Wow, where does one begin?!

By the way if it's not Catholic it's considered Protestant. Even if you don't use the creeds, there are many creed like beliefs that are obtained in most all Christian denominations.

Genuine Christianity begins in Heaven, It began When Christ was crucified before Time and Dirt Were Created, absent from the 'stain' of man's religious wisdom and pride.. His Will as we speak is Carried out Daily as His Spirit Seeks His Lost sheep... this Church built upon the Blood of Christ, He that was crucified at the tree... Christ the Solid Foundation, His Complete Work, His True Church, flows thru Calvary and what He Accomplished! 'do you 'know' Him??? that will be the Decree of the Judge when He issues the Final Judgement upon the Wicked. as they stand before Him, ' I never Knew You' depart from Me. this Me? would be the Man , Christ Jesus, God manifest in the flesh! He that is ascended Into Paradise and seated at the Right Hand of the Father..... indeed!

Both of the churches are wrong. You can make any creed or doctrine you want, you can base it off the Bible all you want, but it doesn't mean anything unless you act accordingly.

The practices and traditions and beliefs of both churches are not Biblical. Some worse than others

It is easy when you stop giving yourself over to be led by sinful men down the path to destruction.
There are children of God in the various denominations. But it is no thanks to the antichrists leading the churches

I am not led by myself and I have turned from my sins as Jesus said we must in order to abide in Him. My flesh still desires to be sinful, but I do not act according to my flesh but the Spirit of God.

The problem with those who are leading most of the churches is that they do not understand the gospel. They do not understand that they are to be servants, that they are to turn from their sin. They exalt themselves above others, they are just like the pharisees and sadducees of Jesus day.

There are some good people leading some churches, but they are still missing the mark if they take for themselves a title and monopolize the meetings of the congregation, attempting to perform all the functions of the body of Christ by themselves.

When folks see this CAUTION SIGN above do not read my thread because it is too long. Save yourself the heartache, confusion, complaining negative spirit behavior so you can have peace of mind! It is very simple do not READ THE thread because by now everyone know AQueen is long winded. If a person does not enjoy history, learning, studying, reading, theology, religion or posting, pasting, coping, and philosophy. DO NOT READ MY THREADS! It is very simple 0+0=0

America is at the bottom in reading, writing, math, science because our attention span is short . Adults wonder why their children attention span is short because the parents attention span is short. Everyone is being dumb down in America.

. . . in America, we have achieved the Orwellian prediction - enslaved, the people have been programmed to love their bondage and are left to clutch only mirage-like images of freedom, its fables and fictions. The new slaves are linked together by vast electronic chains of television that imprison not their bodies but their minds. Their desires are programmed, their tastes manipulated, their values set for them. " Gerry Spence, From Freedom to Slavery.

There is only one True Church and the Catholic Church is not the True Church. You CANNOT call your Church a True Church when you reject the Truth in the Bible for the lies from Satan!

Jesus Christ is the Corner stone, Jesus Christ is the True Church. Jesus Christ is the rock that the True Church was built on.

Unfortunately today the Catholics have turned their backs of Jesus as being their foundation to build their Church on Mary as their foundation!

Protestants are always disagreeing against the Catholic doctrine, but do Christians know that two Churches have a common foundation! Both churches agreed abound since the foundation of the Christian faith. One Central Article of Faith:

Credo in unum Deum.....
Et in unum Dominum Jesum Christum......
Qui propeter nos homines,
Descendit de coelis,
Et incarnatus est....:
Et homo factus est.
Crucifixus etiam pro nobis:
Sub Pontio Pilato passus,
Et sepultus est.

This is written in many forms so I will give you resources to study. I know few folks will complain that I am copying ,pasting and posting! Lool! It is important for folks to know theology, religion and biblical history to understand their faith and be knowledgeable of the foundation ones faith.

