I prefer the little children ;) grownups are too complicated.

Matthew 19:13-15
New King James Version (NKJV)

13 Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” 15 And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.

We cannot be perfect in goodness being in the flesh, for the flesh is motivated by selfishness and arrogance, but by the Spirit we can be perfect in goodness, for the Bible says a Spirit led life will not fulfill the desires of the flesh, which means we will not act upon our temptations, which means we will not sin.

Sin is the pride of life, the lust of the eyes, and the lust of the flesh, which are the 3 things that tempted Eve,which is of the world. To cater to any of those 3 things is to sin. That entails sin, those 3 things.

15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world(1 John 2:15-16).

God said if any man love the world or the things in the world, which is the pride of life, lust of the flesh, and lust of the eyes, the love of the Father is not in them.

So for a person who says we cannot achieve perfection, which is to abstain from sin, those 3 things, for being perfect in goodness is perfection, then they would have to have some form of the world in them, and some form of those 3 things, which then the love of the Father would not be in them.

To say we cannot achieve perfection, then some form of worldliness would have to be in you for you not to achieve that perfection, then the love of the Father would not be in you.

Jesus said it is good that we are like Him,so we can achieve perfection in goodness, which is what is required.

We have to be heaven ready on earth to have the same lifestyle as if we are in heaven, and the Bible says the kingdom of God is within you by the Holy Spirit.
Now if the kingdom of God is in you by the Holy Spirit, then however we would act in heaven we would act like that on earth, for God's kingdom would shine through you to display how we will behave in heaven, which is sinless, and if led by the Spirit we will not sin,for how can God fail at causing us to be perfect in goodness.

For people saying we cannot achieve perfection, would be saying that God does not have the ability to cause us to abstain from sin,and what is the Holy Spirit for but to cause us to be perfect in goodness.

here's a question for those who dont believe in holiness:

do you believe the flesh is evil, and the soul is now saved, so it doesnt matter if you sin or not, the soul is already saved?

See some of you here are being extremists, ive watched it for days. I myself want holiness, Who doesnt?
Its silly and presumptious to say if a person doesnt believe in perfectionism, then they love, or practice, or think sin is fine.
As if, as you just said that they dont believe in Holyness..go find one person on these forums that said they dont believe in holyness.
The santification process is not a flex of our willpower but a faithfull work of God. For me to say that I am not perfect, is not a
admission that i permit sin. That is really just a mean way to dialogue.

you say lovely. I say broken

I say guilty, you say forgiven

I feel lonely, You say you're with me

we know it would change everything.. if only I believe the truth about me....

You tell me things this world never will...."

The fact is if you do not believe you can overcome the flesh and thereby sin through the power of the Holy Spirit working in you, then you simply do not believe God or His Word.

Latter Rain (post–World War II movement)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Manifest Sons of God)

The Latter Rain, also known as the New Order or New Order of the Latter Rain, was a post–World War II movement within Pentecostal Christianity which remains controversial to this day. For clarification in discussion of the Latter Rain a distinction should be made between:

  • The Latter Rain Revival (1948–1952)
  • The Latter Rain Movement (1952–1960s)
  • Sharon Schools (Global Missions)
  • Other groups influenced by the Latter Rain.
The Latter Rain Movement had its beginnings in the years following World War II and was contemporary with the evangelical awakening that was occurring with Billy Graham at the forefront, as well as the Healing Revival with Oral Roberts, Jack Coe, and William Branham.[1] William Branham is often erroneously considered the founder of the Latter Rain because those who started it were inspired by attending one of his meetings. Rather, several leaders of Sharon Orphanage, a small Pentecostal orphanage in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, were inspired to look for a deeper dimension of Christianity after visiting Branham's meeting, and they began to fast and pray in search of it. Later that year, revival events occurred, and news quickly swept across Canada and the United States, influencing many Pentecostal believers.
As the revival itself died down after a few years, those who had been changed by the doctrine formed various groups which became known as "The Latter Rain" (Movement). The Latter Rain heavily emphasized relational networks over organizational structure. In addition, the term Latter Rain has become somewhat of a pejorative label; therefore, many ministers who were influenced in some way by it are reluctant to make this well known or choose to emphasize their lack of any formal involvement. Much of the movement, along with elements of the Healing Revival, slowly dissolved into parts of the larger Charismatic movement.

For these reasons, history may never know the breadth of its influence. Latter Rain emphases are some of the most noticeable difference between Pentecostals and Charismatics as delineated, for example, by the Assemblies of God USA in their 2000 position paper on End Time Revival.[2] The movement was rejected by classical Pentecostal denominations.[3]

This should not be confused with earlier movements or ideas within Pentecostalism including the Latter Rain Assemblies in South Africa, begun in 1927. Distinction should also be made between various groups with Latter Rain influences and the Sharon Schools (also known as Global Missions) organization with "camp" meeting grounds at North Battleford, where the revival and movement first originated from.

ALL BECAUSE OF THE GAP INSERTED INTO JOEL'S PROPHECY OF PENTECOST.

but true believers won't believe or take part in this, because it is CHRIST who keeps His sheep.

it doesn't matter if you sin?
who has EVER said that?

WHAT'S THIS 'DON'T BELIEVE IN HOLINESS"?

nobody even knew they were sinners til they were given FAITH by GRACE! repentence is a gift!

Its been the long hard narrow road of Him teaching and correcting and pruning, and scourging, and comforting, and time has been
the beauty of it all. His faithfulness, His mercy. Something a young believer cant even imagine. Death, sickness, personal loss, thefts
desertions, and the grace to stand and be torn, while being cleansed, and formed through it all, His timing, His way. And He will finish
it. :) I dont know how to perfect myself.

where does the Bible say that?... and where does the Bible say that repentance is a "gift"?

all i see is a woman screaming her head off because she has sin in her life.

and no, im not saying I'm perfect either, because I'm not.
but im not going to foolishly believe i can get away with sin because of God's grace

The blood of Christ does not cover our sins, it washes away our sin, as well as our sinful behavior. It does not only forgives our sins, it also changes our behavior, producing a moral transformation in the life of the believer. The blood brings forth a new righteous creation that God is looking for under the new covenant, we become the very image of Christ.
AMEN!! Yes indeed. The blood WASHES AWAY!!! AMEN!! HALLELUJAH!!
