Psalm 19:7-11, "The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple; The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes; The fear of יהוה is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of יהוה are true, They are righteous altogether, More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward."
This;

Psalm 119:164-167, “I have praised You seven times a day, Because of Your righteous right-rulings. Great peace have those loving Your Torah, And for them there is no stumbling-block. I just looked it up in the real bible.

It makes more sense now.

Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Let's see what the real bible has to say about Matthew 24 as well. I bet it will make more sense.

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Yep, sure enough.

I think a lot of people are under the impression that the purpose of the Lord’s commandments is to save us from eternal retribution. If one takes time to think about it, however, I think you will discover that it is possible to get into a whole lot of trouble right here on earth, and that by obeying the Lord’s commandments, that can be averted.

Deu 6:1 "Now these are the commands, decrees, and ordinances that the LORD commanded me to teach you. Obey them in the land you are entering to possess,

Deu 6:2 so that you, your children, and your grandchildren may fear the LORD your God. Keep all his decrees and commandmentsthat I'm giving you every day of your life, so you may live a long time.

Just FYI............folks might want to read Proverbs, Chapter 3, and give some thought to what is written there.........again, just FYI.....
Proverbs 3, “My son, do not forget my Torah (Instructions/Law), And let your heart watch over my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they add to you. Let not kindness and truth forsake you – Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, Thus finding favor and good insight In the eyes of Yah and man. Trust in יהוה with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Know Him in all your ways, And He makes all your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear יהוה and turn away from evil. It is healing to your navel, And moistening to your bones. Esteem יהוה with your goods, And with the first-fruits of all your increase; Then your storehouses shall be filled with plenty, And your vats overflow with new wine. My son, do not despise the discipline of יהוה, And do not loathe His reproof; For whom יהוה loves He reproves, As a father the son whom he delights in. Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, And the man who gets understanding; For the gain from it is better Than gain from silver, And its increase than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all your delights are not comparable to her. Length of days is in her right hand, Riches and esteem in her left hand. Her ways are pleasant ways, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those taking hold of her, And blessed are all who retain her. יהוה founded the earth by wisdom; He established the heavens by understanding; By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down dew. My son, let them not depart from your eyes; Watch over sound wisdom and discretion; Then they become life to your being And an adorning to your neck. Then you would walk safely in your way, And your foot would not stumble. When you lie down, you need not be afraid. And you shall lie down and your sleep shall be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden dread, Nor of the ruin of the wrong when it comes; For יהוה is at your side, And He shall guard your foot from being caught. Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, and tomorrow I give it,” When you have it with you. Do not plan evil against your neighbor, Seeing he dwells safely beside you. Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no evil. Do not envy a cruel man, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse one is an abomination to יהוה, And His secret counsel is with the straight. The curse of יהוה is on the house of the wrong, But He blesses the home of the righteous. He certainly scoffs the scoffers, But gives favor to the humble. The wise do inherit esteem, But fools are bearing away shame!”

A bible that follows pharisee decrees from 2,000 years ago?

...

The English Revised Version - Preface
"It has been thought advisable in regard to the word "JEHOVAH" to follow the usage of the Authorised Version, and not to insert it uniformly in place of "LORD" or "GOD," which when printed in small capitals represent the words substituted by Jewish custom for the ineffable Name according to the vowel points by which it is distinguished. It will be found, therefore, that in this respect the Authorised Version has been departed from only in a few passages, in which the introduction of a proper name seemed to be required."

Thank God we know exactly what those commandments are in the New Covenant. Obeying these brings the life of Christ in us to manifest in and through us.

1 John 3:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

It is not the 613 commandments in the Law of Moses.
Amen.

When we sin, we get ourselves in trouble, true, but when we repent of our sin, we are forgiven. I have repented of those things that I know are sin, such as looking lustfully at women.
There Is no condemnation for them that are IN CHRIST JESUS.Are you focusing on who you are IN JESUS or are you focusing on what you feel Is required of self believing It keeps you saved before GOD?

I don't think one will get in trouble if they obey the commandments.
But you will get into grave trouble actually thinking you will inherit eternal life by your trying to keep a few commandments.

:confused:If you were able to obey the ten commandments, why did JESUS come to earth?IDK Maybe you are saying,a person should try to obey the ten commandments and then GOD will allow them to be under grace.

Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

1 John/Yahanan 2:6, "He who says he abides in Him, is himself also obligated to walk as He walked."

John/Yahanan 15:5-16, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, produces much fruit; but without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch, and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. How Jesus walked was in complete dependence upon God the Father. Jesus repeatedly said, “I do nothing of My own initiative” (John 5:19,30; 8:28; 12:49). “I speak nothing of My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works” (John 14:10).

Jesus, as a man, walked in total dependence upon His Father. Likewise, we Christians now walk in complete dependence upon Him. That IS the example Jesus left us with. Just as He walked in complete trust and dependence on the Father, we are now to walk in complete trust and dependence upon Him, the risen Lord God and Savior. He then works through us in the same way as the Father worked through Him. Because; apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).

John/Yahanan 7:16-17, "Yahshua answered, them, and said: My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any man will do His will, he will know about this teaching, whether it comes from YHWH, or whether I am speaking of My own authority."

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Luke 6:46, "And why call Me; Ruler! Ruler! and do not the things which I say?"

John/Yahanan 4:25-26, "The woman said to Him; I know that the Messiah comes, and when He comes, He will tell us all things. Yahshua said to her: I am He speaking to you."

John/Yahanan 5:24, "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears (191) my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment (2920), but has passed out of death into life."

The Lord has given us several commandments to follow. I feel better when I am obeying them than when I am not obeying them. As a matter of fact, life has a way of crashing in on me when I am not obeying the Lord's commandments. As a matter of fact, I believe that's why he gave us the commandments: So that our lives wouldn't come crashing in on us.

When we sin, trouble enters our lives, so it's in our best interests not to sin. It isn't always easy, but we need to keep working at it.

Thats why I asked,Are you focusing on who you are IN JESUS or are you focusing on what you feel Is required of self, believing It keeps you saved before GOD?

There Is the ten commandments that leads to CHRIST and there are the two commandments where we are able to love, because GOD first loved us,CHRIST the vine and we are the branches and we receive nutrients from the vine and display the fruit.

JESUS kept the ten commandments and those reborn of the Spirit of GOD are members of the body of CHRIST,joined to HIM but If the person Is trying to keep the ten commandments that JESUS already fulfilled, then that person Is In reality not accepting CHRIST sacrifice for them and are on their own.

Paul wrote,I delight In the law of GOD after the Inward man but I see another law warring against the law of my mind and bringing me Into captivity to the law of sin which Is In my members.

Without JESUS,could we keep the ten commandments?

In JESUS we establish the law, love,A person won't steal from their neighbor If GOD first loved them and they love GOD.

Well said...and this is the crux between law and grace and they will forever be at odds with each other. The law is not of faith.

If we are attempting to be justified by our behavior ( such as keeping the 10 commandments or any other Mosaic ordinance ) - that very effort of trying to do or not do something becomes our un-justification and it is really sin. We are nullifying the very grace of Christ we need in order to experience true transformation by the Holy Spirit within us.

We are attempting to accomplish what Christ has already done in His finished work on the cross and resurrection. Our own attempts to keep the laws are in fact us sinning because we are not operating from faith - and whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
