
[SUP]21[/SUP]And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
[SUP]22[/SUP]And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
[SUP]23[/SUP]And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
[SUP]24[/SUP]And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
[SUP]25[/SUP]But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
[SUP]26[/SUP]And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
[SUP]27[/SUP]Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
[SUP]28[/SUP]For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
[SUP]29[/SUP]Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
[SUP]30[/SUP]And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
[SUP]31[/SUP]And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

I have been a christian for 6 years but i still cant hear god speaking to me through prayer or reading, i do find this really hard.
You never heard his voice!

Have you done what he asked for? Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, pray for those who persecute you; bless those who curse you… Seek first his righteousness, and then you will feel his presence! Listen to my voice, says the Lord, and you will become my people and I your God.

Why are you looking in the Scripture for the love One? The Scripture testifies about God but the Scripture is not God. Go rather toward the poor, the weak, the needy, those who suffer and you will find Him! Truly, says the Lord, as you did it to one of the least of them you did it to me.

These claims of hearing God speak audibly create elitism and confusion within the body of Christ. God does not speak audibly to individuals today. We have the sufficient Scripture which He uses to communicate. If you are hearing voices you should seriously consider seeing a doctor.
When Jesus encountered Saul on the Damascus road, He said to him, "Why do you persecute Me? "It's hard for you to kick against the pricks." Have you ever seen anyone throwing themselves repeatedly into physical harm's way? No, because God made us so that we avoid physical harm naturally. Saul was harming himself by persecuting Jesus, and Jesus was telling him that it was impossible for him to win. See it? It is impossible for you to win when saying that God doesn't speak and that the Scriptures are all we need to hear God. Like Saul, you just can't see it. To say that those who believe what you don't believe need meds is like distracting someone from the issue at hand; disdain and mockery have nothing to do with addressing truth. Saying that is completely irrelevant. Ananias had to pray for Saul to receive his sight because he was blind. You should ask God to give you the ability to see everything in His Word that is true, not just the things you already believe. But until you have found one Scripture that says that because we have the Scriptures, we no longer need to hear God, you have nothing with which to address me. Let me give you a hint before you ever consider searching the Bible to find what you want it say: the Scriptures cannot say that, because they were progressively written and not written at one time by the same people. Because the Bible was progressively written over thousands of years, it cannot (and does not) say that only in the Scriptures can God speak to us. I know that everyone has to believe something, but it's hard to go against the natural order of things (e.g. refraining from food, beating and harming oneself, basically abusing yourself), and saying that God only speaks in Scripture is going hard against the plain truths.

You think you have a strong point here? Till you find a scripture to tell me to stop raping women I will not stop!

Same is true for manslaughter, till you find that scripture I will continue.

Don't you see how wrong your thinking is?

The Almighty God talking to you, you must have some really interesting Info. I have not seen anyting, maybe "I hear you" Its also strange that God only talks in 5-6 word sentenes. Don't you find that strange. Why, would not God just kick back and tell you some things that would help this world? God can do anything, but He's not going to talk to you. That would make him a respector of Persons, its not going to happen!

Parable pete those than can hear God has a purpose a job given but you would disern that if you were attentive when God speaks to me its for the edifying of the church body not just one congregation but for the world , but each individual must develop to what God has called them to do , to know what God has called one to do comes from God later on comfirmed and that is how it has worked.for me bur it worked for saul of tarsus also for moses even our Lord jesus was comfirmed in many forms by scripture by mary by many prophets even john the baptist paving the way for the Lord ...
