Pro 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

No, it's simply the wrong word. "Rights" in the sense of God-given inalienable authority-based privileges, are mentioned only once (that I'm aware offhand), in John 1:12...

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

Gifts of the Spirit are not "rights" in the same sense... at all. I don't have the "right" to prophesy; I may have the gift but I may not, as Paul makes clear in 1 Corinthians 12:29.

You really should read more carefully. They are called both gifts and manifestations, not one or the other.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

It's rather arrogant for you to think that I didn't know that. To be blunt, you don't know jack about me. Don't pretend otherwise, and don't make unwarranted assumptions.

Um, no. See above.
No friends your doing what a lot of Christians do and associating the word Gift, to Prophecy, when it is not a gift, the word Gift has been added to the kjv, because translations saw. No difference between spiritual things.

The word Gift is not in the Greek text, when its linked with desire the gift of prophecy.

Plus it still points to desiring the gift that is already with in the born again Christian anyhow.

The spiritual things where given when manifestation of the spirit occurred.

Every single account of prophecy in the old testament is a direct result from manifestation of the holy spirit and not a gift as such, but you could see it as one.

As well as the 70 chosen people to carry the burdens for moses

This is another account
Luke 1:67
Then his father, Zechariah, was filled with the Holy Spirit and gave this prophecy:

if you do not choose to see prophecy is a result of manifestation of the holy spirit at this stage then there's point in continuing.

the reasons why a lot of people don't realise this, is because it's now permanent and the spirit speaks through them with out them realising it, because they don't notice the change like they did in the old t when manifestation of the spirit occurred.

Some if not many many Christians dont even desire the the spiritual things of prophecy so the won't realise it's a manifestation of the holy spirit.

The other thing as well friends 😊

Scriptures states prophecy is not open for personal interpretation 😊

So why has the kjv translated spiritual things to spiritual gifts ?.

I'm hoping some discerning scholars will come in at this point

Read my post more carefully and thoroughly.

What makes you think I didn't study your response to give you such a detailed one 🤔
In your response to me you said this:

“Every single account of prophecy in the old testament is a direct result from manifestation of the holy spirit and not a gift as such, but you could see it as one.”

and

“if you do not choose to see prophecy is a result of manifestation of the holy spirit at this stage then there's point in continuing.”

Here again is my citation of 1 Corinthians 12:4-7…

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Do you see the word “manifestation” in verse 7? If you had read carefully, you would have, and you wouldn’t have accused me as you did.

It helps when you are reading scripture and try to apply what you read to how you live your life and treat others.
Well scripture is where our discernment should begin. You probably know this, but they say the way to recognize counterfeit money the best, is to handle real money over and over because it has a different feel.

So if you know the Bible, study it and are familiar with it, you can far better separate the lies some teach from the truth of scripture. The lies will just not sound right. We should all be 'Bereans'.

New Living Translation
Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives—especially the ability to prophesy

No mention of prophecy being a gift in this translation prophecy listed as an ability

.hebrew translation

hand in hand pursue love and strive to obtain the gifts of the Spirit and the more that you will prophesy:

Prophecy listed as a follow-up after obtaining the gifts

Greek translation
Pursue love, of spiritual things, but rather that you may prophesy.

Clear indication prophecy is a manifestation of the holy spirit. 🙂

And? Did I deny that? No. What's your point?
not my point friend its the word of God.

Prophecy comes about as a result of a manifestation of the holy spirit.

Christians have a manifestation of the holy spirit permanently.

Again, why are you arguing this point with me? I’m beginning to think you just want to argue and are looking for excuses to do so.

It is my understanding the "spiritual gifts' referenced is better translated as "spirituals" as a term that included all of Holy Spirits gifting.:)