The Symbolum Nicaenum, or Nicene Creed, has a complex history. It was first promulgated at the Council of Nicea (325), though in an abbreviated form from what we have below. St. Athanasius attributes its composition to the Papal Legate to the Council, Hossius of Cordova. The Creed is also sometimes called the Nicene-Constantinoplian Creed since it appears in the Acts of the Council of Constantinople (381), but it is clear that this Council is not the source of that composition for it appears in complete form in the Ancoratus of Epiphanius of Salamis some seven years earlier in 374. In any case, it was this text that appears in the Acts of the Council of Constantinople that was formally promulgated at Chalcedon in 451 and has come down to us as our present Nicene Creed. It was at the councils of Nicea and Constantinople that the true nature of Jesus was defended against two heresies that had sprung up. The Arians denied Christ's divinity and the Monophysites denied Christ's humanity. The councils, drawing upon the traditions handed down to them from the Apostles, condemned both heresies and declared that Jesus was indeed both true God and true man. In the 11th century this creed became part of the Mass. A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who recite the Symbolum Nicaenum.

  1. Orthodox Christianity definition. The form of Christianity maintained by the Eastern Orthodox Church. Orthodox means “correct in teaching”; Orthodox Christians consider the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant churches to be incorrect in some teachings, including the relations between the persons of the Trinity.
    1. A comprehensive guide to what the Orthodox Church believes about a number of subjects including belief in: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. TheOrthodox Church is the Church founded by JesusChrist and described throughout the New Testament.

Is Latin, again, in fashion?

:p

As I see that creed, it "reinforces" what the Bible itself says.

The only thing I think I would miss from them: Those good books they have, like Machabeus, Tobias, Wisdom and several others. :)
Except for Wisdom, the others are not up to par.

Unfortunately today the Catholics have turned their backs of Jesus as being their foundation to build their Church on Mary as their foundation!
You are sounding pretty sure of yourself here Mike. Care to back it up? You, Jackson123,valiant,notuptome,KenAllan, Can't remember who all else there was (been so many Lol) always post this Protestant/non-Catholic hub-bub. However, whenever I call you all on it, you always ignore me... Why is that??? So...... mi amigo, I will toss my challenge out to you (again) or to whomever else cares to accept my challenge. Now I quote:

"Show me any where in Catholic doctrine that is imprimatur, where it says that Catholics believe that Mary is equal to God and we are to worship her. If you can do that, I will denounce my Catholic faith and will join whatever church it is you belong. (What church might that be?) However, if you cannot, you would have to publicly admit on this forum that the Protestant/non-Catholic belief that Catholics worship Mary is a bald face lie. Willing to accept this challenge?"

The way I see it, if you decide "NOT" to accept this challenge, I, and others on this forum with any type of common sence, without hesitation, would have to accept what you say is...... and I say 'IS', nothing but a bald face lie. Now.... man up, and accept this challenge! Now if you wish to cower away from this challenge, so be it, for you are the one that has to live with yourself..... not me!

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Praying to a mortal person (especially one who is dead) is impossible. So they must be praying to someone equal to God

Like DCControversial posted earlier:

I am neither catholic nor protestant..

Jesus' churches were around before Catholicism and they weren't Protestant because they didn't come out of Catholicism.

The only sense in which they were Protestant possibly is that they did protest against the Catholic church.. but they did not need to reform.

Yes there are baptist creeds.. and even baptists that came out of the Reformation.. but the nick name baptist is a very broad category.

Yes you can't trace a perfect line from the first of Jesus churches thru history.. to have a perfectly clear line of succession.. but you can see the same teaching in churches going from the NT churches to today unchanged.

*Independence of a local church family
*Worship of Jesus as God
*Full immersion baptism only and only of those who have professed faith in Christ. Not of infants.
*Jesus the Head of each local church family
*Ordinances of TITHING and the LORDS SUPPER
*Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus
*Bible is the Word of God-- inerrant, infallible
*Complete self-governance of each church

These markers you CAN trace thru history. Through the blood of the those persecuted in these churches.

So you think baptists have been around since only the 1500s Reformation?

Look at the TEACHING above.. not a perfectly line of churches unbroken. A lot of these churches didn't have the name baptist. Baptist is a nick name given.

Well maybe we should change the terminology-- Catholic and Reformers.

There are definitely churches that are neither of these. Never came out of Catholicism and never needed to 'Reform'

I don't believe there was one document that professed and spelled out the faith, other than the bible. It was written between 325 and 381 AD, by 300 bishops who were called together to defend the church against Arianism. Because of Arianism, Christ was not believed to be fully God.

This is a link to what I am trying to convey. I hope it explains more to those who are not sure and quells any misconceptions. It only makes sense to have the proper information, if you are going to argue.
