No, no, no. The Lord leads us to perfection.
The Lord leads you to Himself. Because He is our one and only hope. God accepts nothing less than the perfect righteousness of His Son.

No matter how you look at it, we are to repent of our sin.

I'm not sure if I can help expand the topic. However, I understand that The LORD CHRIST JESUS modified the 10 Commandments. Apart from the one in Mt 19:17, in Mt 22:37, 39; Mk 12:30, 33; Lk 10:27 for me is one modification and the final one is in 1Jn3:23. I understand that The LORD did not preach about the 10 Commandments and sin but HE preached the Kingdom of GOD. And when HE said HIS last words ''It is finished'' or ''It is accomplished'' (Jewish Bible), HIS mission to give back to men the dominion or the authority to rule the earth when GOD created man (Gen 1:26, 28) but lost when Adam fell from grace, was accomplished and established through and in HIS Salvation. The LORD was well aware of sin since sin separates us from GOD, so HE promised to give us The HOLY SPIRIT who will abide with us (Jn 14:16), who will dwell in us and shall be in us (v.17). In verse 23 it says ''If a man loves me he will keep MY words and MY FATHER will love him and WE will come to him and make OUR abode with him'' and in verse 21 ''He that has MY commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves ME and he that loves ME shall be loved of MY FATHER and I will love him and will manifest MYSELF to him''. So, what is this ''MY commandments'' The LORD kept mentioning? I believe that's the one in 1Jn 3:23. The LORD CHRIST JESUS fulfilled the 10 Commandments (Mt 5:17) and that was part of what HE accomplished or fulfilled on HIS death. So HIS believers must have faith in the person and power of The LORD and to keep loving one another (1Jn 3:23 Jewish Bible version) and deal with establishing GOD's Kingdom, which is HIS will, here on earth. Like what HE said HE fulfilled the 10 Commandments and the HOLY SPIRIT - HE and HIS FATHER - are dwelling in us. So if anyone is still struggling about the 10 Commandments you really have to talk to The LORD about your relationship with HIM. We are supposed to be enjoying and experiencing HIS Salvation. And together with The LORD, being yoked to HIM, should be ruling and reigning GOD's Kingdom here on earth as HIS priests and rulers while waiting for the return of The LORD (Lk 18:8).

Acts 3:19

Acts 17:30, “Truly, then, having overlooked these times of ignorance, Yah now commands all men everywhere to repent.”
The NKJV renders it nicely here...

Mat 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

Psalm 19:7-11, "The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple; The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes; The fear of יהוה is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of יהוה are true, They are righteous altogether, More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward."

I think a lot of people are under the impression that the purpose of the Lord’s commandments is to save us from eternal retribution. If one takes time to think about it, however, I think you will discover that it is possible to get into a whole lot of trouble right here on earth, and that by obeying the Lord’s commandments, that can be averted.
you will get in trouble, not because you obey or disobey. but you misunderstand , why they were given in the first place.
they were also tied to the law of the land, for isreal. with the degrees etc. so much has changed since then. etc

I don't think one will get in trouble if they obey the commandments.

The Mosaic Covenant was meant, in part, to condemn everyone of their sin and to help them realize that they fall far short of God's righteous standards. Additionally, the Mosaic Covenant pointed to Jesus and his redemptive work through types and shadows.

Judaizers promote the observance of obsolete commandments of the Mosaic Covenant as continuing moral requirements especially some of the shadows and types. Some of them even think non-observers are unsaved.

I used to be one of them as an Armstrongite. Thank God that he liberated me from the nonsense that Judaizers teach.

I recommend reading "Freedom in Christ" by Meno Kalisher to clarify your thinking on this topic. Judaizers can put up a pretty convincing argument that can entangle you in nonsense if you're not careful.

Freedom in Christ | Friends of Israel

The Mosaic Covenant did reveal God's holiness in a faint sort of way, because there was a "law" underlying the Mosaic Covenant. And, a spiritual man can read the Mosaic Covenant and discern some underlying moral and spiritual principles. However, the Mosaic Covenant (and law) is not in effect anymore, and this is clear. Read Acts 15, Ephesians 2:13-15, Romans 7:1-7, Hebrews 8-9, Galatians 3-4 and II Corinthians.

The purpose of the Law is to serve a ministry of condemnation. It condemns us individually so that we know our sin. This should drive us to seek grace and forgiveness through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the gift of righteousness that this reconciliation brings. We are given a new nature that wants to please and obey God as a result...particularly important is displaying sacrificial love toward others.

Judaizers are continually focused on things like claiming that physical circumcision, dietary or calendar observances are required, and in judging non-observers. They rarely focus on elements like sacrificial love toward others. That is why I utterly repudiate the teachings of my past and won't fellowship with Judaizers.

Please note that I'm not including individuals who observe Sabbath and festivals because they are meaningful shadows and types. In fact, I'd likely attend such a congregation IF it was Christ-centered and not judgmental, but there is no such group around here. Most of them are nutty conspiracy theorists who hold a National Enquirer view of Christianity and church history, depending on shoddy works like Alexander Hislop's Two Babylons to make their claims.

Beware if you are considering fellowshipping with some of these types; many of them deny the full deity of Christ, the writings of the apostle Paul, and the Trinity doctrine. The dividing line for me is if any group claims these observes are requirements, conditions, or necessary fruit of salvation, then they are in violation of the admonition of Galatians, and Paul declared Judaizing heretics anathema in Galatians 1:6-7.

It should also be noted that Judaizers often are condemned by their own words..if they claim to be lawkeepers but aren't following every commandment in the Law, they are guilty of breaking the whole thing. One of the commandments, for example, is for all the males to attend the three pilgrimage festivals in Jerusalem (Passover, Pentecost, and Booths (Tabernacles)), but I doubt that many outside of Palestine do that.

They follow a modified version of the Mosaic Covenant that they claim is required, and insist that others must follow it. God didn't allow for modified, cafeteria-plan version of Torah; he demanded that ALL of the Torah be observed...

As I mentioned above, I am not addressing individuals who observe Sabbath and festivals because they are meaningful types and shadows, but only those who claim observance is a requirement, condition, or necessary proof of salvation, and accuse others of being in sin for non-observance.
