Jesus was a racist bigot who hated women...and a whole race of people.

It makes no sense that Jesus treated her like crap as a test of her faith. This completely flies in the face of His character.
I don't believe that he treated her badly. He also spoke with the woman at the well the Samaritan woman who was part Jewish and looked down on. I do believe that the message was greater than simply stating that the woman in the first example was a "dog." It was all part of the coming of Christ and HIS word. It's why we are grafted in.

John 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

But then He says:

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Both accounts bring a division of the same.

Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Romans 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Romans 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
Romans 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

This goes all the way back to Abraham.

First he ignored her...then he showed irritation toward her...then he called her a dog. For the record....dogs in the Jewish culture were almost as bad as pigs. He didn't treat her poorly? It would have looked like he treated her with disrespect, disdain and hatred....and it appears that the disciples approved.

In looking at the bigger picture, no I don't believe that He treated her poorly. If Jesus said something about this woman, or about you or me. Then it's true. I suppose it's how we perceive being treated badly. But when it comes from the Master, I can never see it as bad. His ways are higher than ours.

Nothing that God ever said should be offensive to us. Sometimes maybe our own lack of understanding is where the offense is.

Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Yes the truth of Gods Word is far above any of this left-wing nonsense and terms designed to bring others into a false truth.

Your the one twisting things, and making them what they are not.

I'm not offended and neither was the woman. The woman knew who Jesus was and did not act entitled at all...but boy the disciples sure did....."get rid of her Jesus".

I see what you mean. That sure changed though. It's amazing how in Christ even deeply ingrained ideas change.

I have heard (though I dont know the verse) that the OT does allow Gentiles into Israel, as long as they make the sacrifice of the lamb.

(Maybe someone can clear that up, if they know which verse I mean?)

But, that would mean that in the times of the OT, that God allowed Gentiles to worship Him in His land.

And there are prophecies (I think in Kings) about how the Gentiles would in fact come to Israel to worship Him.

I have heard about a man named Jonah, Who spent 3 days in the belly of a great fish, Because he refused to go witness to a gentile city. He finally repented. and went, and a city of Gentiles repented and found God. and not one animal was sacrificed.

It is sad that people who claim to follow him, have no problem trying to destroy his character.

Jesus said he did not come to judge, but to save. He came to save this lady. And love her, Everything that happened was according to his plan.

He did what he had to to prove her faith. A teaching tool to us all. I am sure he has backed many of us to a wall. and forced us to see the truth.

they are words coined my modern cultural marxists and not found in any Bible.

what's next are you going to use modern terms like homophobia and transphobia.

At the expense of being called pedantic, no, they aren't.
The word BIGOT dates to around 1590-1600 and was first used by the French to describe the Normans. The world MISOGYNIST is from 1610 and comes from the Greek word misogynes, which means "woman hater." The most "modern" of the terms is RACIST which is from the 1930s and replaced the word "racialist" which was from around 1917. However, terms like "race hatred," "race prejudice," and even "negrophobia" were used in the 19th century.

Karl Marx hit the big time during the mid to late 1800s. His most famous works dealt with issues of economics, labor, governmental structures, etc. and not racial politics or women.

However, ethic prejudice and woman-hating clearly predate the coining of any of these terms. The bible has several examples of groups being disparaged simply because they were a different ethnicity (for example, the Israelites being made into slaves is a form of prejudice). There are also examples of hatred toward women (the rape of various women like David's daughter, for example).

God's view of other groups/ethnicities is obvious...just look at the instructions given about caring for aliens. The same is true for women. There are the rape laws in Leviticus, for example, that reveal God's care for women. It's no surprise then that Jesus would address biases about these two groups in various ways throughout his ministry.

Who was he proving it too? Certainly not Himself and He would never break a bruised reed. And faith is such a personal thing and I can't imagine Jesus saying "see guys, she has better faith than you". I think Jesus showed his disciples how they had dehumanized another person to the status of "dog" in their hearts.

Agree and disagree....... :)

He would not break a bruised reed........however........a couple of examples to consider........

[h=1]Matthew
8:10[/h]
10.) When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.............

26.) And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

[h=1]Matthew
13:58[/h]
58.) And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

You'd be guessing wrong so that shoots your credibility of knowing Jesus' intention in His interaction with this woman right in the proverbial foot. And again...it was you who brought politics into the discussion. I can hear your axe grinding from here. Jesus was in the business of changing and healing hearts. Yours appears to be as hard as granite and in need of an encounter with Jesus.

Yea ...yea. Your so spiritual .... you first start a thread with a title that insults Christ and fill it with left-wing terms and thoughts that have no relation to the intention of the passages you brought up. Jesus was not preaching or teaching social justice that's crazy and its a common error of those great civil rights leaders like Jesses Jackson ...al Sharpton

This thread is a good example of people interpreting the Scriptures without having the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

This has nothing to do with women, it has everything to do with bringing the Word of Truth to His chosen people first. The woman was a gentile, it was not time yet to bring the Word of Truth to the gentiles, this is why Jesus treated her the way He did.

It has nothing to do with racism, it has nothing to do with women.

Jesus was to bring the Truth to the Jewish people first, then to the gentiles later. This is not about His Disciple having a dark Heart against women.

There are so many so called Christians who do not have the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit to teach them the Truth in the Scriptures. They instead Interpret the Scriptures according to what they want the Scriptures to say, not what God really says.

John 16:13
[SUP]13 [/SUP] However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

Its the Holy Spirit that teaches us all the Truths in the Scriptures Sirk. You need to listen to what the Holy Spirit says and not to what the World says Sirk.

Repent Sirk, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and be filled with the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Nah....I'm not all that spiritual. I just don't pigeon hole Jesus with modern ideas about right and left or democrat and republican....thats all you man. Judas was also very militant in his views.....and while that is a whole other subject... don't be mad at me for talking about Jesus' heart and love for people and for exposing His disciples for the dunces they were on several occasions.
