If the wages of sin is death and we die, do we not all still have sin?

Now this is what I don't understand. Call it good old common sense or childish foolishness, but if 'death' in this verse means 'spiritual death', then what is physical death? And if my 'spirit' is 'dead', how is that I am still alive, being just the flesh alone?

The bible also says that the spirit belongs to God and will return to God. To do that, it has to be living.
Physical death is separation of the body from soul and spirit.

Spiritual death is eternal separation of the soul from God.

If these definitions were true, then Jesus could not have saved you even if He wanted to! If Adam DIED SPIRITUALLY after he ate of the tree, and "Spiritual death is ETERNAL SEPARATION of the soul from God", how could He?

The pronouncement of it and the execution of it are two different things...

'pronouncement' -> "If your name is not in the book of life on Judgment Day - you will be cast into the lake of fire and separated from God for all eternity."

'execution' -> God executes the above stated pronouncement on Judgment Day when your name is not found in the book of life.

The "curse of sin" placed Adam into a "fallen state" -- from which an 'escape' was made possible through Christ.

Adam - upon entering the "fallen state" - was not immediately separated from God forever.

Judgment Day is "the point of no return" - when 'pronouncement' becomes 'execution'.

Spritual 'death' is the pronouncement now ( "fallen state" ) and the execution on Judgment Day ( no more chance of 'escape' ).

The pronouncement can be "reversed" ( pardon granted ) - the execution cannot.

( This is the best way I can think of to explain... I hope it is sufficient. )

Judgement means correction. Of which, we must be of the same mind. The names not in the book of life are.....our earthly names.

If my name is John Doe. I go to work, pay bills and lead the average life, then this name is cast in the fire. We are to crucify the flesh. The good with the bad.

If God in heaven were to call out for John Doe, how many under heaven would answer by that earthly name? I am sure many will.

Again this world and its ways have been here before we were born. A world if lies and traditions of men killing each other over idols.

Money is not real, but we accept it because it was here when we got here, everyone else accepted it around us, and it is a monkey see monkey do world!

As long as everyone else goes along with it, we justify it.

But the child in you all know that it is better to give these things away than to receive payment for them! We have enough and yet I hear every excuse in the book.

There is but one death, then judgement (correction). Those that have crucified the flesh and live by the Spirit, are going though the process of being corrected.
