Ibe,

In my last post I signed off as "a sinner" because that is what I am. As lowly as they come my friend, though I'm not always so ready to admit it. On a message board such as this, we represent ourselves through our written words, and that can very much take some of the best parts of ourselves out of human interaction. I truly apologize for offending you.

GreatBlue,

It's all right, as I'm showing up as a rench sinner needing mercy as well, as I know you love our Father So I know you as a Christain, you are my Brother, No Harm , one of us got it wrong, Thats all, and we will be Taught the true Doctrine of Chrisanity in the Third Earth Age, I promise as it is written, we will travel at the speed of thought, you will look up and I will apear, We will help each other then . as Satan will be locked up, and we will be taught together,

The seed has been drop, its up to our Father if it Grows
3-Earth Age's

most flood geologists think that the conditions after the flood caused an ice age...which would have lowered the sea level and produced the land bridges needed to repopulate the earth...

later on people could have crossed the ocean by boat...

I think Genesis paints a very scientific account and I don't see how its dangerous to see it as such. I'm not a scientist but dr dino is, give his view a glimpse.

Astailia,
Concerning the re-population of the earth after the flood, you must remember that man's longevity was much greater then, then it is now; therefore, a man could have many more children than we have today. Did you know that Shem, who was on the Ark, outlived 7 of his descendants whom are in the lineage to Jesus (Gen11, a time chart will show this),who are Arphaxad, Salah, (not Eber), Peleg, Reu, Serug, Nahor, and Terah. Even Abraham could have known hiim because he was about 40 years old when Shem died. (Certainly, since those who were on the Ark settled in Mesopotamia and built Ur, where Abraham was from, it does seem possible that Abraham could have known Shem, and could have heard about the Flood which was brought about by man's evilness.)

I'm not sure why you are struggling with these things, as you have already dispelled some of the notions by the simple written word. Do not let the intuitiveness of men take you off the simple black-and-white you read on the pages of your Bible: as it is written, 'Trust in the LORD (HIS WORD) with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In ALL thy ways (actions and beliefs) acknowledge HIM (HIS WORD), and HE shall direct they paths (lead you into all understanding and truth) (Prov3:5-6). And again, Let GOD be true but EVERY man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged' (ROM 3:4). Remember, above all the parts of the Armour of GOD (Eph 6:13-17), take the Shield of Faith, which is your trust in HIS WORD, for it alone is the way to quench the fiery darts of the wicked, which are his lies about the TRUTH: for it is IMPOSSIBLE to deceive someone who knows and believes the TRUTH, which is the basis for the BIBLE.

Hello everyone, this is my first forum post, so forgive me if I mess up somewhere along the way.

My brother-in-law proposed a question that I could not answer. The answer I am looking for is one that agrees with both geographical evidence and Biblical evidence. He asked that if The Flood wiped out all of humanity except for Noah and his family, how did they repopulate the earth?

He understands that there may have been land bridges that connected the continents that we may have used to travel between the continents, but they have been submerged for over 15,000 years according to geographical evidence. So if we repopulated by land bridges, that throws off the accuracy of the genealogies of the Bible by over 10,000 years.

If we assume that the genealogies of the Bible are correct, and inerrant, then there were no land bridges between continents. So how did we traverse the oceans when inter-continental travel wasn't possible for over 1,000 years later?

Personally, I believe that since the Bible we have today, and the scrolls we have available for translation, were written by man, they have a potential to have errors. The only infallible manuscript was THE ORIGINAL, 1st edition, hot off the press scroll. This is my belief, so I tend to believe that maybe during the length of the spoken word, before people started writing it down, and during the millions of copied text, someone may have left out 1 or 2 numbers a few times.

I hope to receive a more conclusive answer, or some support for my own belief. Its something that I am wondering now. I Hope to return from work at 6 a.m. to an answer. God bless any response I get. Thank you in advanced.
This is oldhermit -

Might I suggest you read a rather lingthy and quit technically written book called THE GENESIS FLOOD? Of the many books I have read in my life this is one of the most impressive works I have ever read. The book was written by John C. Whitcomb Th.D and Henry M. Morris Ph.D. and is about 500 pages long. Both of these men are quit knowledgable in different fields of scientific research and are both defenders of creationism. You may be able to order this book from Amazon and you may still be able to get it in paper back. I think you will find this book to be quite a valuable asset to you study library.

We know in Gen. 6: that that the angels came down and took the daughter of Adam to wife and children were born. The the result were Giants. This was not part of God's plan and it made Him very angry. That is the reason for the flood in the first place.

This being our subject, its good to conclude , that, the flood was only in the geographical location of the Giants, only meant to kill them. That is why I think that the flood was not world wide.

You also have to consider this. Noah and his family did not mix with the fallen angels. So there were 8 Adamic souls saved. But , God did say, take two of every flesh aboard the Ark.

Guess what, man is flesh . That leaves open the chance that other people that did not take part in the ''' giving and taking in marriage to the fallen angels'' ; where also taken aboard the Ark . It also opens the doors that, the sons of Cain, also made in onto the Ark.

I hope this makes things clearer . and helps with your studies.
