Wow,

We have differant understanding's, How would you explain the differant Race's with just Adam and Eve . The letter is clear to me, It starts with 6-day creation Man and Woman

Genesis:1:31
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

I'm reading all these events ending on the sixth Day

Do you agree with what is written?

If you do not understand what happen in the garden and the first Sin that took place, you wont understand the end time's,

Please anwser just one question how would you explain differant races from Adam and Eve how can you come up with mixed race from them two Eve was taken from His Bone's "Genes".

It is, as I said earlier, bringing magnifying details of what God did on the 6th day. Not...an 8th day. It is the actual account of man.

I'm not trying to change your viewpoint here, but I would at least like you to acknowledge to yourself that you are authoring your own version of Genesis. You say "understanding" given to you...but I don't think you can show where from the text. And I apologize if I am coming across pushy...it is a shortfall of mine.

I cannot explain how the landscape for humankind can be so racially diverse if only from Adam and then refined from Noah. The elongated life spans of 800+ years do yield massive population and migration and obviously the Tower of Babel in Gen 11 plays an enormous role in the differentiation and dispersion of mankind, but God's Spirit was still active in that time. But, I don't think God created people from Spain or China before Adam.

I do apologize for hijacking this thread about post-Noah population. I too have a brother-in-law who always tries to refute the bible, and Jesus, and it is tireless for me.

Also, can we honestly believe that a hebraic family yielded Asians, Africans, Nordics/Scandinavians, Mediterraneans, etc.????

Any person equipped with logic and understanding would see that being unlikely.

The virgin birth and water-to-wine argument on the other hand, are faith-based.
The former (continents and civilizations) on the other hand, are science-based (it is a weeeeeeee bit hard to argument against artifacts, monuments, and relics).

Like I always say, let faith guide you and illuminate you, not enslave you and limit you.

He would have lost so much blood, he wouldn't have enough clotting factor and would have bled to death again. Swallowing the camel (Jesus rose from the dead) but straining at a gnat (getting caught by the details of the physiology, completely disregarding the supernatural setting).

The Holy Bible is one of the most incredible written works in human history. It is theology, history, literature, law, economics, and sociology, all merged into one book, according to our Lord, the prophets, and the Apostles.

To simply take it literally is to undermine the significance and brilliance of this sacred document. It is far more complex and wealthy in symbolism and analogies to be taken to lightly, and obtusely.

To Episcopotic:

Scientific geological events may equally be triggered by natural cataclysms alone, or by Divine intervention (like Big Bang, creationism, evolution, floods, plagues, etc.). Just because science confirms an event, it does not necessarily rule out the possibility of Divine intervention. Hence why the hypothesis around Santorini as the triggering factor in the plagues of Egypt is perfectly plausible, as is God's intervention in the matter.

Same for the flood, but it was surely geographically limited, because genetics and geography demonstrate that the literal interpretation is not plausible.

Same for Adam & Eve. It was a Hebraic parable, a tale of "This is why mankind is as so, and why women are natural-born sinners, and snakes do not make good pets." Then Christianity came along, and tweaked the story to support its doctrine. This is a fact. Ask any rabbi. After all, they came up with it first.

A satellite view of the Earth shows how the continents actually fit like a jigsaw puzzle. There is no way that Asians, Africans, Nordics, etc. all came from an inbred Hebraic family, in a 2,000-3,000 years window. But as Raf mentioned, the origins of humanity, by way of God's creation, seem to have originated from NE Africa/Mesopotamia, and branched out over hundreds of millennia. Here, God's intervention is perfectly plausible and acceptable.

As for your argument on Christ's death and loss of blood, you left out a basic element: Christ was human, but divine, therefore unlike any other common mortal. Christ's existence is well documented in other cultures. His divinity is limited to us Christians.

Creating the flesh vessels for the spirit man body to protect him while in was in this second earth age the age of the flesh man that he was about to create in this verse. My brother-in-law proposed a question that I could not answer. The answer I am looking for is one that agrees with both geographical evidence and Biblical evidence. He asked that if The Flood wiped out all of humanity except for Noah and his family, how did they repopulate the earth?

He understands that there may have been land bridges that connected the continents that we may have used to travel between the continents, but they have been submerged for over 15,000 years according to geographical evidence. So if we repopulated by land bridges, that throws off the accuracy of the genealogies of the Bible by over 10,000 years.

If we assume that the genealogies of the Bible are correct, and inerrant, then there were no land bridges between continents. So how did we traverse the oceans when inter-continental travel wasn't possible for over 1,000 years later?

Personally, I believe that since the Bible we have today, and the scrolls we have available for translation, were written by man, they have a potential to have errors. The only infallible manuscript was THE ORIGINAL, 1st edition, hot off the press scroll. This is my belief, so I tend to believe that maybe during the length of the spoken word, before people started writing it down, and during the millions of copied text, someone may have left out 1 or 2 numbers a few times.

I hope to receive a more conclusive answer, or some support for my own belief. Its something that I am wondering now. I Hope to return from work at 6 a.m. to an answer. God bless any response I get. Thank you in advanced.

It is, as I said earlier, bringing magnifying details of what God did on the 6th day. Not...an 8th day. It is the actual account of man.

I'm not trying to change your viewpoint here, but I would at least like you to acknowledge to yourself that you are authoring your own version of Genesis. You say "understanding" given to you...but I don't think you can show where from the text. And I apologize if I am coming across pushy...it is a shortfall of mine.

I cannot explain how the landscape for humankind can be so racially diverse if only from Adam and then refined from Noah. The elongated life spans of 800+ years do yield massive population and migration and obviously the Tower of Babel in Gen 11 plays an enormous role in the differentiation and dispersion of mankind, but God's Spirit was still active in that time. But, I don't think God created people from Spain or China before Adam.

By coincidence I was reading about Noah's sons in Genesis 10 this morning.

I imagined following Babel, one sons decendants heading east and the Asians evolving, one sons decendants heading south and the Africans evolving and the other sons decendants evolving to the various nationalities of Europe.

I could be totally wrong, but on the grander scheme of things it isn't pivotal to the Gospel, just makes for interesting discussion.

I'm also intrigued by the nephilim of Genesis 6 who were wiped out by the flood. I don't understand why Jewish and Christian theologians interpret them as not being sons of angels? I'd best save that for another thread rather than derail this one

I was just reading a thread about Nephilim and found an interesting point from AussieIrish to add to this discussion about the flood:

'That's because the flood was not global. It was confined to a region around the Tarim Basin. Where it says God flooded the entire the Earth the original Hebrew word is "erets" which means land or territory not world or planet.

First you have to understanding what we have been taught for generations was not the truth, But God has warned us about these teachers that will not be teaching us the truth and the way I am I can not stand a liar! Because I feel if you can lie you will steal and kill and that is all the qualification of Satan he come to rob, steal, and destroy, so we have to get away from liars especially those that are lying about the word of God.

God did cause the flood that destroyed that area for sure but I myself don't this God made a complete destruction like He destroyed the first earth age, because in Noah let the raven out first this was Satan in the spirit form that Noah let off first that never returned because when God ask Satan where you been he said going to a fro the earth and that was the same thing the raven did.
