I am trying to learn myself, and I am finding it not too difficult to learn. It is working the music score software that I am having trouble with.

Also Im sure there probably is some corruption in CCM like many other things in the world, but to say that someone should play the violin instead of an electric guitar to sing about God, I do not know, it just doesn't make since to me.
People are afraid of that which makes them uncomfortable. Like a differing opinion can be an affront to someone who is insecure about themselves.

i wonder how many of the 'old' hymns we sing at church
were considered evil and too contemporary in their day?
I believe that amazing grace was considered evil because it was supposedly and old bar tune?

Probably, easily 80% of them. (And THAT is the kind of stuff we make fools of ourselves, defending as "God's [authorized] music" that MUST be held sacred and adhered to.

Oh Christian contemporary music now I understand. I do not pay to see them live at concerts at churches though.
I used to read the Christian News on Facebook and in the comment section I saw many nonbelievers try to start arguments on their posts and I think it may be happening here on CC as well. Just a heads up.

This is one of our "semi-local" guys. He sometimes performs at our church (usually religious stuff), and we certainly do give him money for coming... so he can also do this kind of thing... which he does all the time.

I've volunteered and played ccm at my church for over 10 years. I paid to see Brandon Heath at a local church. Very life giving concert. Best 20 bucks I ever spent.
Infidel!

Contemporary Christian Music? I got it, but forgive me. Since I constantly write and sing my own gospel songs around the house...I sing my own written lyrics more than radio. I'm sorry...oopsie on me :(
Thanks for answering the question I was too lazy to ask. (What is CCM?) lol

Ah, Contemporary Christian Music? I all but gave up on Christian music back in the 80's. It was neither contemporary, nor Christian.

Then again, by some standards, I'm a heathen because I honestly like the blues, good old fashioned Rock n' Roll (Bohemian Rhapsody included), green rock, and just about all music from the 70's.

Oh well! At least I'm not going to lecture on the sins of others in this area. lol

One question though (for all, since neither Skylove nor I know) -- did Contemporary Christian Music ever get to "contemporary" or "Christian?"
