I cant see that happening here soon where i live\ in the near future
lightly bumping a guy into oncoming traffic is still considered affectionate here.

You could have done it anyways, by faith, and said, 'awww fudge'. A holy kiss is interesting because it involves a glance and not a gaze. You acknowledge the believer by greeting them with a glance, as you gaze upon the Lord. There are other ways of greeting believers but that is one way that is available especially when they might be across the room and your hands are occupied with eating like yours are all the time.

When our Lord prayed to the Father at this time in His life, great thick drops of blood was coming from His pours because of all the demonic pressure that was upon Him causing this tremendous grief of sorrow and of being exceedingly heavy (or troubled with distress in His humanity) to the point of death (which would have been premature of the cross). There are two things that you have to consider in His request to the Father that revealed His heart and the focus He had upon the mission for why He came (Mt 26:37-45)...
Where do you get this stuff? jesus sweat blood because he knew what was about to happen to him. It had nothing to do with demons. it had everything to do with the fear of what was about to happen. what he showed is his true love for us. That he willingly took this on, so that we might be restored to a relationship with the father. What do you think the cross was? just a little pain and suffering. if you knew all the he endured, you would not make such comments.

grrrrrr - are you angry with me and are you going to charge me of handling the word of God deceitfully?

well if you think jesus was bloody because of demons, which he knew could not hurt him, Then I would wonder how you interpret other aspects of scripture, yes!

That's priceless :) But I'll tell ya Abiding. Even with all the turbulence expressed on this forum these past few days, I'm betting I'd still get a big fat wet kiss from the Redster. It might be with his boot ... but I'd still get one. Tell me I'm right Red :D

Ellie, you are making a mountain out of something that isn't there.
Red's last post to you was conciliatory.
Trust me,.....he was showing a kinsmanship to you,.....(though in a very RED way).
Sorry for the delay...my sister called to tell me I have a new grand niece/nephew coming!! :D
And then, you know 3 hours of pregnancy talk, what's new with mom, etc, etc. :)

So Mark very kindly explained that since I never had brothers, I didn't learn to speak 'male'.
And that since he had a sister, and was close to his mom, he speaks 'female'. ;)
And because he's bilingual, I still don't speak male. (hmm...could explain some stuff with our son...lol)

Which was all a pile of hooey, but wasn't it so sweet of him to say anyway? ♥

love you guys. :)

Death is a wonderful experience for those who are called home to be with our Lord. Do you really think that any of them would ever want to come back here, after being in the presence of the Almighty? Death can be a form of healing...the only way you can't see that is if you have eyes only for what is temporary.
Physical death is quite unnatural and NEVER intended from the beginning. This is one reason healing is provided for those in Christ while they are alive. I know of at least one that was not raised when struck by a truck while biking. She had told the leadership in the ministry she was part of who had seen over 300 dead raised that if she ever died not to raise her from the dead. God saw fit to honor that request. However 0 people prayed for equals 0 people raised. It seems most are 0 for 0. How about you? Jesus did it, the apostles did it, and Jesus said any believer can. The Holy Spirit can show when, where, and who. However nothing is lost by doing it on FAITH alone. Matthew 15:21-28

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." I don't see any negatives there.

God saw fit to honor that request.
can you see it??

Your right. We should pray for people to be raised...if that is what God leads us to do. And, you are the only one who thinks that this is evidence of the amount of faith that someone has.

How about you? Jesus did it, the apostles did it, and Jesus said any believer can. The Holy Spirit can show when, where, and who.
So what if the Holy Spirit never shows me someone to pray for, that needs to be resurrected? Does that still mean I have a lack of faith?

'Only believe, only believe
All things are possible, only believe'

You have a problem with fear, only believe.

You are discouraged and your losing hope, only believe.

You seem to drifting away from God and you don't know what to do, only believe.

You have failed and sinned and you live in guilt and feel alone, only believe.

All things are possible, only believe.

You lost your job, only believe.

Your wife or husband left you, only believe.

Your children are not living right and are in trouble, only believe.

You had a nervous breakdown and no one trust you anymore, only believe.

All things are possible, only believe.

This is having faith and believing in a living God who is for you and not against you. Cast ALL YOUR CARE upon Him because He cares for you. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT AND WILL YOU TRUST HIM, IF YOU DO AND IF YOU WILL, THEN SHOW HIM YOUR FAITH!

'Only believe, only believe

You have a problem with fear, only believe. He will take care of your problem with fear, not necessarily what is causing you to be afraid.

You are discouraged and your losing hope, only believe. He is the source of our hope.

You seem to drifting away from God and you don't know what to do, only believe. He works all things together for good...He is faithful.

You have failed and sinned and you live in guilt and feel alone, only believe. Jesus' sacrifice paid the penalty for your sin and failure. You are not alone when you are a child of God.

All things are possible, only believe. All things are possible with God, not all things are promised.

You lost your job, only believe. My Daddy will take care of all my needs...

Your wife or husband left you, only believe. He makes beauty from the ashes.

Your children are not living right and are in trouble, only believe. He is the author and finisher of our faith.

You had a nervous breakdown and no one trust you anymore, only believe. ...work to show yourself approved...you can't make people trust you and you cannot undo what has been done. Learn from it and grow.

All things are possible, only believe.Amen!

This is having faith and believing in a living God who is for you and not against you. Cast ALL YOUR CARE upon Him because He cares for you. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT AND WILL YOU TRUST HIM, IF YOU DO AND IF YOU WILL, THEN SHOW HIM YOUR FAITH!

so this means he will

1. heal me from all sickness?
2. keep me from losing my job, or give me a better job, ?
3. give me whatever I ask?

ONLY BELIEVE WHAT???
The issue at hand here... as I see it... is the idea that if you BELIEVE whatever you conjour up in your mind about a given situation that is what God is suposed to give you.
The correct believing ACTION here is... Believe what God says about ALL things... then you will pray and ask according to HIS will. YOU cannot know if you do not study the word what God says about all matters pertaining to life. If a marriage is bad and a spouse is praying about leaving the marriage to marry someone else... to be happy... well that isn't God's will at all... but lots of people have BELIEVED themselves right into their self-willed sin.
NO Matter WHAT happens to me... I am going to BELIEVE as in renewing my mind through the word of GOd to accept and presume absolute trust in the Whole counsel of God... not just grabbing stray verses to fit my situation and my self will.

Well rest assured the Holy Spirit will NEVER lead you to pray for resurrection if you don't fundamentally believe that is something God still does today... because essentially... Such a person IS lacking faith. The scripture clearly discusses... "measure of faith" and no one would ever have to cry out "Help me in my unbelief!" if our faith quotient did not have the capacity to be LACKING in any given area.

I agree 100%. The thing is, Anything you ask in my will.

So what does this do with healing? What if it is not Gods will to heal us, he has something planned to show or work through us in our sickness. or the same thing with a lost job?
