Chatter, if you are not reading the Bible you are not being fed. The Holy Spirit speaks through the Word of God. You are missing the most important part of our Christian walk and you will be easily led astray, as I believe your posts show!

Daily Bible reading is essential to any Christian. And the Holy Spirit makes it alive and real every single time you read it. I've read the Bible every year for 33 years, and still learning from it and growing!
whats really amazing is, you have read that passage a hundred times, then you see it in a new light as Holy Spirit reveals it to you. Sometimes the same verse can show you 20 different things. God's word (Jesus) is amazing. Try this, every time the bible says "the word of the Lord" or the "the Lord said". Replace it with Jesus. It's an eye opener.

Thank you for your opinion, I thought I expressed myself, perhaps you don't understand that THE HOLY SPIRIT SPEAKS TO US PERSONALLY. YOU ARE WELLCOME TO YOUR OPINION.
Satan and his army speaks to us personally also. And if we do not have thw word of God given to us in scripture. We may think it is God talking to us. That is why Paul told us to study to show ourself approved, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Satan comes as an angel of light. if we do not have the word of truth we will not be able to differentiate words which come from him, and words which come from God. we have no ability to "test all spirits"

Have you overcome all resentful thoughts?
Not till I'm present with the father. But to say that the Holy Spirit does not speak. How did you get saved? The new testament is full of the Holy Spirit speaking. He hasn't changed, just mans teaching and belief. Jesus said my sheep shall no my voice. He said that because the shepherds would let there sheep out to graze in the fields and they would mingle with other sheep. But the sheep knew their shepherd's voice and would come when he called. Dogs do this to when you whistle. How much more when the God speaks to you.

Of course the Holy Spirit speaks to us! But without the Bible for a guide, you will be led astray. This is NOT my personal opinion, but the knowledge imparted by the Bible itself.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, [SUP]17 [/SUP]that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." 2 Tim. 3:16-17.

I think you have already been led astray, to think that you are going to hear from God without any reference to the Bible!

The Holy Spirit will always point to the word. If not, it something else ( just thinking, evil influence, or suggestive influence by others) and by the He will always lead to the cross. You can always pray for confirmation. What tells a preacher to be a preacher. The Bible? what leads a person to be a missionary. What tells you to go to this church and not that one. Haven't found a verse for that yet

Bible is spring of all goods if it is interpreted correctly and hell fire if it is interpreted wrongly.
Think about this.

Serpent seed, kenites, eternal salvation, rapture for cowards. Sometimes I watch just to see what he will say next. shame. He was a marine and some people are lead to the Lord. I'll give him that.

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. God help your understanding.

Oh My God, you still resent? Perhaps it is you who do not now the voice of the Shepherd. I know His voice clearly.
The Holy Spirit gives me common sense and removes the sin of resentment.

Is the OP saying we must be water baptized to be saved, or did I mis-read it?

Process yes, but totally justified at stage 1. The latter stage of sanctification means growing more into what Christ created us to be. And glorification - well that is after we die. So I think you have too many stages and processes!

"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1

"And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." Hebrews 10:10

"But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life." Romans 6:22
No, Sister, it is saying that while water baptism is important (for the reasons given in the OP), it is not the baptism unto salvation.

God bless

Step One in God’s Salvation Plan: “Called” We who are saved are called by God unto salvation. He calls us to become His children.
1) God is a Spirit. John 4:24)
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Meaning: In other words, verbal worshiping is not true worshiping, but, worshiping quietly in the spirit is.

"Be still and know" in other words.

It may mean that to you, however the point in the OP was that salvation first and foremost is a spiritual thing. A change that takes place within our eternal spirit. Nothing wrong with "verbal" worship. Even Jesus said "the very rocks would cry out."

Interesting that Jesus said we must be drawn to Him. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would draw men unto Him. The Holy Spirit would bring conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment.
Paul simplifies the process to believing with the heart and confessing with the mouth.

Water baptism is one step in the sanctification process which begins after we are saved by grace through faith.

God does all the work for us all we must do is receive by believing.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
I believe as you in that water baptism is one step in our seeking sanctification.........I hope to post on sanctification soon.

Heres my view on the process of salvation. The gospel is preached in some shape form or fashion. A person hears it and faith is stirred and they accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Then they are saved. Sanctification is a different story but still based on faith in the work of the cross and nothing else. What else is there?
I may be wrong here, but your comment surely seems to lessen both God's gift of Grace, and the precious blood of Jesus in your version. As I say, I may be wrong, but it reads that way.
